Not safe for women. No network coverage. In case of any emergency, you have to travel 10km to reach the main market. Not recommended to travel after sunset.Guest house manager has inappropriate behaviour towards guest. He was very rude with my family.Though location is good but due to the staff behaviour i will never going to book this again in future.

This is probably the most beautiful place to stay in Pahalgam, if youre looking for breathtaking views all around you. With an enchanting garden right outside, the river flowing and surrounded by mountains all around, it is a great escape. To top it all, the staff is absolutely amazing! Mr. Javed is the friendliest, most helpful person one can come across. He made our stay reach heights because of his enthusiasm and efforts. All the staff members are always smiling, ready-to-help and courteous. Absolutely loved the experience here!

The hotel was amazing... The view the facilities everythng was great...n i being such a fussy person... who has problms with vibes and everything...really got a positive vibe frm the hotel...the rooms & bathrooms wer neat and clean ...they had bedwarmers&heaters in the room...the food was delicious n home cooked....we wer really craving fr home cooked meal n we got great veg food here! The staff Basheer bhai was a very welcoming n helpful person... He even let me cook maggi in the kitchn by myslf... He hlped us a lot... served us really good... View of the Lidder river in front of the guest house and food were the only plus points. We have paid for the room, its too overpriced for the facilities we got. Bathroom was disgusting( Iam talking about the firstfloor room facing the river. Dont know about other rooms). It was similar to railway toilets. Hot water was not available at night time. Temperature was below 8°c and without proper heating system it is difficult to enjoy the stay. (room heater was not working properly)Room was not cleaned. Bath towel of another guest (wet cloth) was lying on the bed. And I stongly doubt they replace the blankets and bedsheets before a new guest comes to stay! Please note: there is no network in this area and no wifi available.

Hi, I recently checked-in for 2 days in this beautiful and peaceful hotel. Cosey little rooms, breathtaking view, and homely food. what else do you need away from home tired with all the travel right? what made it better and memorable was the people who made sure we have been taken care of no matter what whether its hot water, food, or even vehicle. Javed ji the manager super friendly, helpful and active, he made everything so easy. The cook ( i am so sorry i cant remember the name) but from mixed vegetable to dahi mutton mamamia and not to forget the ultimate storyteller baseer ji( i hope Im naming him right) who kept us entertaining all the time and all the other staff, So without any further thinking JUST BOOK IT and have a lifetime of experience.

OH MY GOD. the stay was awesome like in heaven. small cottage in front of river. every time you will hear the river noise which is so natural and so beautiful. behind the cottage big mountain with greenery and in front of the big mountain with ice. between them the small beautiful cottage. The guest house is small but have advance amenities like room heater, light switches, electric blanket, bathroom etc. we were two couples only stayed for one night. one room was on upper floor with nice view and another room was on ground floor which had good view also. we hired taxi from srinagar for four nights, the guest house is in aru valley. if you hired a taxi and have booking for this guest house, your taxi can reach here without any problem. if you not hired any taxi and reached pahalgam with your own vehicle or by other transportation (not fully sure) then you have to take another vehicle to reach here. the manager or owner and other members were attentive and helpful. the food was also awesome. they cooked very nice food. All day was rainy. but we were there only to enjoy the nature. it was awesome.

River Front Aru is a real weekend freak out place.

Awesome location. Warm treatment and comfortable stay. the moment you will reach this place you will feel lost in nature. It is the best experience I ever had. Dont expect luxury, just enjoy the feel of the mountains, the river, the trees and you will have great memories to cherish forever. Peaceful and away from the city rush it is one cottage in a range of 2-3 km and no other accommodation nearby. I just fall short of words to write good about this place. The view is not to be described but to be seen and enjoyed. You will not regret your stay here.

