Absolutely excellent food.ovely ambience.Staff and service excellent. I could not fault this beautifully decorated small restaurant. I would highly recommend if you are in Galway City.

The overall three-star rating is to support a local business in such a hard time.Food- 3 stars, just fine. I only tried one curry which was not impressive. And simplest plain rice charged extra nearly 3 euros, which has never seen in other Asian restaurants I have tried in Galway.Cocktail- 4 stars. Good taste good feature. There are a long list of cocktail to choose. Tried the Asian Tea Gin, worth to try but not for drinkers who look for large size of drinks.Service- 2 stars only to the girl who took our oder. She was friendly. But the manager worth only 1 star!!!!!!This is the reason I leave my very first comment on Google. Walked in and booked a table for 7:45pm on a Thursday night FACE TO FACE with the manager (I assumed this only guy who wore suite in the restaurant is the manager. I know the owners are lovely Asian couple). I was told by him the ONLY indoor table I could book for that time was the table like a bar table and would be free WHOLE night. Arrived at the restaurant at 7:20pm. My friend and I were told that we arrived too early and if we booked a table at 7:45pm and we should not be in the restaurant earlier than that time. I asked if we could sit at a table in the garden to wait and this manager said yes but we would have to leave that table in 5 mins as it was booked as well. Well, so we went for a walk till we can be seated at 7:45pm. As soon as we left the restaurant, this manager called me and tried to convince me that I wanted to book a table at 7:45pm but he confirmed with me with a reservation at 8:45pm. I was shocked and upset. Wow, thats too much. DO NOT EVER try to convince a customer that she/ he makes a mistake which she/ he did not!!! That is terrible. If there are other customers cut in the que, just tell the truth. I would be so happy to spend my time and money somewhere else instead of in a place that managed by someone like him and being accused of making a mistake which I DID NOT! And I hope there is no other reasons that this manager treated me and my friend like this ( we are both colored females). This ruined my whole experience at the restaurant that I have been looking forward to visiting.Suggestion- Please clarify to any customer that the simplest plain rice is not a free side dish included in any meal in the restaurant when taking order.

Great find and worth a visit, amazing food and great flavours, service was excellent .

I enjoyed my meal but it wasn’t exactly as described in the menu. It stated chicken with pineapple and chills however there was only one piece of pineapple and one chili. The mixed vegetables were so so. The staff was friendly and the service was prompt.

Was there with my Daughter, Asian Street food, nothing special, and Totally over priced €20 for a bowl of Thai Curry and a bit of Rice

Nice and reasonable food...

The food here is absolutely gorgeous. Lots of options to choose from. We werent waiting any more than 10 mins for our dinner to come out which is brilliant as you only half 1hr 30mins per booking due to covid. Cocktails were gorgeous too. Definitely put this on your go to list if visiting Galway City, you wont regret it! Also not to mention there was lots of staff working there and every single one we spoke to were lovely to deal with. 10/10

Great tasting food and friendly staff. Asian Tea House is kinda off the beaten path, but if youre looking for some excellent Chinese food, check this place out. Great taste and large portion for the price. We started with the Crispy Duck Egg Rolls which were perfectly cooked. I had the Szechuan Beef with fried rice added as a side. Again, perfectly seasoned and wonderful tasting. For dessert, I had the Light Yogurt Oreo Cheesecake with a scoop of ice cream. Was refreshing, light and tasted great. Will definitely head back tp this fine establishment before we leave.

Food is alright, nothing too amazing but it did the job.

Went to the restaurant for a friends bridal party. I must say the ambience was good. A lot of Asian decor but also friendly. The waitresses were fabulous and polite. Food arrived in good time, all seafood tasted fresh and I must say that the portion size was good (would fill up an average sized male 😀🙃😀 and when you order a meal with prawns, you get jumbo sized prawns...not 2-3 pieces of prawns as happens in a lot of restaurants 🙈🙈🙈). Nice tea collection as well. All in all, was money well spent in a relaxed atmosphere with good tasty food. Would definitely recommend this place for anyway in Galway with a good appetite and looking for their moneys worth 😀🙃🙃

I ordered the Malay Roti Canai as it sounded a bit unique and it was absolutely phenomenal. My buddy got the sweet and sour chicken and was equally impressed. Probably the best meal weve had after more than a week in the country.

Price was a bit steep. Would have been reasonable if side was included in main. Cocktails were nice though.

