My wife and I ate at their Brunch & Co one morning. I had their biscuits and gravy and she had their omelette. Both were very good, but mine was a tad cold. The building is beautiful and really nice to see!

Yes, that means over one hour between placing order and receiving food. OK, that happens, we ALL make mistakes. Yet, food was barely OK - some foods arrived at room temp, some cold. Worst yet, it was all less than flavorful.Burgers cost $22. Full entrées start at mid $30s. At this price one expects tasty food.Wait staff tried to fix, no charge for food that was over an hour late. But as much as they tried, they simply could not overcome the lackluster food.

The location we were placed in was extremely closed to the line waiting for the bar, so the noise level drastically limited the enjoyment of the atmosphere. But it is what you expect from a high end tourist level attraction.The food, however, was incredible in spite of the scenery. Though be warned, the pricing is something to consider when dining here. Not family friendly budget, but amazing for those impactful intimate moments.

Wow & wow, the food and ambiance was totally excellent, the atmosphere was slightly dim and cozy, and the staff was super courteous. Our choice from the menu was the 22 oz. steak, the chicken, and the brisket, which was amazingly tasty and filling leaving us truly satisfied. The music selection (Jazz) was amazing and at times, you felt you was in the movie where Jack Nicholson (The Shining) was talking to the bartender and you hear the music in the background. If you look around the restaurant and the bar, you get the sense of eloquence and richness, but humble and appreciative. You certainly will not leave this restaurant disappointed.

There is nothing wrong with this place, it is just the food and atmosphere on offer are not inline with price. Two entres, a starter, and drinks will easily run more than $100. For that price the food should be impressive. It is just average. If the atmosphere was great it might be worth it, but the atmosphere is also just so so. Despite the price the atmosphere is more of a sports bar than high-end restaurant . . . TVs, loud music, etc.

As some other reviews will mention, the drinks are what youre looking for here. The food is not worth what theyre charging. Mass appeal to those that consider mayonnaise spicy. The memorabilia and decor were nice enough, neat callbacks to the history of the place.After waiting about an hour for the entrees, the food came out cold. Not typically a deal breaker for me, but the chicken was undercooked. Im not talking a smidge of extra moisture, more like a marbling of raw chicken. From the entree that was cooked, I am told the dish was bland, and uninspired. Appetizer wasnt bad, as Mac and cheese really should be foolproof. Our server Andrea was very receptive to my concerns of undercooked food, and was kind enough to inform us about the kitchen being undermanned and inexperienced. Would love to have known that before waiting an hour.Due to the slow kitchen, several patrons were eating outside of normal hours. With that in mind, and after waiting 20 minutes to get my change for the bill, I decided that this experience was no longer worth my time, and left without it. Our server was a really nice person, I hope she uses my money wisely and makes a better dinner choice than I did.**Edit** I am told there could have been a number of reasons my dinner went the way it did, and I should consider trying them again. I will consider it, as now I know to inquire about the staffing in the kitchen before ordering.

On our first night staying at the Stanley hotel we tried out the Cascade restaurant. The service is amazing in the food is top notch.We started out with lamb queso and as Texans were always interested to try food similar to what were used to but done differently elsewhere and they nailed it. Big chunks of lamb that was a very delicious and unique flavor added to the queso and tons of Pico added to it as well.We both had the same entree the filet mignon medallions and they were some of the best filet Ive ever had. Ample portion that gave you plenty to eat without being overstuffed.It wasnt too cold and we got to sit outside at one of their fire tables which just takes the ambience and experience up several notches. Absolutely give this restaurant a try if youre in the area.

The ambiance here is escalated with the anticipation of great food, and a great dining experience. However the okay appetizer, and bland and flavorless food quickly drowns the ambience. Although the waiter offered to do something about the food I cannot believe the staff could ever correct it.They truly overcharge for what should be top notch food. We just had our food catered for our wedding and ordered similar items to compare and be elevated. We wanted to treat ourselves to a fine dinner to celebrate my birthday - that did not happen. The food was almost inedible- bland and flavorless. I am always a member of the clean plate club truly hating to waste any food (I will eat almost anything), but we both left most of our food on the plate to be trashed... we ordered one of the least expensive whiskey flights - tastes of three whiskeys at $30. We spent a lot of money but were completely unsatisfied thus proving more expensive dining is far from being better dining. Dont be fooled by the hype of this place!

