We were staying at Halfway Home on our trip to Gokarna. The tents are sanitized and clean. There is a table fan and light inside with a switch board to charge approx two devices. A liquid repellent is there too. There are three bathrooms and three washrooms. The restaurant serves breakfast and meals, really good south Indian breakfast and coffee. The wood oven pizza here is a must have along with different flavours of kombucha. The place is well kept. The owners are really helpful and will make your stay comfortable.

The BEST stay I’ve had in a very long time. As a person who frequently travels I’ve had a vivid range of experiences. This one was by far undoubtedly THE BEST. The staff is always smiling, food was fabulous, amazing hospitality and very clean. The place is very close to the beach and has a very scenic view from a walkable distance. It’s a family run place and is not just friendly for a group of friends to stay, but also family friendly. I would 10/10 recommend Halfway Homes and never stay anywhere else. All of this at an affordable decent price.

The small galli goes to this magical place! Such good food, dint get much time to explore food here but had superb breakfast masala dosa, and amazing oven Pizza. This place also serves 4 varities of Kambocha drink with such fresh and raw taste. We tried Ginger and Butterfly sea Flower! Also the view from the cafe is too beautiful one can ever imagine!!!

Very nice place. Went there for dinner.They serve local drink Kombucha in different flavours. They also have yummy pizzas, by default its little bland, ask them to flavour up a bit if you are interested.

It was a great experience here.There is no beach out there but they have viewpoint and a mind-boggling scene and food was really very traditional and very healthy...and lastly you guys will be having a experience of staying in a tent.I did find 3 beautiful cows at the back always staring at me. They are amazing too.Again dont miss out on kambucha, its not alocoholic but you will enjoy it

Most favourite food in all of Gokarna. The people here make it so much better. Its all about homemade authentic wood fired pizzas and kombucha....Would 10000% recommend it all of you visiting Gokarna.

This isn’t halfway home, but home itself. The folks running this place are simply wonderful and the food, TOP NOTCH. The ambience, sanctity and calmness is surreal. Surrounded by a canopy of trees, halfway home provides a feel of living in a forest. Time to bid adieu to concrete walls and embrace the tough fabric. Highly recommended.

Best pizzas in town .Its a wonderful place with very polite and supportive staff. Loved its evening pizza. We loved paneer garlic pizza and double cheese jalapeno (our days special). If you like spicy, just put some salt pepper and chilli flakes to have awesome yummiest taste.

Their food is amazing. Cooked fresh by the family. We tried most of their delicacies. South Indian thali, pizza and kombucha being my favourite. Also try banana buns.

It was really a wonderful experience, firstly we thought that it would be quite humid but it wasnt.... infact it was a beautiful weather out there and all sorts of facilities were there and the best part was the fermented drinks that we had, kept on ordering one after other, since it was finger licking tasty 😋

If you want to experience the best veg food in Gokarna this is the place. Their Veg thali is amazing. The camping setup is good and the stay is pleasant and hygienic. The sea vie is just 5 mins away and a very beautiful view from the hill top will leave you in absolute serenity. Dont miss the sunsets here, you will love it.

Tasty homemade food with wonderful service are available here. Staying in a tent is a very unique experience also beach are nearby which u can visit anytime u want. Also just behind halfway home u can see both sunrise and sunset by just climbing a small mountain

One of the next places for any vegetarian to eat in the entire Gokarna, their wood fired pizza was just amazing, dosas was another treat and the fresh juice was as fresh as it could be! Definitely coming back 😍 Next time please make your pizza available the entire day not just after 5, only complain.

On our last trip to Gokarna, Halfway Home Restaurant was our go-to place for delicious homely food. The place is situated on Kudle Beach Road near Zostel.The place has outdoor seating with 5-6 tables. We tried Fish Thali, Chicken Thali, Lemon Chicken & Veg Thali. Everything tasted good.The staff was polite & service was good. The menu is attractively priced thus the restaurant scores more on Value For Money Parameter.Veg Thali - 130 Rs.Fish Thali - 200 Rs.Chicken Thali - 250 Rs.Mango Shake - 80 Rs.Highly Recommended Pocket-Friendly Place For Delicious Homemade Food.