I stayed there with my better half for honeymoon and it was an awesome experience. The guys who manage this place are very courteous. The best thing of this place is the exotic location of the guest house. Javed bhai is the guy to go for everything you need at this place. They arrange breakfast and lunch right on the banks of that running water stream you see in pictures, which is a memorable experienceAlthough this is a small place to live during a vacation with family I would like to give them an extra brownie point for perfect veg food cooked by the chef :) my wife and I am vegetarian and hence it was very important for us to get something nice to eat during our stay and it was fulfilled by the Chef at River Front. Food is really delicious here :)

The location is absolutely majestic. The people are very warm and welcoming. The food is great. I feel, just like Aru Valley and Betaab valley, riverfront should also be a tourist point, the location is that good. On our way to Riverfront from Jammu, we got delayed by 3 hours due to heavy traffic, however the manager of the hotel, Mr. Javed, was very caring. He waited along with his entire staff till midnight to ensure we are comfortable, settled and well fed with awesome hot food. Stay at the riverfront was the highlight of our entire 8 day trip.

Location is very far and its very cold. But when you get up in the morning and come out of the hotel, the view will hold you still for minutes. Its amazing. I dont know how far families and couples will like it but we loved it. Its a small motel. Food is fine. The staff is very cordial and helpful. They are the best. You definitely need your taxi to commute. They did provide heaters and bed warmers. Bit expensive for the kind of stay but I still recommend it. Bathrooms are clean. Its a different experience. For people who love to experiment and explore, go for it. 4 stars mainly for the service.

This place is 8 kms from main market of Pahalgam. it is a hidden gem for those who seek peace and want to be away from crowd. This guest house is at a beautiful location near river. The manager, Jawed Bhai and his associates make one feel at home. One can sit with them and chat for hours to know about Kashmir. They also provide safe trekking services. It is a heaven.

Location of the hotel is great. hospitality is good. Riverfront owner makes good efforts to make your stay comfortable. Riverfront has basic room structure with good amenities and facilities. Room has King size bed, heating bed, room heater. They also arrange bonefire in evening. hotel is just 2 km from Aru. So you can go to Aru by walk. Food was good.

The BEST place to stay at Pehalgam, 10 Km away from pehalgam on the way to Aru Valley. But it gives you best experience. Food is so good and delicious. Staff were soo humble, helpful. The river view in front of the hotel gives one of the best nature experience. A table is arranged just adjacent to the river for sitting. Camp fire in the nights. Everything can not be explained in words best feeling ever. If you are planning a tour to Kashmir, then stay at least a day in this hotel.

The hotel despite being located at a remote corner of the valley, the hotel staff was very hospitable towards serving you well. The hotel is small yet well equipped to facilitate you. They made sure that we are comfortable with everything in the room, they also got us the river facing room on our request minus any tantrums/extra charges.We had to leave early to reach Sonmarg and the staff made sure that we get our breakfast on time. The Manager, Chef and the little guy (Tauseef)....thank you. It was the best part of our trip.

Superb location, courteous staff, peaceful stayWe stayed in River Front Guest house for a night. Located in Aru Valley in Pahalagam, this area is 12 km from the main bazaar. The Lidder river flows absolutely in front of the guest house. There are 8 rooms, all providing a different view of the landscape. During our stay, the power supply was through their generators and hence phone networks, internet was not working, which meant we stayed in the garden and soaked in the sheer beauty of the location. We had chosen a room on the 1st floor and the window opened into the riverside. The rooms were well stocked and had all heaters, television & thermos working. A must visit for those who want to have a peaceful stay in the lap of nature and want to cut out the chaos from their lives for a day.