I had to write a review of The Cascades restaurant after reading so many negative reviews before we went last night. Our experience was perfect! The food was amazing. Service was great! We loved it so much, we are going back tonight.We had the Salmon and trout. Cooked perfectly!Definitely try the Cascades when in the area.

Amazing food and great service! I highly recommend the Brussels sprouts, mash potatoes and New York strip. The chef is amazing! 😄

We tried the tortellini mac n cheese, bacon burger, and French dip. All were great! Especially the truffle fries that came with the sammies! Well be back just for those. Cool vibes and friendly staff. Pricey though for what you get.

The restaurant had limited seating due to COVID-19 so a reservation is recommended. We ordered the Grouper Sandwich and Truffle Pasta to go on our first night staying at the Stanley. The Grouper was overcooked that it was dry and had a burnt taste. It also had a piece of metal on the grouper. The pasta was lackluster. We paid $60 for a take-out meal that was akin to a Chilis or Olive Garden, not something we expected from an award-winning restaurant as the website advertised. We had dinner again, this time it was dine-in. Service was slow, but it was obvious that the restaurant was understaffed and the servers and bartenders were doing the best they can. We had the Trout and meatloaf entrees, which were acceptable.

Hard to rate! The food and service is very good, say 4 star. Menu is small but fine. What bring it down to 3 stars is the very high prices. We have no problem paying high prices for fine dining worth the value. We shared an appetizer, had one entree, one sandwich and a glass of wine. The bill was $100 wo tip. Equally disappointing, this is no longer the old traditional white table cloth fine dinning of a historical hotel. The dinning room is really just like the lounge. Nice but not the special treat of eating like they did in the 1900s.

9/15/21 Made reservations the day before and were told they had late afternoon, or 8:15pm as the earliest we could be seated, which we took. When we arrived, 1/3 of the restaurant was empty and stayed that way the rest of the evening. I guess they are having a hard time hiring help. The waitress was marginally helpful and not fluid with the preparation of their entrees. What we did order was not terrible but was not impressive. I had Chicken Cordon Bleu. The chicken taste and texture was as if it had been frozen.There was a table of 8 business folks there and as the night progressed so did the volume from their table. We had to raise our voices to be heard by the our dinner companions. When the obscenities flowed freely we said something to the waitress. After a short time she addressed the table about the volume which seemed to settle them down for about 3 minutes. We finally finished our meal and left asking to see the manager. She finally came out to greet us in the entry way and had no excuse for not addressing the problem, never apologized for the experience and made an off hand comment about us being from Texas.Avoid this restaurant and save $250. There are much better restaurants in Estes Park at a fraction of the cost.

Very disappointing. We made our reservation 2 weeks out expecting a nice dinner. No view at all from the restaurant. Every place in this town has a view, even McDonalds...The staff all act like they dont want to be there. The place isnt super clean and the food quality is poor.The meatloaf tasted like a hotdog. The chicken wouldnt be passable at a chain restaurant.If youve ever been to any grand hotel you will immediately notice how poorly the place is maintained.Felt it worth mentioning since 2 people with just a dinner and a drink will run you about 150.They get 2 stars just for having a lot of whiskey.They play up the Shinning way to much for a place that physically has nothing to do with the film.Also, it costs $10 just to park

Beautiful restaurant located within the Stanley Hotel. The woodwork throughout is gorgeous and the tables are very roomy. Wasn’t busy at all and the service was exceptional, our waiter was amazing and very attentive. The prices are a little on the higher end but it’s definitely worth it. The caprese burrata salad was delicious along with the truffle fries, highly recommended.

Great atmosphere and staff, we enjoyed the local trout and cheesecake.

The Stanley Hotel grounds is fun to explore. The restaurant staff was great. Food was good but quite expensive for what you get.If you want the Stanley experience and have a lot to spend, dine here. Otherwise there are better restaurants in town.

