I had a pretty good dorm stay over here. The property manager was very helpful. Rooms and bathrooms were cleaned on daily basis. They also had a cafe, but due to covid it was closed. But you can still sit and chill in cafeteria. Stay was budget friendly. It is also great for solo women travellers.

I would say this was an average experience with very basic rooms of beds and shower. This place has insects issue in the room and I wouldnt say that the cleanliness is upto the mark. The property manager is helpful though. So if you want a place to just keep your bags and stay at night then its fine.

Cheap and worst!! Please dont ruin your travelling experience just to save some money. We booked dorms and room, both were ughh!! This place is really very dirty, floors are sticky, bedsheets arent clean, low quality mattress and beds and washrooms were creepy. No wash basin, one kitchen basin was available for washing hands, mirror was some other corner, both were outside washroom. Cafeteria/ sitting hall was at another levels, dogs were sleeping on the tables. And for sure, they arent cleaning it regularly. I gave two star because I couldnt stay long, may be they had some hidden gems. 😌

The place is okay but not great. There were spiders and spider webs everywhere! I think the rooms and the toilets are not cleaned on an everyday basis because they were not clean at all. Pricing is good but they should clean the rooms and toilets every day. If you are going in a group and booking the whole dorm, itll be a bit more comfortable.

This place is ideal if you want to stay in the city at affordable rates with an awesome host and doggos. The place is close to an atm, places to eat, shop, religious places and alcohol stores. The vibe is calm and serene, the dorms are very clean. They have 3 dorms and a total of 24 dorm beds and two separate AC rooms to stay in. The ac room I took was very spacious, non smoking and very clean. You dont always get food here but there are plenty of places to eat nearby. Loved our stay here, it was comfortable, clean and classy. Thank you for an incredible stay, Ill be back!

Its cheap,.in everything😂muddy floors, gutter smell bathroom, improper bed size, no fan regulator, no ac remote. Either very cold or very hot room. The bedsheet slips away from the bed everytime. The only good thing is the location. Its in a midst of the city so that we can have all the options for food.

0.3km from temple and around half a km from Main beach, it is a very nice place to hang out at night! On request, the manager will set up camp fire. You get to meet various travellers and find very unique and interesting personalities. The manager is helpful and guides very well regarding the local treks and places. The rooms and washrooms could have been better in terms of cleanliness. Dont expect hot water as mentioned in comments!

The hostel location is great, It is very close to the Gokarna bus stand basically the hostel is in city centre. Since the Gokarna major attractions are very far from each other, staying in the city centre will be a great option, There are a lot of hostels in the same area hence you can go directly and book your hostel.Now talking about Hostel Lit - infrastructure is great but beds are not clean even bedsheets and light blankets are not up to mark, Dormitory area is also not great, Common are is also OK OK, Washrooms are also not very great but you can manage, All I came across is the location is perfect but other factors are not good, The property is not maintained properly.My personal Advice -If you want to book online before you are traveling, Please explore other options 1st andmake sure the property is in central area which is Fish Market/Bus Stand, There are more than 20 hostels in the same area and you can go there and see the hostel and then book & In case you are not getting good options and you want to pre booking only then you can book this hostel.

We booked a non AC room for 2 girls at 1100₹ per day. Going by the reviews, we thought it would be worth it. But unfortunately when we got there, the bathroom was not clean. The shower tap was rusted and jammed, and the toilet flush was not working properly. The fan speed was too slow for that hot weather, and there were no curtains on the windows. Its a good hostel with poor maintenance of the non AC rooms atleast. We couldnt shift to an AC room because they were all sold out. The bathroom couldnt be fixed because the guy at the reception saud there is no plumber available in the village due to Shivratri. We couldnt sleep all night due to the heat and mosquitoes. Overall, it was an underwhelming place and a bad experience, and we left the hotel after 1 day even though we had booked for two days.Plus point: The people were friendly and helpful. Rooms were good, but require more maintenance, and more amenities at such a high price. Hostel is right near the bus stand and main market, and 7-8 min walking distance from the main Gokarna beach.Tip: Dont go to Gokarna during Shivratri. Huge crowds fill the place and make it very dirty. Also most people in the village are intoxicated at that time.

Inexpensive but not very functional rooms - one charging point, wifi was existent but spotty (had to use cellular data for work), lots of mosquitoes, AC didnt have a remote and is fixed at 24 degrees. Bathroom is not very clean and the water from the tap smells bad. Cough up a little more and stay at Zostel if available

By far the best place to stay in Gokarna. Was here around Christmas and believe me only this place had the party vibe in entire Gokarna with lights, music and fireplace. This place is just 300mtrs from main beach. Bike rentals and restaurants are available nearby. Wifi is available. Wine shop is nearby and you can drink and smoke in the cafe area. Shri Mahabaleshwaram temple must be around 1.5km from here.Estate managers, Rohit and Yogesh, are doing great job in managing entire place. Special mention to Shweta MIrani who was volunteering here during my stay and she brought life to the place with her jovial nature.Will be staying here again if I come to Gokarna in future.

