Food and the service was excellent, at the end they have provided the thambula (beetle leaves n aracnut) that was amazing. Enjoyed food and beverages.

We order pork chudals and fried rice. Both dishes were extremely delicious but my favourite will always be pork chudals.

Very tasty foodThey have a theme that I do not fully understand. It’s lots and lots of old wooden stuff. They have a bar as well. It does get crowded during weekends. The staff do not speak English except a few. But I guess that shouldn’t matter. They accept credit card. Service a bit slow. That gets compensated with the super tasty food. Enjoy!!

We went in, sat for some time and left. And no one bothered to ask when we were there or when we left. Thats the kind of hospitality you can expect here. Food may be good as others have pointed out but that has gone into the head of the owner.

The pork here is to die for. The restaurant has many interesting artefacts from Coorg on display, though not aesthetically pleasing. Easy to find parking. A must visit if you are looking for authentic Coorg food! Try the Pork Choodles!

The place to visit for traditional Coorg cuisine especially dishes in pork. Love their pandi curry with neer dosa. They also serve an awesome nonveg meal during lunch hours.

Serve some authentic Coorg cusine, you get a chance to see musium like decor.We were dissapointed when one of our dish chicken fry was stale, which we had to replace. Bear served was charged surplus as it was told that they added auto fare to fetch it from outside.One time experience for the place sake

The food is great. You get authentic Coorgi cuisine . Loved the Coorgi Pork curry and the Dragon Pork. For not so regular pork eaters, please dont try the Smoky pork curry. DONT. Everything else, u will enjoy.

Papera has great local cuisine (Coorgi).One must try the Jack fruit fry, Pepper Chicken, Bamboo Biryani and the special Curd Rice. Service is slow but the food makes up for it.

A friend recommended this place to me as a popular hotel, the food was ok not upto the hype ,the ambience was mediocre and the staff were not responding well. The signature dishes that they recommend was not good and also expensive.So if you are looking for a restaurant after a heavy day of trekking a mountain i would certainly not recommended this.

Good place with authentic kodava food. Collection of kodava history and pieces from history in and around the restaurant also have a separate place incase you wanna have a drink or two and then having food. Must try for travelers outside Coorg.

The food is extremely oily. They use Dalda/vanaspati to cook. You can smell that in your food. Had the same experience all the times I visited this place.

All time best restaurants..try pork roast

The largest place in the area. If you are a group of 10 -15 or more there is only one option, this place. It took a long time to serve as we were a group of 35 but the staffs were friendly & humble. Its evident that there were understaffed to serve such a large group like ours but the food was tasty. Overall it was not bad. One extra star for the viewview from the balcony of the restaurant.

This place was suggested to us by a local. Such good food! Dont miss the smoked pork, its truly unique. We also ordered the bamboo biryani as a takeaway and they actually put the entire bamboo in a cardboard box and gave it to us. That was really awesome!

The worst service ever I saw. Man handling on customers during lockdown. They jst framing themselves as social service for poor. But they are serving for business. My colleagues and myself had a very bad experience with their behavior. They treat non local people as a terrorist.

Just salt and nothing else.We as a gang of 11 went to have a tasty lunch.But it turned out to be disastrous.All starters were too salty and too sour.Main course also not that good.Look and ambiance is good but it ends there

Liked the local food flavour. Pork was great. Bamboo shoot curry was great too.The interior decor with various old items was a welcome delight to the eyes.Overall liked the place and would love to visit again.

The food was good with the price at par... Id have given it 4/5 simply because I liked the food and the quality was great while keeping the price in mind. But I waited 10 minutes before they even took my order and 1 hour before I was served... They served the coorgis before myself only because I was a tourist and the wait staff did not care to check up on me or (me) their customer why was i waiting with an empty table in front of me. There were flys hovering around the empty plates they didnt bother to clear once we were done and I cant be for sure but I felt some of the wait staff were high on the job. If youre willing to wait; try the place but itll be a Second choice for me the next time I visit.