Sub-par cocktails. Under qualified bar tenders. Reserved a table for dinner, kept being delayed. Tried to order a drink at the bar while we were waiting for our table but were ignored for 30 minutes. Asked the hostess to remind the bar staff of our order, again ignored. Finally, left after another 30 minutes waiting for drinks and our reservation. I feared the price of drinks and food would not reflect the quality and continued lack of service. The tour was fun though. 5 stars for Angela.

Loved sitting at the bar and getting drinks here just for the atmosphere and experience. Drinks were amazing! Bar tender was great. We did have to wait a while to get a spot at the bar but it was worth it.

So disappointed…we were celebrating our 10th anniversary in Estes Park and wanted a special dinner, so we chose Cascades at the Stanley Hotel. We secured a late dinner reservation, and arrived a half hour early. We were planning on having a cocktail at the bar while waiting, but were pleasantly surprised when we were seated within 5 minutes. We did order cocktails at our table, which were good but pricey (around $17 apiece). We ordered an heirloom burata tomato salad to share to start, which was tasty, but our entrees came out while we were still eating our salad. My husband ordered the steak medallions medium and substituted asparagus for broccoli. His steak was overdone, and they forgot the substitution. I ordered the local trout over risotto. The trout was good, but the risotto was undercooked and inedible. When our server returned, I did comment on the risotto, and she brought whipped potatoes for me, which was good. No refills on water until I asked, and then that was with the bill. Our server never asked if we wanted another drink either. When we were seated the hostess said ’happy anniversary’ but no other special touches. For a pricey dinner at a historic, famous hotel, this was a gross disappointement both in food and service. Tracy, it was obvious you just wanted to be done with work. My husband is a former server and bar manager and thus is forgiving and we never leave negative reviews, so know that you made a strong impression! We were in and out in under an hour also….and no comps for any blunders. Skip Cascades @ The Stanley. We loved Mamas Rose for Italian-great service and amazing food with attention to detail.

Very expensive for food and service of marginal value. My steak was supposed to be rare but was delivered medium. My spouses was ordered well done but was also delivered medium. I suppose the argument might be that the chef - a.k.a. cook - hit it right in the middle. The atmosphere was pleasant, though. Lets be honest, folks: can a French Dip au jus with potato chips EVER be worth $28?

Beautiful restaurant, great service, and awesome food. The Pork Belly appetizer was my favorite. The local trout was amazing. Everybody in my party of 7 enjoyed their dinner and had a wonderful time.

In Stanley Hotel Estes Park. One day visit is definitely not enough. Beautiful place. I recommend that you stay overnight and enjoy the whole experience. Buy souvenirs and eat local made pies. Take a walk in the woods. Dont worry there are no ghosts. The Shinning!

The the location and decor is great. The customer service is pretty good. The food is only so-so. We ordered the Chicken cordon bleu and it was overcooked and dry. Was very pricey for what we received.

I would give 0 stars but I did love the cool atmosphere there- other than that- PEOPLE WITH FOOD ALLERGIES OR SENSITIVITIES BEWARE! We were a party of 3, all with food allergies and sensitivities, I am diabetic. We all ordered the salmon (it was overcooked) and came on a bed of Israeli couscous Not knowing what Israeli Couscous was, we asked the waitress who told us it was couscous. Fine, we eat couscous, just not pasta. The meal came out and the salmon appeared to be on a bed of soup pasta. I questioned the waitress again who assured me it was couscous. I didnt believe her so I asked her to ask the chef. She left and came back and said the chef said, this is couscous. I tasted it, tasted, looked, felt like pasta. I called the manager over, she appeared bothered by my questioning. She assured me it was couscous and asked if I would feel better if she talked to the chef herself. I said I would. She did, and returned to say, this is Israeli couscous, it is couscous. We then googled Israeli couscous , needless to say, its soup pasta. I brought this to the attention of the waitress and manager. The manager apologized and said they would correct their menu. No reimbursement for our meals, or gift card, or anything was offered other than an oops, sorry! I was very upset as I had not had flour in my system for years, being DIABETIC, any carb can send my glucose out of range. I found the kitchen, wait-staff and management incompetent at their jobs to the point that it endangered my health, and I will never return.

The food was delicious, the drinks were awesome. The Brussel sprout appetizer was fantastic and so was the pork belly appetizer. The filet was also delicious!

