Best railway station of India. 2 platforms. The overall quality needs to be improved, especially in waiting rooms and the type of food available. WiFi is available. Escalators have also been installed but a bit more modernized look and greater emphasis on cleaning would be appreciated.and very nice station.. Love it

Nice station. If u r coming from Numaligarh refinery then please come to this station for the trains towards Guwahati. Outside the station small restaurants are available with some good (somewhat adjustable ) are available. A small wine shop is also there near the station . Lot of share autos are available from Golaghat...

Overall an average station, surely need works to be done for its improvement. One of which is the restroom, there are tobacco spits all over the restroom and almost in every corner of the station, the authority must make the people aware of that and take some legal action towards those deeds, and even we people must try to avoid that as it puts a bad impression on us and the place. Next the platform 2 needs to be extended as half of the Platform is open, there is no shed for people to rest on platform 2. Hope my review was useful 😊

Good facilities for food and clean water, toilets are clean but environment around the station is not so clean. 24 hrs safety by railway police department. Riksha or taxis services are available during daytime and evening, at night theres less chances for taxis.

It has 2 platforms nd is 102meters above the sea level.. Station code is FKGIt is Operated by the Northeast Frontier Railway, nd being operated under the Tinsukia Railway Division.. There are two lines - the Lumding-Dibrugard nd the Furkating-Mariani..The station is not that small also, regular trains for all over India operates through this station.. Traveling is good from here.. The platforms are clean, nd also the waiting areas.. Tea nd Snack stalls are also available in the platforms along with clean toilet nd bathroom.. The staff nd security are also very helpful towards the passengers..Reaching the station is not that difficult, as local cabs, tempos, rikshawala are available here, but the availability decreases as the day passes by.. For night time passengers there will be some difficulty to get a cab or rikshawala there.. At the surrounding, u will find many small shops nd hotels, so fooding is not an issue there.. And also not a crowded place..Cleanliness should have to maintained well..RB....

Furkating is the main railway junction in the Golaghat district in the state of Assam in India.The 1,000 mm wide meter gaugerailway track earlier laid by Assam Bengal Railway from Chittagong to Lumding was extended to Tinsukia on the Dibru-Sadiya line in 1903.The Mariani-Furkating line was operated by Jorhat-Provincial Railway.The project for the conversion of the Lumding-Dibrugarh section from metre gauge to 1,676 mm (5 ft 6 in) wide broad gauge was completed by the end of 1997.