The cold pressed juices here are to die for and is definitely one of the best Juice bars Ive ever been to.The restaurant is vegetarian and they serve meals for lunch and wood fired pizzas for dinner. The pizzas were quite good for gokarna standards and is definitely one of the best pizzas on gokarna

It was a great stay there. The host Karthik is an exceptional host. If you’re someone who is bored of brick & walls hotels and want to have a different experience I would definitely recommend you to plan your stay there. The ambiance was really great and the feeling of tent was one of its kind experience. In the evening mosquitoes could be a problem but & since the bathroom & toilets are shared one so you may have to compromise there.If you are staying there do try there Pizza & Kombucha drink.

Ok foodies, You cant expect tastier food anywhere else so dont miss pizza from wooden oven and kambucha is worth trying.About stay, everyday we sleep under a roof why not try different thing and curled up inside a cozy tent, its worth experiencing.I suggest you take upper tents as u may not experience any noise from top.Everything here is clean and hygienic plus we get hot water for bath all the time. Ambience is artistic and creative. Owners are benevolent and I loved the presentation of food.Its walkable distance from main temples, Gokarna, Kudle beach and Shiva cave. We can reach there from train or bus stop in less than 20 mins.

Awesome, tried here dinner , choose thali, pizza, Kambucha, water melon juice and lemonade.. we did all. Worth the food joint one would crave for. Loved the gesture of the family operating the business.. ambience is soothing, taste just homelike .. and mostly its near to Gokarna main beach.. which is definitely a good option. Stayed in elmar hotel and enjoyed dinner here.

Beautiful natural setting. Calm. Great food. Highly recommend.Rasam dish was sweet instead of spicy. Can improve on that. Otherwise enjoyed the good meal.No alloted car parking but can park about 100 feet away.

Great place to have Pizza in the neighbourhood. Kombucha was also decent. Surprised to find this place among all the other nearby eateries.This is a family run place. Hosts were very welcoming. However, dont expect a fast or proactive service. There are lots of mosquitoes. Make sure to ask them for Odomos or mosquito coils.Olive Pizza is a must-try.

My week long solo travel to Gokarna wouldnt have been this memorable had I not stayed at halfway homes which is literally home away from home. Every single day I have felt as if I am staying with my family because the vibes here are so warm & welcoming. Aunty cooks the best south indian food that you can get in the entire Gokarna, not boasting even one bit. You must try their Masala dosa or Idli for breakfast, Veg thali for lunch and some yum wood oven pizza for dinner! Uncle prepares fresh juices right at the bar table so that you know that its pure and free of any sort of flavours or diluting elements. Their Kombuchas are also something you shouldnt miss when in Gokarna. The whole set up is very overwhelming for someone who appreciates good food and less concrete structures ❣️ Cant thank you enough for this beautiful experience.

I stayed at this place during New Year’s Eve and had an amazing time. This place is managed by Nikhil and Kathick, excellent hosts indeed! Nikhil, a very soft spoken, gentle man is super awesome when it comes to hosting guests - exceptional service! Food is very delicious and heathy which is certainly home made. Starting from my reservation to check out, had a very pleasant experience! It’s located at a right spot - Max 10 to 12 mins walk either to Mahabaleshwar temple or Kudle beach! It’s a tent like structure with common rest rooms and convenient enough for traveler’s who are not looking for a very fancy stay. Do not think too much, just go ahead and make your reservation now!

Loved the veg thali here. very authentic and very tasty. unfortunately due to current situation they are serving only pizza on all week days and weekend s only thali.do not miss if u love thali.i would like to go back for pizza.

We tried the ginger/pineapple kombucha and wood fired pizza here at Halfway home.Both dishes were really good. The place has a nice ambience. They are one of the only restaurants serving authentic wood-fired pizza in Gokarna.Open till about 9pm, well worth a visit if youre in Gokarna.

If you like to live in tents among nature and near beach, the place is perfect. Couples should prefer bottom rooms due to upper decks movement issues(it creaks when you walk, night time could be problem, probably cause an earthquake :P). You will get home cooked food. Hosts are chilled out people and will go to lengths and breaths to ensure you have a comfortable stay.If you are AC person, you should probably avoid the place.