Wonderful atmosphere and the food was excellent. We just ate in the bar, BTW, which was perfect for us. Our server, Josh, went above and beyond. Aside from just giving good and drink recommendations, he explained his opinions in detail, which helped us select our meals. My wife and I loved everything we had. My shirt rib dish was amazing, the fondue was great, and wife loved her smoked trout Cesar salad. Out drinks were great too.

For the price, this restaurant is not worth the reservation. If you are visiting the Stanley Hotel, go to the coffee shop for lunch.The prices indicate a 4-star restuarant, but the service was 1-star at best. Food was delivered to one edge of the table and we had to pass them to the right person ourselves. The only drinks refilled and dishes removed were the ones closest to the edge of the table; everyone else was ignored. The waitstaff could have easily approached each of us. The dishes were well-crafted, but were not executed well. Parts of dishes were overdone and others were underdone.

Food was de-lish and always enjoy the intrigue of the hotel. We enjoyed cocktails on the patio and dinner in the restaurant. Both enjoyable experiences. A little pricey but didnt mind since we were in such a lovely space with fun history:) Property looks great and lots of new additions going on. Would definitely recommend for a tour or food & libations!!

Cascades could be a really cool place but is suffering from being understaffed. We waited over 30 min for a drink at the bar on a Sunday night. Once we got a table and ordered, the food took over 30 min to get to us.

This restaurant is gorgeous and the food was delicious! The historical and elegant atmosphere was worth the price!! It wasnt too stuffy or pretentious. The food looked beautiful and tasted amazing! I got the filet medallions and my family got the sesame encrusted trout and both entrees were sooo good! The mashed potatoes were so creamy and silky, I was in love! We will definitely return if we come back to Estes! I recommend going to the Cascades if you want a delicious meal and if you want to check out the Stanley Hotel without actually staying the night there. We were allowed to take pictures as well!!

Had dinner and drinks here with the wife. We started at the bar and I enjoyed a well made old fashioned, my wife had a glass of wine. From there we moved into the dining area. The dinner was delicious. I had the elk loin and my wife had the New York strip. Both were succulent and tender. Cant wait to go back.

The most unhelpful, disorganized group of 4 hostesses we have ever experienced. Don’t try to attempt to beat the dinner rush, they will just act confused and tell you no tables are available, including in the bar area. Also it’s hot as hell in here.

The tomato bisque was amazing! The rib eye plate was very good too. Really good service as well. Definitely recommend.

The food, while quite expensive, was amazing! The mac & cheese was to die for and the prime rib was the best wed ever had. The staff was friendly, courteous and prompt. And of course its in the Stanley Hotel which was just beautiful and a bit spooky 😉.

Warning - this is not a fine dining experience in any regard!So I really wanted the poor reviews to be wrong and i shouldve heeded the alarm bells clanging in my mind but it is THE STANLEY - Right???Was hoping for good food, good service, and good ambience but was disappointed in all three categories. First of all dining is NOT in the dining room - its in the bar area. We were seated about 8 feet from the bar at a high top. Asked to be moved to a table but told no by the host.From host to waiters the service was amateurish and sloppy at best. We both ordered pasta dishes which were ok but have had better at chain restaurants.Subsequently, have dined at another restaurant (Bird and Jim) in Estes Park, less expensive than Cascades, but far superior food and service - let my mistake be your gain.

Wanted a table for our anniversary. Made a reservation a month in advance. We were told a high top in the exact middle of a restaurant bursting at the seams was the best that they could do and if we didnt want it, well thats just too bad.

I went back to cascades for the first time in a while today, at first I was nervous because of COVID everyone there made it such a great experience. The hostess there I think her name was Adriana, was so welcoming and was handling it all so properly. The bartender was so knowledgeable on the whiskeys I cannot wait to go back! Extensive drink list! Staff was friendly, yet difficult to flag down. Took pulling one to the side and letting them know we needed service at our table for them to come over.

From the start, our experience with Victoria at the host stand was not great. She had an attitude like she thought she was better then us. Once seated, service was extremely slow. Our server, Bill, seemed to pay no mind to the needs of his tables. I had to go to the bar to get water! We were going to order entrees, but the service was so bad we just wanted to leave. So we got the check after appetizers. We were also given the wrong bottle of wine, but didnt say anything because it was comparable to what we ordered. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Extremely expensive prices, yet the service is appallingly bad.

