Thus stadium is own by NTPC. Primarily used for cricket. Main pitch is of turf type, with 2 nos of practice turf pitch. All types of cricket related facilities are available here. Main grandstand makes it a unique stadium in this region.

Well maintained cricket pitch which has national standard, atleast Ranji matches can be played here. The area also has running track around the stadium. Has foot ball goal posts, so that it can be used for a variety of sports events. NTPC organises many events such as INTER REGIONAL SPORTS MEET, power cup with in power organizations , and also friendly PSU Cup and also SPCB agencies to name a few. The stadium has gym open gym and also indoor gym facilities like the new clubs and open ground gyms available in most modern clubs