Great place to stay for solo and group travellers. I stayed there for a day, however I enjoyed the most. Bed sheets and bathroom were clean. Its very close to temple and beach. Property manager is very nice guy, he also took us to Paradise beach in night. There we did camp fire too. Highly recommended .

Location: HostelIT location is well connected to Market and Gokarna Main Beach. One can get the auto or bus very easily and within 500 meters the bus depot is their. From Gokarna Road Station its 13km and Auto will be available even in Night, for me to get to the hotel they charged 300rs. HostelIT is Opposite to Hotel OM International.Renting Scooter: You can get the scooter on rent easily just contact Manthan(Manager). But while renting please make sure it has Number Plates, All Papers. Follow the rules. Even if Hotel Manager says Chalta hai bina number plate ke so dont believe it because police will not believe you and you will end up paying the fine charges, just get the another scooter.Rooms: Pretty Nice, You will get the Hostel Feeling. They have bunkers One Room 8 bunkers. And that room is separated in two with a door. If you are group of 8 One room will work for you. If you are 4 than 4 other unknown person will stay with you in a same room. Every room has 1 washrooms so 1 washrooms for 4 people likewise. Talking about the toilets/washrooms it not that much clean, you have to manage little.Food: Hmm!! Talking in general,I will say dont go with North Indian/Chinese or any other food just go with the local food they are awesome. Now Hotel Food was not up to the mark they have to Improve a lot though I have to say they opened the cafe/restaurant just few days back so might they need time to improve the food quality.

It was a great experience. Food was awesome and price was reasonable. Room was neat and clean. Washroom was a bit okay. But the best thing is food its of very less price compared to outside hotels and the taste was also really very good.

This place is located just near to the Main Gokarna Beach and temple. Also a good place for travelers. Perfect kind of a hostel vibes. While I stayed here for two days l, met across so many solo travellers and hanging out with them as the best ever memory. Also, people out there are helpful.

This is a mixed hostel. Boys and girls can share a dorm together - great for those group outings where you dont want to waste the night sleeping. You need to walk only 10 minutes to reach the main beach as well as Gokarna town from this place. The caretaker is a chilled guy who allowed us to use the washroom even after we checked out. The dorms and washrooms are very clean and spacious as well. Highly recommend this place if you are backpacking in Gokarna.

Very good new hostel in Gokarnas heart. Located at 2 min walking distance from the bus station. Dorm is comfortable, with lockers and attached bathroom. They provide no towels or toiletries. The ownwer and manager are friendly and helpful. Theres no proper common area. I recommend it and would stay there again. Bunkbed was 250rp w/o breakfast.

I Arrived at the hostel and the staff were very friendly, I originally booked for 4 nights but I asked them if they could cancel my booking for only 1 night and they kindly agreed without charge.The room itself was clean and I had the whole dorm to myself but the only problem was the mosquitoes were terrible in the night, they was so many that I couldn’t sleep I could hear them and feel them. Also they played music from 9:30am till around 7pm which is nice for some people but I couldn’t stay around the hostel to chill.

The places is in walking distance to main beach. Rooms are clean, there are a few holes on 1st floor male dorm, so a few musquitoes sneak in! They usually make bonfire in winter months which is nice. Overall the place is good for either a solo or a group.

Staying at HosteLIT brings cleanliness along with affordable charges. We went there in off season so we were only 2 in whole dormentory. They dint charged extra for stay of 3 hrs which were not in our schedule.It is located in mid of the city so it is easy and fast to explore the town.They dont provide hot water and one thing was missing.. and it was mirror.Phone payments are available. 👍

Affordable rooms. Located at the main town itself. Rooms have AC which is always ON. Continuous running water. No mosquitoes or bed bugs. The room is clean. Linens are changed after each stays.Lockers are provided! There are restaurants & bars nearby. The beach is only 10min from here(walk-able distance).Planning for a day or two in Gokarna then this is the best place for you❤️

This is a air conditioned hostel. It just been 2 months since it is opened. The hostel was clean and hygienic, however, the shower was not working properly. Car parking is also limited within the property. It is near to the Gokarna beach and bit far to om beach (~7 km). Since the hostel is near the beach there are quite enough restaurants nearby. Hygiene: 4.5/5, washroom: 3.5/5, parking: 3/5
