Great friendly service terrible food.I thought Indian food like this didn’t exist anymore in the UK. Pre cooked meat in fluorescent red sauce. Devoid of any flavour or integrity. So very disappointing.

Party of ten. Had the all you can eat buffet for £8.95 a head, drinks prices average for the area. One word of warning a lot of food and drinking establishments seem to close at 10pm on weekdays in the middle of August in Frome !!

Brilliant place, good food, good atmosphere, great location. An excellent place to spend a whole evening, multiple rooms for eating and drinking in fine surroundings

My Husband and I have just had our first (Takeaway) Meal from there.. And it wont be our last!!!... Absolutely Beautiful Food!The new Owner Gabriel could not have been more accommodating to my needs as a vegetarian.. I always want a dish that technically doesnt exist..But I was able to order with ease! I cant wait to order again.!!

Good food and friendly staff!

Great curry and friendly service. Items on the menu offer good variety, from old stalwarts to new (for me) flavours. Fish curries have been very good, and the staff are able to lend a hand when choosing sides for your meal.

You cant go wrong with the 5 course banquet menu for £15 (Wed & Thursday). It includes the mandatory poppadoms with sides, any starter, main and side with bread or naan - plenty of food and a great selection of dishes when dining out with two or more. The service was amazing despite the fact our waiter was running his socks off serving an entire restaurant alone. Would go back just for his friendly smile ✌️

The very best take away I’ve ever had. Finished every last bit of my chicken jalfrezi and my wife ate every bit of her vegetable biryani. Utterly delicious and full of wonderful flavours. Not dry. Moist and succulent. Great value too. Lovely friendly staff too. Will Deffo eat there again or order another takeaway. Thanks.

Have you ever wanted to have chicken for dinner, and dessert? At the same time? Well now you can. At first, we were a bit confused by Jhalmuri’s creative meat milkshake, but after positive assurance from the staff that “yes, all the sugar and the cream” had been used, we embraced the absurdity of the Munch Bunch masala and devoured it all, slowly, reaching out for multi sensory food pairing nirvana in every bite. My only complaint is we did have to pick out one small piece of coriander leaf.

Visited with my son on evening of Saturday 1st June, was seated quickly by friendly and attentive waiting team and our food was fantastic.You can always rely on them for really nice food.Recommended

Superb food served beautifully. Good choice from some very interesting dishes. Staff also very welcoming and helpful. The chef will adjust dishes to suit. Lassi is the best I have had for a while too

Staff are the gem here and their chicken shashlik is legendary. Never seen such tiny button mushrooms but think pixies and the most delicious mushrooms youve ever tasted. House wine was cheap so I would suggest picking A bottle to enjoy with your meal. Next time we are in the area we will definitely be going back.

Always great service and food, we go on the Thursday where its a five course meal for £12.95. Make sure you dont eat much in the day as we always end up taking food home. Highly recommended.

Always polite and remember me from previous visits. Have eaten in and had take away. Both high standard food. Its located in a side road in Frome which you have to walk to from the pay and display carpark. Best to have 2 people picking up take away. One to hop out of car to collect while the driver temporarily parks near by.

I had a really good chicken JAL, with a good thick and spicy sauce. The rest of the table enjoyed everything they had.The staff where great, as one was unable to decide and has now been won over by their recommendations.Not the fastest of curries in the world but worth the wait. Very good Nann and potions size was spot on.

Disappointed. Food was bland and nothing special at all. Service was nice up until my food was taken without asking if Id finished it.

Website says open for takeaway orders but tried for over an hour to get through on the phone but only got a recorded message, not much use in lockdown! Called Jays - they answered straight away, took our order and delivered as promised. Not sure how a takeaway operates if they dont answer the phone?

This is by far the most horrific Indian (if you can call it that) restaurant I have ever been to. Went for a buffet and was greeted with a Diet Coke fresh out the warm bottle, by the time it got to me my single allocated ice cube had just about melted. The buffet was a slightly warm buffet of potato in a few watery sauces. The only nice part was the chocolate on the way out. When 2 people come to a buffet and leaving within 10 minutes you know there is something wrong. Don’t get me started on the carpet what a disgrace !!! Also you boast a 4 star food hygene rating shame the staff don’t qualify for a 1 star in personal hygene Avoid this place it needs shut down immediately !!!

Nice and friendly staff, clean ceramics with the name of the restaurant printed on them, and the way the napkins were folded was amazing- place was nice and clean as well- but the reason we went there was food, and both myself and my friend were quite disappointed with the food- we both had different curries, which both tasted exactly the same and were face melting hot, although we only ordered medium- medium/hot. vegetables were frozen, out of the bag, my onions were tough, and only half cooked, and the almond naan had no almonds, just lots of marzipan. Nobody asked us how our food was- which was probably a good thing- wont be going back.

When arriving in the restaurant we had to wait 5-10 minutes to be seated in a half empty restaurant. We then waited 1hr 30 mins for food to arrive which was tepid. No one asked during the meal if we wanted any more drinks or how the meal was. When we made a complaint to the manager, he offered a 10% discount and half an apology. Whilst complaining to the manager, an exceptionally rude member of staff came over and accused us of lying and was expceptionally confrontational. The poor girl who was waiting on us could not have been more apologetic and openly admitted that the waiter we had issues with, she had also had issues with. I do not pay for an average meal an expect to be verbally abused by staff members when making a formal complaint. Will never ever be going back to this place and would recommend others avoid it. This is the first review I have ever written for a restaurant and that is because I am so shocked. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!

Can be a bit hit and miss. Been a handful of times. Sometimes the food is great, sometimes its not the best.

Ordered takeaway from online menu. Quoted price almost £10 more. The staff told that their boss wouldn’t be happy to keep to the price they have advertised on their website and I have to pay new price despite what they ha be advertised. Price jump is very high. He asked me if I wanted to cancel my order as he was busy. Very unimpressed with customer service and illegality - update your website and stop upsetting customers! I ordered from jays kitchen really good food and same price as what I had expected to pay at Jhalmuri. Also Jays kitchen I was pleased to see there wasn’t any plastic used!!!

Good food but some of the Walters are really cocky

I went here last night (Friday), it was quite... Due to the opening of the Frome festival. The waiters are well attended, nice decor. The food here was spot on! I only write review if I have bad and crappy service and I can tell you this place is good.

Slop, like you might get in a school ... in the 70s ....during a really bad dream ... which you cant wake from. Seriously, its that bad. Owner suggested that this is what commercialism is though, so thats ok. Enjoy!!

Really excellent. The best indian meal we have had in a long time. Staff friendly, a tad slow, but they just got busy to be fair. We will be back here on a regular basis for sure.

Took 2+ hours for food. Accused me of conning them because our buzzer didnt go off when the delivery driver tried it instead of trying to figure out what went wrong. Tepid food, wrong order and to top it off short changed me by 3 quid. Never going back.

If youre looking for a decent Indian try here, it is a really nice place and staff are helpful, they also do a buffet every Monday which is rather well priced.

Terrible service, over 2 hours for main course. Apparently short staffed but still serving take away customers and taking drink orders with no explanation or apology until we start to query the delay.

Couldnt leave a lower star!!!phoned up to place a order for delivery and was told to call bk in 15mins as the restaurant was busy! U have now lost a customer!very poor service more staff needed comes to mind.
