EDIT: it’s interesting that once we told them we would no longer do business with them, and we’re leaving an online review, they suddenly had time to respond within 3 hours and suddenly offered a refund. OUR REVIEW STILL STANDS.We were customers for a LONG time. Previously, we never had an issue. On 6/4/21, we got PSP’s brand of dry cat food. Upon pouring it out into our larger cat food container, a piece of wood fell out of the bag. We went to the website listed on the bag on 6/5/21, and used the “contact us” feature, but weren’t able to submit the pictures. On 6/10/21, they asked for the pictures, which we sent the same day. They finally responded on *7/1/21* (nearly a month after the problem began) asking us to physically bring the wood into the store so they could send it to the manufacturer. At no time did they offer as much as a coupon or replacement of bag of kibble. Wood should NOT be in their food. Their customer service is less than savory. For any customer, but *especially* customers who have been using them for so many years. We have since started using tractor supply in WF instead.

Staffs are super friendly. I talked to Ian and Nick about getting the beginner fish suggestions. They were both very knowledgeable and friendly. I will definitely go back to get more supplies.

My poor dog had lymes disease and was in too much pain to be groomed. After 3 groomers canceled on me I was so desperate I brought my dog here. The groomer refused to groom my dog said she would have to be sedated and sent to the vet to be shaved.. I have never encountered a professional groomer unable to manage a dog. I brought my poor baby home and used coconut oil to loosen the mats and was able to carefully remove the mats without shaving her bald and WITHOUT PAIN. My dog was falling asleep during this 3 hr process of carefully and gently working through the matted hair. Would not recommend , suggest going to a grooming salon not a pet store.

I got my pet snake named Chiquita at this place and she is now over 3 years old and super cute, I am also looking to get a Ferret at this store.I also get my heat lamps and bedding from this place and they work good.I really recommend this pet supplies plus for any one getting a reptile❤️🐍

This store is amazing. Staff and mangers are great. Im sorry but I forgot their names. The managers name starts with an N. She was helpful and very pleasant. Smiled the entire time and knew everything about what she was selling. The cashiers were awesome and very nice. Id highly suggest this store to anyone looking for pet supplies or small pets. While I was there they had many fish and the tanks were spotless. They had many frogs, snakes, and lizards. Again tanks were spotless. They also had birds, hamsters, ferrets, and Guinea pigs. Amazing store. I have already sent friends and family and they always have had amazing experiences.

I love this store. The store manager Nicole is helpful and very well informed on the products she is selling and she knows where everything in the store is located. The cashiers and other staff are amazing as well. They are always helpful and friendly. There has never been a time where I was not greeted with a smile and a helpful attitude. The staff always ask if they can help. They know all about their products and have helped to load heavy items without being asked. I go in to pet supplies plus in Fishkill quite often and I have to say that that is the most beautiful pet store I have ever been in ,it is very well organized and very clean , very easy to find what you are looking for..The staff is very friendly and helpful always a smile on there faces and I had the pleasure of meeting the manager and her assistant thay are very lovely peopleI would like to say thank you to all the staff for always be the most caring and helpful staff

Pet Supplies in Fishkill no longer takes dollar for dollar price matches from chewy. They now charge you for the shipping cost. Also - under new management, Jennifer ASTL was very rude - not only to me but to a vendor that was there helping with the store’s rugs. Customer service is tough but kindness is not.

The groomers are great! Every month I bring my squirmy chihuahua here for nail clipping and we are in and out in less than 10 minutes. Best $10 ever spent. I get all my pet supplies here as well and have never had an issue.

The shelves are kind bare and they never have pets in stock to buy

This place is good for your quick run to get pet food and cat litter. If youre looking for something specific like an automatic water cleaner for a fish tank or sand for a reptile cage you might want to reconsider. They have a good amount of normal pet goods but anything really specific, call ahead.

Fish died a day after we got it. All my other fish are fine. Dead fish in the store tank too...

This was the first and last time I will ever go to this pet store the manger was rude and didn’t know what he was doing. I asked for help from him on multiple occasions and he said he would once he finished what he was doing ( talking to a coworker for almost a half hour) I finally had enough and left without getting what I needed, before I left I did get the mangers name Gavin. To upper management you need to find some better employees.

Store is a wreck today, poop in aisle 1 and pee all over aisle 2. Was going to get my dogs nails trimmed but the groomers don’t wear masks so I don’t want to be anywhere near that side of the store!!

Some employees are amazing! Big thanks to the young male who helped me grab my dog food! Others are not in any way. Not sure who the managers are (I read a Nicole in the past reviews?) but Nicole please address the problems of lazy and rude workers. Sadly I won’t be shopping here anymore, But if anybody doesn’t care about that then this store isn’t bad for items and has a good variety!

