It is a beautiful place. Road to reach there is amazing with so much greenery on both the sides of the place.the whole dam is surrounded by small hills and greenery.

Its at the foothill og the Girinar mountains. If you are walking towards it on foot chances are someone will ask you if you wish to be dropped there unlike anywhere else that I have seen..thats the Gujrati culture of helping ...The place pretty scenic but I would recommend if the local administration can plan for boating to make it more lively.Also being closer to the Girinar mountains.. trekking routes can be initiated to let tourists get a feel of walking in the forest and climbing the adjacent peaks.

This is very strong construction. Situated near datar gate Girnar. The beauty of dam is glow with mountain and river combination. River is cutting across many mountain and make its path. I have seen the most amazing view of the dam. I have visited this place a couple time and everytime i found it more beautiful. It is right in the middle of Girnar Mountain Forest and is surrounded by Dense Forest. Green atmosphere makes it even more beautiful. Especially early morning and late evening is the best time to visit here.
