Best Indian food in Melbourne. I’ve eaten my share of Indian and I swear by this place. We mainly order online and the service is excellent. If you are looking for an authentic Indian meal, do yourself a favour and get some Kasturi.

First time eating here for a few years - the food was so average! The palak paneer was completely tasteless - so they not taste their own food before selling / serving it? The butter chicken ok but pretty sugary. Such a shame - I wanted to love it!

This is our regular delivery place, the food here is excellent. They did mess up one of my orders and I did ring to complain, I later regretted it as it was just a simple mixups of naans and they are likely doing it tougher than most due to the lockdowns. Our order tonight was excellent, fast delivery, steaming hot food. I order through their individual website as its cheaper and I hope they get more money from it rather than being ripped off by the likes of uber eats and menulog.

The best restaurant in Frankston for sure. Have tried so many Indian cuisines, but I reckon this one is the best both for the quality and service. Found out that there is change in management but the quality and service is way better than previous times. Gonna try next time as well.

This is by far the worst Indian food I have ever had. The management is terrible. After making special requests for food to be made mild/spicy. They did not adjust to this. Service is not good. The butter chicken is full of sugar. Used to be good, but over the last few months, the standard has dropped drastically and the food is disgusting.Would not recommend! Definitely go elsewhere!

I have the funniest story, I bought naan and curry, got to pick it up, curry is the wrong one. I let her know and the lady doesn’t apologize, so I’m like whatever I’ll wait, I wait like 15 min and she gives me the new curry, so I said if your gonna throw the old one I’ll take it, she says I didn’t buy it so I can’t have it, so I was like whatever. Go home to eat it and it’s the old curry mixed with my intended curries ingredients which tastes even worse, I mean that’s the worse service known to man.

Kasturi used to be the best Indian in Frankston by a mile. Since the new owners took over 6 months ago there has been a steady decline in the quality & service. Kasturi is now like all the other Indian restaurants in the area, bang average!

Thanks for put me on hold for more than 7 minutes and not taking my order over the phone and showing your attitude over the phone and over the counter after my visit in your restaurant in person. Your managers attitude is not even deserved 1 star too. He is not willing to answer my question and showing me his attitude.

This used to be my favourite Indian Restaurant in Bayside, however tonight have waited almost 2 hours for a delivery!!!!!! Phoned 3 times, always another 20 mins. Perhaps, in future, let your loyal customers know of this delay, and they can work around that. Delivery literally just arrived, maybe warm-ish if that, have now sent back for full refund! Appalling! Literally Sorry Mam on phone. Thats all.

Highly recommend this place if you want to enjoy a really good chicken Biryani... a wide range of Indian delicacies to choose from, something for everyone. Really warm and welcoming staff who provide exceptional service.

Food quality was good but food taste and desert taste was one of the worst Indian food I ever had in Melbourne.Naan and pratha were the only thing we liked.Hopefully they will improve as it seems like hard working people running the placeSpice Club across the road is so much better.

Food was decent, but when ordering through UberEats they forgot to include the Mango Lassi that was purchased. Was told they would not organize to send the Lassi through and best they could do was either a note for an instore discount, or a refund if our card details were handed over.

This was our first time back to Kasturi in a few years, and yet again they did not dissapoint. The food and staff are exceptional, decent servings, wonderful flavours and friendly staff. Now that we are back living in the area we will be regulars once again!!

Tonight we ordered “Kasturi special chicken Karahi”. Let me assure you that There’s nothing special about this dish. Chunks of chicken tikka floating in separately cooked butter chicken gravy and topped with sultanas. Whole dish was a mess. Saltish chicken pieces floating around in thick and creamy buttery gravey. Despite our best we couldn’t finish 1 dish between three of us.Ambiance and service is good. However that is the only good thing about this place. They are targeting Australian customers only who has no idea as how does good Indian food tastes.If you are Indian/Pakistani then avoid it and be happy.

I orderd korma was way too salty and just a puddle of raw cream on the top. tasted like tumeric and salt. no flavour. the naan bread was so dry and tasted like a plain old roti. no flavour, runied our dinner night. dont recommend this place at all if you are after good indian food go somewhere else. just horrible!!!

This is our first time in this restaurant and I met with the owner of this restaurant but I was really disappointed with food specially Goat curry was so much salty and after that they charged us $21 for 2 jug of Coke ( it will cost $3 maximum in the market ) 😡😡and they charge $10.50 per bottle and top of that the counter girl said you have to pay 2% extra if you are paying by card and she charge me $3 top of that ...really bad experience never come back in this restaurant and I don’t recommendNever 😡never 😡never.😡

We ordered using Uber eats.Its wasnt a hard order. Just a regular staple food butter chicken and naan.Just want to say this was the worst food we ever had in our whole life.FYI Both me and my wife are sick with food poisoning after eating their rubbish. Great get away to Mornington got spoiled by them.

Just ordered through menu log and received my Rohan josh and butter chicken.There was barely any meat , mainly sauce!I called up for a resolution and was told they don’t want to resolve it and that the portions are the same portions they’ve always been. I remember distinctly reviving full containers of meat and sauce on my first order !Won’t be buying here again as this is the first time a restaurant has refused to make their customer happy! Absolutely disgusting

Hands down THE best Indian food in Frankston. Nice atmosphere reasonably priced and delicious. Ignore the few nay sayers...probably rival places stirring things up.. these guys are GREAT!