We booked the hotel after reading online reviews, and we are glad we took the decision to stay there!To start with, the guest house is situated at one of the most beautiful location one can actually stay in. It is located in Aru valley at almost the bank of River Lidder. The guest house is surrounded by beautiful snow covered mountains, long pine trees, and soothingly flowing river. Its one of the very few resorts in entire Pahalgam where you can actually step into the river. The surroundings of the resort are so beautiful that one can easily stay in the guest house without going anywhere else for a couple of days. The place is so relaxing and beautiful, we regret to have stayed there for one day only!The location is also great.. A little far from main market in serene environment, and very close to the major attraction of Pahalgam, Aru valley. Next the food.. Both the dinner and breakfast at the place was great. It was good in taste as well as quality. The dinner table is right in the garden near bon-fire place, but the people there were courteous enough to serve us in our room.. Most importantly, we had the privilege to have breakfast at the river, and the experience cannot be simply described in words.. We couldn’t have asked for more!The best part of the resort are the people.. The manager at resort Javed Bhai is one of the best people we have met in our entire life. He is a very kind-hearted person, helpful, and takes extra steps to keep the guests at ease and comfort. He was very kind to take us to the main Aru valley spot, and also helped us with many more things including getting & dealing with pony ride people, identifying pure saffron that we bought on our way to Pahalgam. We also saw him along with the owner helping the fellow guests to go to hospital when their son was not well at 2 am. The other staff of the guest house was also very courteous and helpful. We will surely recommend people to stay here. We will definitely like to visit the place next time, and stay here for longer than this time!

Located in front of the lidder river at the picturesque aru valley, the view from the hotel is awe inspiring. The hotel itself may not stand out in terms of room/service quality, but these are very well compensated by the view it offers. Also notable is the fact that ,the rooms though small have all amenities including a room heater, bed heater, TV , and a basic bathroom. The room service was ordinary , but overall good value for money...

The location of the hotel is very far from the main place, and there is no other hotel beside this hotel. Though the people over there are very helpful and friendly i will not recommend this hotel for single families, it will be good for office parties and bachelors. But the view from the hotel is toooooooo good,we cant see that kind of scenary anywhere. Didnt like the food. But amenities and service is good. One more negative thing is no hot water,they will say we give in the morning but for that cold temperatures anyone would love to use hot water not warm water. My suggestion is to install water heaters.

The main attraction of this hotel is its location. The breathtaking view in front of the hotel makes you feel in a wonderland & gives you a feeling of real vacation. The food was tasty. Good Service. The negatives include old and untidy rooms with dirty towels and blankets. However, as I mentioned, the breathtaking view made me forget all the negatives!

This is the best located hotel in Pahalgam and perhaps the only hotel where you are allowed to take your own taxi upto the hotel. Wonderful location, where you can just relax and unwind. As Vodafone and Reliance network were not working, we really enjoyed our stay.

LOCATION - Its like heaven.Surrounded by mountains from all the sides & Riverfront is located bang on the river lidder which flows in between these mountains.SERVICES - Three cheers for Mr.Javed & his staff.The temperature was around 2° chilling but the rooms extremely warm.Thanks to room heaters & electric blankets.You name it & u have it all.Hot water is made avaible when u need it.Generator back-up is there.Mr.Javed drove me in his personal vehicle cause I had to purchase some things.It is absolutely isolated but completely safe for everyone.Bornfire is complimentary too.There is a place to sit bang on the river where u can have ur snacks.Its stunning.FOOD - The quality,taste & quantity,everything was very good.Your pahalgam trip wouldnt b complete if u dont stay at least for one night over here.

I stayed at River front guest house in april-2017 with my family including my small kid it was overall great experience Excellent place property is located in lap of the nature and just beside the lidder stream near aru valley. food and service also best . thanks only problem was heavy snow fall due to bad whether first day we enjoyed a lot as snow fall view was awesome from the hotel rooms. due to heavy snow fall road was blocked but manager and staff trying their best for get the roads clear from govt. so road was cleared by 9.00pm. after all the efforts taking by River front staff we able to move out from there by 9.00 pm. I am very thankful to manager for their kind support without charging any extra amount. will surely visit again soon. River front was the rocking experience in my whole trip

We had booked 2 rooms for our stay on 17 April. One of the room directly faced the waterfall in the front of the guest house and it was the most one could ask for. The rooms were equipped with the latest facilities and the staff was prompt for our requests.Youll get electric blankets in case you get cold. The place feels a little secluded but is completely safe as it is frequented by many travellers.The food is costly but the ambience of nature compensates for it.We had some issues with the water leakage which was promptly fixed, so giving overall 4 stars. Otherwise it calls for 5 stars definitely.I would definitely recommend this place and would love to stay here again on my next visit.