Neat little restaurant/bar inside of The Stanley Hotel. The staff was friendly, and there were so many options. The drinks were excellent and the food was good. Theres an aquarium downstairs near the restrooms there, should you have time to check it out! Neat place, for sure.

Great lunch menu. We had the Ham Hock Escarole Soup, Farmers Salad, and Raclette Fondue. All very nice, except for the Opal Basil in the Raclette Fondue which tasted bitter.

We were staying at the Stanley and wanted to treat ourselves to a dinner at their in house restaurant. The food and drinks were tasty, but the price was a bit high. We both split an appetizer, had 3 drinks, and two entrees. The price plus tip was just over 180.Theyre in a prime spot to charge higher prices, and the ambiance was lovely. Im glad we gave it a try, but I dont know if it will be a must stop next time were in town.

Wow. I thought I hated this place. But then this MAGICAL macaroni man named Patrick saved my life and swayed me from that feeling. I loved him!

The atmosphere is great, the hotel is beautiful, the drinks were over priced and the food was on par with an Applebees. The filet medallions didnt have any flavor with the exception of the burnt/charred meat.

Ive been here twice now and both times were excellent. The prices are quite reasonable for the venue and the food and service has been good. I love the burger and the beer selection, while not huge, is sufficient, as well.

Beautiful location but slow service. I get expensive meals at 5 star restaurants but our $60.00 lunch was just okay and one sandwich, a cold plate and iced tea took an hour to receive.

My boyfriend and i came here last night, with high expectations because of how expensive it is, and we left extremely disappointed. we made a reservation for 8:15 and within 10 minutes our waitress rushed us to order because the kitchen was closing soon although it said on the website and the front desk said they were open until 10 pm. i ordered a moscow mule and was given a vodka soda in a glass with a lime. we both ordered a beer which took over 20 minutes to receive. we ordered the mac and cheese appetizer and were given no silverware and asked our waitress if we could have some silverware and she said yes but never came back so after 15 minutes we had to ask the bartender. our server was very nice but could have come to check on us more, i also ordered the pasta dish that’s 34 dollars and it came out cold. the staff here is very nice but i think it could be ran much better.

Come for epic whiskey bar and setting, but don’t come for food. Never come for the food. Ever. Check menu before you think about reserving a table. Salty, heavy and mostly mashed potatoes and heavy pastas. Diner comfort food at best, truckstop food at worst. Service tries hard, cannot fault it.

Went on 2/13, and had made a reservation in advance, because it was Valentines weekend. When we arrived the hostess asked if we were aware of the special Valentines menu. I told her no, but that we would not mind. As we sat down she gave us the menu, and told us that it was $85.00 a plate, not including drinks. There were a grand total of 3 options, none of which were vegetarian or vegan. I booked the reservation through the official website, so I used my phone to check the website, and nothing was said about the price or options of the special menu. Usually the cost per plate is closer to $30-50, so this was significantly higher. The options were seafood or prime rib. We asked if there were a vegetarian option, and there was. Quinoa, and vegetables, and that option was $45.00.We decided to stay, because we knew we wouldnt get into any other restaurant. We had another couple with us, and they ordered a couple of martinis, and we did our best to enjoy the limited options, and still have fun. The salad was arugula, a couple tomatos, and two globs of mozzarella cheese. The prime rib was mostly fat, and the green beans were undercooked and flavorless.When we got the bill the martinis were $50.00 each. We did not feel like it was worth $85.00 a plate, and the alcohol prices were outrageous. The food was not very good, and we left feeling like we got taken advantage of because of Valentines Day. This is the third meal in a row at Cascades that we felt wasnt prepared very well, and was over priced for what we got.

Skip it - Not worth the price. We decided to treat ourselves to lunch while touring the Stanley. The service was awful, the food was worse – we had the the fried fish sandwich which was really bland and the bread was very dry. It came with a pile of french fries that was falling off the plate and those were cold. Our drinks were just flat out wrong – ordered an Irish coffee and received lukewarm coffee with some whiskey poured in it - no cream or sugar Dash I had to ask for those separately– and that was a $15 drink. Food service was also extremely slow taking nearly a half hour to order and another half hour to be served. Never saw a manager and could see the waiter was overwhelmed. Attempted to contact the restaurant afterwards via email and never received a response. Extremely disappointed.