If you have the option, go to the one in New Windsor. In my opinion, due to past experiences, they are more reliable and knowledgeable there. Went to this fishkill location for a water test and it was done improperly. Which is misleading and could have been a very harmful situation for the aquarium inhabitants 👎 Still 100× better than petsmart👍

Brought my lab mix Mia to the groomer today for the first time. She is nervous in general so it was a challenge but Tori was wonderful ! Patient and understanding took her time with Mia and did her best to make Mia comfortable.I will be telling all my friends about Tori and everyone else on staff! Everyone is warm and welcoming to both myself and Mia every time we stop in for anything.The manager of this store really has done a wonderful job at hiring the best people I’ve seen in one store! They did a great job with my dog. It was his first time there and they were happy to see him (he was very excited to see them as well). They were pretty spot on with their estimate of how long it would take. He came home very clean and very happy. Strongly recommend and Ill be using them again!

I have shopped here a few times, And after my last couple of visits I won’t be anymore. (As well as my friends) The current management team is not helpful AT ALL!!! (Minus a young man and woman, Forgot their names, But I Believe it was Danny and Brianna, I think that’s what their name tags said? Those two helped me tremendously on each visit) The only way I knew they where managers was upon asking a young male associate who told me.The older man who was a manager hid in the room up front and the older woman did too. I was left up front with the cashier running back to ring me out with them chatting in the small room up front...The customer service is sadly lacking on their end...I would suggest better training or addressing the problem with certain employees/Managers...There are plenty of other pet stores I can go too other than this one..Sorry to the employees that have helped me and given me a good experience, But the laziness and bad customer service has drawn me away...

The younger people to be as specific as possible are great and really happy all the time great staff being hired (the younger staff) but the older staff more thn a couple times have given the impression that they dont enjoy being there.

Always friendly and knowledgeable with options for my dogs diet, as he is allergic to just about everything which makes it very hard to find brands to accommodate him. Always pointed in the right direction and steered away from what food not to purchase, even when it is the most expensive! They care about your pet and not their wallets, which is hard to find nowadays!

It should be called Cat and Dog supplies.. Dont go there for any other pet.

I keep meaning to write a review for this place! They are so wonderful. They are knowledgeable and so friendly. Every single time. There is one girl who is THE sweetest. (forgive me, I don’t know her name, all I know is she has a dog like Toto from wizard of oz). Blonde. Looks like Jessica Simpson. (I swear. She really does!) Anyway, she is always so super sweet and helpful. I’ve never seen her in a bad mood. She’s a customer service rock star.

The staff is friendly but dont know so much about knowledgable, sometimes they are just wrong about the advice they give. Also, if they are running a sale you have to get there early because they run out of stock quickly and have no idea when those items will be back in stock.

Dog section is 3X size of cat section but still a decent selection of supplies and food at different price points. They had someone with kittens for adoption from Stray Help, and I was able to find a product Ive been looking for in other stores to no avail.

This store is such a pleasure to deal with. Should you need help. No Problem they are right there to help you find what you’re looking for. I have a special needs Dog, she has Diabetes🙁 The staff went through the dog food with me and read all ingredients for each bag we picked to make sure it was a food good for my Destiny. They spent a lot of time with me and were very very helpful even taught me things I did not know. For instance a diabetic dog should not eat Carrots which is good for most dogs but cannot be in the ingredients for Pets with diabetes. Princes can be unfavorable, but the staff and selection make up for that. I did just find out however, they will price match. This should appeal to savvy shoppers.

Staff is awesome! Always willing to help! I have bad shoulder and knee and they bring my heavy bags of dog food to car all the time! However they recommend a vet in Poughkeepsie who is offers free first visit. I went and it cost me $600! They were absolutely awful vet! My experience was they only wanted to talk money and not my dog! They should remove those promo cards!

The staff are always very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. On a previous trip to the store, my puppy had destroyed a sturdy toy the staff assisted me in selecting for him. They took it back without any problems and replaced it. Its now his favorite toy! The only reason I didnt give them a 5th star was due to boxes on the floor in the aisles, a pet peeve of mine. I dont mind boxes on stools or chairs, etc. but not on the floor...this is a rare occurrence for them, by the way. 🙂..

Staff is friendly. Place looks nice and prices arent bad. Only thing is I wouldnt get fish here. The tanks had a lot of dead fish and a lot of fish were sick. They were covered in white spots. Other than the fish they have a nice selection and I would come back. Just that day I was looking to buy fish so I had to go somewhere else.