Goibibo helped us by offering great discounts so that we tasted the slice of enchanting hotels in Kashmir. We knew before booking this hotel That this hotel is not just another hotel on the block. This hotel is not for those who want to stay in safe confines. It is certainly for those who love nature in all its grandeur. A full bodied river flowing just by the side of your room window, skyscraping pine trees, hills, meadows, streams, snow capped mountains are all there for u to enjoy and cherish at RIVER FRONT GUEST HOUSE. imagine all these JUST IN FRONT OF THE HOTEL. You will be mesmerized at the very sight of panoramic view from this hotel. The hotel isTucked away in the midst of ARU valley,Some 12 kms from pahalgam , Travel along the meandering river LIDDER and snow clad mountain range to reach this retreat. Expect a warm welcome by extremely courteous staff there with equally warm cup of KAHWA (a refreshing kashmiri tea ). We checked in late in the evening. The hotel itself is not very modern but a modest one. U can have everything like a kingsize bed with electric blankets, A room warmer , intercom and a clean wash room. Don’t feel sad about the flooring in the wash room. Just enjoy the change in the set up. Do try to get rooms on the first floor to get a breathtaking view of the aru valley. I have to mention here that there are no mobile networks there except BSNL . Pre paid cards don’t work in Kashmir hence take along a post paid SIM. Hotel staff is generous to lend their phone to you for free to talk to your loved ones within indiaWe ordered for the dinner; dum aloo ( again a kashmiri speciality made with homegrown spices, onion and chillies) rotis and rice (they serve only basmathi superfine rice in Kashmir).the food is delectable and sumptuous.Next morning we enjoyed walking along the river before treating ourselves with aloo parathas and poha. After visiting baisaran and other places we rushed back to the hotel to be in our room to enjoy the beauty of nature. We have taken innumerable photographs in this place.I have to make a special mention of the staff, Mr.bashir gami, Mr mustaq ahmed and Mr tasir ahmed, so friendly that you will definitely feel bad leaving them behind. This is not a Hotel rather this is a sort of guest house situated in the Aru valley which is approx. 10 km from pahalgam and mind it this is at quite a ****area so if at all you decide to take this guest house try to reach before sunset. We reached this hotel at 8 PM and till we reach we were just venturing into darkness with no connectivity (only bsnl works). After reaching we found that this is quite a poorly maintained property with dirty blankets, poor upkeep of rooms, leaking taps, wet toilet floor and bad food. I asked staff why they have not made the rooms complete before our arrival though we checked in 8 hrs late they said that we thought that you will not come ( We had made 100â„… advance payment so I am not sure how this feeling has come) However the staffs tried to cover up these faults with their prompt service but of no avail because quality was too bad. Any ways when we woke up next morning the view was awesome which somehow compensated the pain which we gone through in night. I do not recommend if you are going with family.

Had booked a room for one night in the last week of march. But due to unexpected snowfall, was rendered inaccessible due to risk of avalanches. Have to mention Mr Javeds hospitality here. He told us well in advance the situation and arranged alternate accommodation in Pahalgam. Took care of the entire journey from SNR airport pickup, to SNR drop the next day. Very hospitable person. He took us from Pahalgam hotel to Riverfront just to show his facility and how much was there. Scenic location!! right by the river!! surrounded by tall mountains!! Spent some time in the caretakers house where we had nun-chai and naan. Will definitely stay there the next time. Do not expect large rooms and spacious bathrooms - it is fit for purpose; whats worth is the time and ambience outside the building!!
