Easily reached from Huliyar Kadur highway, changing at Budhial cross. KSRTC busses also play to Chitradurga, Tiptur, Hiliyar etc. Plenty of share au tos will take you to the rangapura betta. Once there there are about 100 steps to the main temple.Not an exotic location; but views from 100 ft above are worth. Prasadam might be available at the various mutts/choultries opposite.

Climbing some steps take you to the ancient renovated temple having a wall sculpture of story. The temple also has room for meditation in front of garbhagudi. Lord Vishnu being the main God in garbhagudi. Some other structures give home for the other Devine Gods.

A serene temple on top of a hillock :) can drive till the base of the temple :) but parking up there is a pain ...Temple is well maintained and neatly kept ... Not sure of the timings though :)Recommended to use personal transport as there is a scarcity of public transport except for paid autos :(

Out of few kurma temple ,this is the only temple in karnataka,being a remote place transportation is poor,few buses available from tiptur.on hill top (300 steps)temple is expanded with new buildings good,huge saligrame is kurma avatar sarrounding other temples are here,other then teerth nothing is available,at bus top snacks,drinks available,no arrangements for stay.great thing to visit such place.

Very powerful God, very good nature, on some occasions during uthsava people could ask questions directly to God and people will get instant answer about there questions.On the mid section, theres a temple named doodede kencharaya swamy Where almost everyday prasadas will be given from doodede which will be served first to Dasayas (holy ppl of the temple)Now the Roads are greatly maintained, you could see some rare spices of birds, Ive tried to capture some but unfortunately my phone camera was not good enough to get the birds clearlyThere are other powerful temples nearby namely Boothappa, Parapaswamy,koddillakamma and many moreThere is a Kalyani filled with milk about 500mts from the temple which is mystery of the nature , the Kalyani is filled with water which is of Wight colour

Our family God ! The present size of the God has increased over the years. Myself have witnessed it.For information there is one more temple devoted to Kurma avatara at Sri kurumum 15 kms from srikakulam Andhra Pradesh. and the nearest airport is vishakapatnam