Ordered Chicken tikka masala, Hyderabadi chicken buriyani and 2 paratha bread. They forgot to add the paratha so i had to wait 10 minutes for it and it came out burnt (at $4 a piece you would expect better). The chicken tikka masala was full of capsicum which is not how the dish should be cooked and it is not on the menu (should be called capsicum chicken masala). Finally the buriyani was quite nice which I recommend.

Ordered over 20 meals for a corporate lunch. Order was perfect, not one mistake and rave reviews. The meals were tasty and well packaged so they were still hot with no leaks. Very good value. Recommended.

The GOAT of Indian takeaway and dine-in! Kashmiri Beef and Beef Vindaloo are so tasty, and the garlic naan is beautiful and is huge! The staff are always super welcoming too.

Great quality take away but sometimes we get put on for hold for 10 mins, when we hang up and call again the line is then busy for ages afterwards.

Amazing food! This is almost better than Shavan’s in Patterson Lakes, and that’s a high bar. We had the Hyderabadi and Kasturi Special Chicken, will try more dishes next time.

Dont go to this restaurant!!!!!We arrived at 6.30pm with a maximum of 15 diners in the restaurant. The staff hovered straight away and we asked for a few minutes to order.After 5 minutes we ordered an entree and main with rice bread and a salad and requested a couple of drinks which arrived promptly.The Restaurant started to fill but afrer waiting 30 minutes we questioned where our entree was as 3 tables who arrived after we were seated had received meals. Then a main meal arrived which we did not order. We then asked why our entrees had not arrived. After some constenation the waiter returned and said they were delivered to another table. After another 10 minutes our entrees arrived - adequate but nothing special. Our mains arrived about 10 minutes apart. After another 10 minutes we then asked for our salad which was forgot as well.The food was overall OK but nothing special. We will not return especially when the staff said see you again. What a joke !!!!

Food was excellent, top quality Indian fare.However, the restaurant was clearly understaffed and the waiting staff were slow to respond, even unresponsive at times. One waitress constantly got our order wrong and struggled to understand what we were ordering. Our mains took a long time to arrive, and we watched another table of 4 get served, finish up, pay and leave before our mains were anywhere near being served. At one point one waitress handed me a plate rather than placing it in front of me! Its a great pity that some great food was ruined by very poor service.

Got delivery. Rice and naan were good. One curry was bland though I asked for spicy, and one was very bitter as the eggplant was undercooked. Wasnt given option for payment over phone and delivery driver didnt carry change. Was not the worst, but will stick to our other place as it didnt hit the mark.

Ordered via menulog. Very expensive for an average meal. Lamb vindaloo, lamb very dry. Most certainly the days before. The chicken in the butter chicken was even worse... It used to be tandoori chicken. The flavours clash so badly with the butter chicken. Without doubt, the worst Indian meal I have ever experienced. Dont believe me... come and try the left overs! If you do not pick up your act, I assure you, you will go bust!

My family has been ordering Kasturi once a fortnight for 18 years. It was originally the go-to for the best curry in the area but as of late the quality has dropped. It must be a new chef with new recipes because the meals have changed and are unbearable.The butter chicken was shocking, cheese naans are no longer good. Even when asked to not put onions or potato in a meal, the meal is covered with them.Really poor effort, I think well swap to somewhere else.

I love this Indian restaurant.. Authentic, delicious fresh food. The same every time. Efficient, friendly staff. I do not live in Frankston but more than happy to pay the extra to be delivered to me on the peninsula

Dont waste your time. Ordered delivery, was over an hour late with absolutely no apologies whatsoever. Part of the order was missing and the driver stood there not knowing what to do... Food was cold. So disappointed.

We have recently moved into the local area and were on the hunt for some delicious Saturday night takeaway. A family member suggested Kasturi to us and we loved it! Great takeaway and exceptional customer service (the wait staff opened the door to say goodbye - very nice gesture considering I was only in the restaurant for 2 mins). Will definitely be returning!

The BEST Indian food Ive EVER had. It was so good, I didnt know it could be that good.Add to that, it was only $62 for two entrées and two mains for two people.Unbelievably good. Ill be going back again and again.

The curries are nice enough but the set menu is not very good value in my opinion. We paid just under $80 for 2 and only got small portions no where near the size of full portions. 1 naan between 2 people and starters were small portions. Yes you get a coffee and desert too but I recommend going for the full size dishes off the menu.

Best Indian around, used to live in walking distance but now I drive from elwood. Always friendly, great service and excellent value. Highly recommend!!!

I love eating at Kasturi. Its got great butter chicken, and the service is really lovely. Kasturi *can* be really busy though, so make sure you book ahead!

Very bland food. No spice or flavour. Paneer tasted like cheese in pumpkin soup. Chicken korma was meh at best. Definitely overpriced for the food we got. And had to wait ages at the place to pick up the food because the only guy there was chatting on the phone. Overall would NOT recommend.

Have been here quite a few times now. I almost always order the Lamb Vindaloo and it is a seriously great dish. The staff are really friendly too. It is also not too busy.

Food overall is good, however, the mixed lettuce in the little side salad that came with my meal hadnt been washed first and was FULL of dirt. Wash your lettuce guys, even if the package says pre washed, WASH IT. The experience of having a mouthful of dirt ruined my meal :(