Im glad I visited, but was not overly impressed with the menu for food. There is a ton of whiskey selections, which is fun! I ended up drinking a glass of wine, which was just okay.

Excellent food & service, but they closed very early and the barkeep was fairly curt.

We visited for lunch but probably should have just done cocktails instead. The whiskey bar is neat and has an impressive selection, including several local expressions. The dining is sub par. Limited menu, frozen food and indifferent service. It’s not terrible, but nothing memorable and quite overpriced for what it is.

Fun experience to be in the hotel. The staff was nice and knowledgeable. The cocktails were on point but a little pricey. We had the polenta cakes, they were really tasty but felt like there was a tiny bit too much cold tomatillo sauce. So good still though! I had the Lucy, delicious

I understand that restaurants are trying their best to remain a viable business during COVID; I suggest you go to literally any other restaurantI ordered the poutine; took greater than 30 minutes to get to the table, was cold, and way, way too salty. The elk sliders my mother ordered yielded approximately 1.5 total oz of actual meat, it was actually laughable For $16 each plate it is legitimate highway robbery.Also (not that presentation matters when it’s poutine) but the bowl it was served in was covered in gravy on the outside. I was concerned that gravy would be going to lots of other tables however our waitress didn’t seem to either notice or care.Hats off to these folks for screwing up poutine; I’d always thought that dish was unassailable but, goodness, it never met y’all.

Really was disappointed by the Christmas Brunch/buffet (2018). Our table of 3 paid $240 for what was a very lackluster buffet - food was not thoughtfully prepared, was bland, and most of it was not served warm at all, especially the turkey. Only really good things were there desserts, but I dont need to pay $80/ea to get good dessert. We were about the only thing baking, sitting in the sun by one of the large windows that didnt have any kind of shade or curtains.To top it all off, they stuck an automatic 18% tip on the check, which amounted to more than $35 for the waiter to bring a round of coffee/OJ. We appreciate them working on Christmas, but the tip should be representative of the service provided. All staff we encountered were mostly indifferent.Overall, I feel like a place like this can do much better. A traditional meal cooked to order would have been much better.

The old fashioned and the redrum punch are a must if youre here. A little pricey but cmon, youre at the Stanley! Live a little and experience the hotel with a nice drink!

Beautiful spot. Food is ok. Prices are a tad high, but in the range youd expect for a tourist spot. However, the reason for the low rating is because the service was some of the worst Ive had in a while.

This place has tons of ambience although the wedding parties can sometimes be a bit much. The drinks are strong and the food smelled good at least.It can be busy but the bar seemed very attentive. 10/10. Good whiskey selection.

Pretty mediocre restaurant. The decor is a bit dated and not great lighting. The staff were friendly. They brought our entree’s our while we were still eating our appetizers which was a bit odd. The food was a bit bland and lacked some flavor and for what it was, it was was quite pricey. It’s a shame it’s not better as it would really make this hotel. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here.

I am so frustrated that I dont even know where to start.My husband and I came to Estes Park for several reasons. Celebration of life, my husband fought cancer and finally beat it, our second honeymoon and my birthday. We chose Cascades to treat ourselves to the ambiance of The Stanley Hotel and the highly recommend Cascades. How disappointed we were with the Cascades restaurant, especially me because I planned this evening for us.We had reservations the evening of 9/30/2020 at 6:30.Our waiter was less than professional. We were never offered refills on our drinks, even after asking I waited forever just to get it with used/squeezed lemons. We asked for an extra dinner plate and kept given small plates until I explained what a dinner plate was. A $68.00 steak should never be cold! Didnt even ask if we would like dessert and lastly couldnt even find any management to express our issues.This was supposed to be our special celebration dinner. We have wanted to do this for so long.Simply ruined our evening.It shouldnt matter who we are, what we order or how much we spend.The Porters.