The take-away offer in times of covid-19w is excellent as the restaurant was in the past, a true comfort. Well sbove the average of Asian cousins offered in this corner of Ireland. Hygiene and precautions in these sad times are kept very high in the indoor waiting area.

Food is delicious but we were asked to leave after being given a dessert menu without getting a chance to order a dessert

Service was great, very friendly staff. Food was incredible. Everything we ordered was delicious. We had the dumplings and wontons as starters and prawn pad thai and redcurry chicken as main courses. Also cocktails were amazing, we had japannese garden and others. Will come back for sure.

Only complaint was the salad dressing and the size of the dessert, I got chicken and mango fried rice and it was served with a small portion of salad (most of the dishes were served with salad) and the dressing was disgusting. Everyone agreed with me and nobody could finish it. The fried rice was delicious and the waters were very nice and friendly. The dessert cost €6.50 for a tiny cube of cake... Overall would recommend.

The best Asian food in the country

Amazing place to eat. Food was so so good from starters to mains and dessert. Samples some fine Japanese beer too and some gin cocktails. Well priced and brilliant staff help to make it an all round brilliant place to dine if in the Galway area.

The food and service were excellent, portions have gotten a little smaller but hey there was enough. Interesting little thing meals like udon noodles might be better in bowls 🤔

Restaurant menu is impressive - plenty dishes to choose. Restaurant is really nice inside, it has nice atmosphere, and friendly staff. Meals are huge and tasty, i like spicy food and I was a bit disappointed with my meal which was rated as medium hot but it was not spicy at all...Meals are not to expensive, for a 4persons main meals with one starter and a bottle of wine we paid about €110...I would recommend this restaurant if you fancy Asian cuisine.

Booked table for 9pm in buddha waited by crowded bar for an hour before we actually got a table in Asian tea house. Blonde waitress was very rude.

Ate here with my SO, curry was 80% potatoes and onions in both of our dishes, which werent part of eithers description, server recommended rice with it (additional charge) as she was recommending to other tables near us... so it was starch on starch. atmosphere is fun and service was fast, but food tasted like if Id attempted to make it myself at home.

High quality food and a very authentic restaurant. Owner invests in brilliant Asian decor which is blended into an old Galway building with original walls and arches exposed. I bumped into the owner in Hong Kong on one of his many Asian trips to sample local foods and bring them back to Galway. Well done....excellent choice, superb atmosphere, very helpful staff and great value. Very flexible for my family of vegans.

Great food, a mixture of Hong Kong and Malaysian style cooking. Nice interior and decor. Friendly staff and not unreasonably priced for the good sized portions. If in Galway again, it will be my first stop for dinner rather than the tourist type restaurants in the area.

Anyone who follows my social media pages and website knows Im an extremely fussy foodie. Its rare that I find a place that will make me go out me my way to eat there.This is one of those places. The menu is so varied with dishes from all over Asia. Many places try to do this and most fail miserably as they may be good at one style but are usually just ok or often terrible at the others.This is definitely not the case here, each dish is cooked and seasoned to perfection.All I will say is this is the place I bring my friends each and every time I am in Galway and twice I have travelled and stayed overnight in Galway just to eat here.If you are in Galway then you really should eat here, if not then I highly recommend you plan a trip to Galway soon. There are many fine places to eat all over the city especially the Asian Tea House.Please note...All of my reviews are totally my own opinion. I am often a harsh critic and rarely give out loads of praise. My experience from last night : 1/11/18 :Oh my god .... if anyone is looking for something so tasty and flavouring ... this is the place !!!!!From the moment i walked in through the door the staff couldnt be any nicer and welcoming .But one thing i would say is book before u go because the space is small but still really lovely .When me and my mum asked about the dishes the staff were so lovely and gave their recommendations .The food was outstanding as i ordered the poh pia rolls (veg spring rolls) and the juice of the veg was amazing and tasty .Then i ordered for main was a red curry, omg the flavours were so tasty and there was a hint of spice but not overpowering .... then my mum got a sweet and sour with steamed rice and noodles ... and it was honestly so yummy and the portions are a great size so if ur looking for something to fill u up this is the place . We were going to get cocktails but we decided not to because we were looking for a tasty meal but the cocktails on the other tables looked gorgeous .All in all , i really enjoyed my food and service here and i would definitley be coming back here again and would highly reccomend this fabulous restaurant 👍
