Very good food and friendly people. The staff doesnt speak perfect Dutch so I can see this being a problem for some people, but they speak English as well. The menu is more on the expensive side for the amount of food you are getting, but we enjoyed it very much!

To my surprise all the tables were taken by 18:30. I found the prices to high for what we got: a little bit of rice with vegetables, a little bowl of sauce/soup, something like 50 grams of meat: the rest was bones and fat! The food looked good and was delicious but not worth the price. The same with the dessert: definitely not worth the price. Quite disappointed.

Unfortunately this was a bad experience.Despite prices are very high in Gent, in this restaurant they are extremely high. I was attracted from the menu displayed outside which seemed to be not too expensive, but what I was given was not what I had asked for. I was brought another menu which was 20 euro for a plate. On top of that I ordered a 1liter water which I found out on the bill was 7 euro! 7 euro for a bottle of water????????? Never seen anywhere in the world! In two we spent over 50 euro for eating something we did not ask for, was average quality and absolutely overpriced.Staff do not speak English correctly, there was issue in communicating. We just paid the bill and we ll never go back.

Im giving this restaurant 5 stars because I feel they may have taken note of the poor service reviews and heeded the advice. Our service was amazing and super friendly. It was quick and accurate. The food was simply amazing. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Also as a side note I do not like Indian food.

Explained in no uncertain terms what I wanted. Waiter returned with almost the exact opposite. Being at a gathering, I could not express my disappointment enough. Waiter claimed not to know what I wanted, but still served me the wrong dish. If I could post less than one star, I would. Still had to tip as part of a group. Also very overpriced.

Located in the busy, historic area of the city. A large outdoor setting area on the street. The vegetarian options are much better than the meat dishes. The starters are over priced and not very tasty.

Review №43

The food and service was good. But some recipes were not as good as expected like the Tarka dal. But the Shahi paneer was awesome here. It is very pricy for the food they provide. The plus point is it is near the city center and Gavensteen. I would still suggest this one over the other India restaurant on the street. It has a good ambiance and service.

I don’t know why this restaurant has such a bad rating. As for me, the food was very tasty and the price was pretty reasonable. We paid 19,90€ for a thali that we shared (but we also ordered momos extra) and it was totally enough for us. Thali was big and consisted of different curries : lamb, chicken, veggies and linsen. The food was served pretty fast. The service was good as well.

We go with years in between hoping the food improves with the change in ownership. Reheated dishes that should be steaming hot on a sizzling iron plate are served cold on top. Flavour was bland at best. And the mango lassie from a pack. Bhaji/Pakora were also related as a consequence soft from one side to the middle. Samosas were also reheated in the microwave with dry chickpeas. Its not worth talking about flavour when they cant even heat a dish properly.

Great Indian- Nepalese food on a quiet location with a typical Indian menu spiced up by some Nepalese dishes. I ordered the daily special and, boiiiiii i was totaly blasted.Lots of fresh tasty sauces alongside some lentils garnish and puffy rice came and I remamber my friend was giving the waiter the looks thinking this is all we are going to get(he ordered the special as well) at which point he was told the dish is yet to comeA minute later, hes serving a humongous hot pan on top of which the dish, a pile of lamb&chicken dim sums mixed with fresh vegetables still simmeringMy friends where taking pictures...only mentioning so you can get the whole picture😬.Decent prices, fine service, great location.A solid 4*

Hate the bad service. On our last and final visit the waiter forgot our starters and brought the main course instead. We politely asked for what we ordered so he took the food back and we waited 40 minutes for soup. We also heard banging and crashing in the kitchen, which, we assumed was the chef blowing off at the mix up. When we finally did get our soup the chef came out of the kitchen and stood staring at us?? We asked him what the problem was but he didnt answer. We refused the next course, paid, and ran out. Never again, and we were the only ones in there!!