Huge disappointment!! We have been here a half dozen times before last night and it was always excellent. Last night the food was bland. The salmon glaze was tasteless and could not cover up the over-cooked filet. The wild game meatloaf, which is the reason we come usually, was bland and dry. Even the free dessert did not rescue the meal.Apparently they get a new chef every season. I would highly reccomend waiting until next season! Hopefully the next one can bring the food back up to the previous standards.

The tried charging me 10 dollars to put sweet chili sauce on krusteaz pre mixed corn bread.The chef de cuisine should be replaced. Who allowed this?For those wondering they say cornbread with sweet and sassy chili.Yes... premixed cornbread... with sweet chili sauce...Maybe they will offer eggs with sweet and sassy tomato sauce next. Aka eggs and ketchup.This restaurant is not special. Just grab a campsite and make s’mores. Way better and you won’t break the bank for cornbread.

Went to the bar to get a drink (or two) and got the Pisco Thyme Machine which was incredible. We sat at one of the high tops and our waitress was so friendly and sweet and our drinks were amazing! The drinks arent cheap but for the experience and build out of the restaurant I think its worth it. Definitely will be back next time Im in EP!

I can’t for the life of me understand the bad reviews. The food was excellent. The service was courteous and prompt. Wife had the beef ribs and said the were to die for - tender and flavorful.

Great atmosphere and service. Their menu has not been updated for months as the fires and then covid forced then to temporarily lay off their marketing person. But that was explained to us. Doe the correct menu, go to opentable.xom.

Terrible dining experience. Go see the hotel and then go back into town to eat. First drink order took almost an hour due to a “busy bar” that looked pretty much empty. Food was sub par for the extreme prices. Much better options right down the road

This was the most expensive bad experience Ive ever had. My wife and I stayed at the Stanley Hotel for the first night of our vacation because we thought it would be a cool, historic place to splurge on for a night.Cascades looked expensive but we thought that it would be nice to have one really good meal that we spent more than we usually do. The hostess and our waitress were very nice, but they seemed overwhelmed. We sat at 7:30, waited about 10 minutes to order our drinks, and then waited for about 25 more minutes for them to come out. Nobody came and talked to us at all during that time. When we finally got our drinks we ordered our meals and got a side of truffle fries out first because we were both starving and were worried the food would take a while.The fries came out pretty quick but I was less than impressed. They were fine but nothing special for $12 an order, and they were served with heinz ketchup packets. We chalked it up to the pandemic and didnt worry about it too much. Then our meals came out. The Alaskan salmon that I ordered was cold and covered in what I can only describe as orange custard. It was mostly flavorless with a weird sweet-orange after taste. Im not a picky person at all - Ill pretty much eat anything - but this was bad. I stopped after a few bites. My wife said her filet medallions tasted fine but she wasnt wowed. All of the veggies were undercooked, but they tasted ok.I pushed my plate to the side because I didnt even want to finish it and the waitress came over to take it. I told her I was done and she cleared both of our plates while my wife was still eating. Im guessing she told the manager because he came over and asked if something was wrong and offered us a free dessert or drink and we declined. It was a nice offer, but we were done at that point and just wanted to leave. They brought out our bill and charged us full price for everything.We noticed throughout the night that the manager had been talking to a lot of tables and bringing out a lot of free drinks and stuff. Im guessing they were having a rough night - Ive worked in the restaurant industry and I can completely sympathize - and it was probably made worse by the pandemic. I doubt any of the people there had much control over how everything was going. In my experience, problems like this stem from the very top. Judging from the state the hotel was in, Im guessing ownership has no interest in making the property any better. Its unfortunate because it has such potential. Unfortunately We probably will not return and would not recommend it to any one else.

Filet for dinner, was great. Service was great.

My boyfriend and I tried to have some dinner and drinks here. We waited by the hostess stand for about 15 minutes. Several wait staff walked by and looked at us but never even addressed us. Finally, my boyfriend went and found someone and asked if we could be seated. They said they will come to us in a minute. Finally, the hostess showed up and asked how she could help us. We said we’d like a seat for two but we didn’t have a reservation. Her response was, “We don’t have any seats open right now.” And that was it. She was rude and didn’t even offer other options until we walked away. And at that point, we were annoyed by the wait and rudeness of the host so we just left. I’m very sad that we didn’t get to experience this restaurant. I hope they find better employees.
