The food was good but it wasn’t mind blowing… wasn’t quite up to par with the many other French restaurants I have tried… but it was still good food overallMain downside was the lamb chop and sausage I ordered… sausage was wonderful but the chop was so tough you couldn’t cut through it… the fresh bread was also very overcooked so it was like eating pure crustBut the desserts are wonderful, very deliciousDrink sizes are pretty small for the priceOverall the staff was nice, great desserts but the entrees lacked that real authentic French flavor and quality I was looking for… for the price I was expecting at least a high quality meat… but it’s still a nice spot to go for a nicer dinner
Food was great. I am always a fan of their pizza or burgers. I was especially happy with that delicious Panna cotta with a berry cabernet sorbet. We had a French 75 and it was a delicious cocktail, great for a nice summer evening. Food came out prompt and hot. Only thing was that they were out of several lot of entrees, but we also have to be patient with the fact the pandemic has made the supply chain harder and its more difficult for restaurants to predict the crowds. Im sure a lot of places are dead when they think they can be busy and vise versa. Pandemia us some weird times. I hope people are being patient as restuarants are adapting to uncertain business trends.
Possibly the best chinook I have ever had. Perfectly paired, cooked and sauced. Had a nice Chardonnay with it and wowza, made my whole night. Server was a little inconsistent but he was very pleasant when he did come by. Cozy and romantic atmosphere, had to make a reservation WELL ahead of time, but totally worth it.
Tried out Marché while visiting friends in Eugene and I think I found my new favorite restaurant! Everything from the food and the drinks to the atmosphere was perfect. Our server Kristyn was really great and gave us a lot of suggestions for things to do in town. Would definitely go back again!
Marché was delicious! Parking was tricky but we got lucky and found a spot right in front. We had a fairly early dinner reservation as all the other time slots were unavailable. I have strict dietary restriction and they were very accommodating and helpful. The cocktails are delicious and the food even more so. Expensive but definitely worth every penny! Was perfect for a much needed date night.
The food here is incredible. One of my favorite things I had was the mushroom sandwich. I did it without the aoli and it was incredible. Best I’ve ever had. Pizza was good. Everything was good. Very impressed!
Marché is a magnificent dining experience. It is a calm and beautiful restaurant, with food to match. It was recommended to me by a long-term resident of the area, and it did not disappoint. The mussels are divine, and the lamb duo was perfectly plated with the best pesto Ive ever enjoyed. My wife enjoyed the wine selection and the French 75 cocktail - the cherry soaked in liqueur for 10 years is worth the price of the drink itself. We capped it off with some light dessert, and walked away well-fed, relaxed, and determined to return soon.
Food and service were top notch, but not overbearing. The place to take someone you want to impress or to show you care about them. I took my daughter.
Wonderful food, great service. Delightful
The food and service absolutely AMAZING! The BEST steak I have had in a very long time cooked perfectly and absolutely delightful. All of the staff incredibly helpful, accommodating and just overall atmosphere was fantastic.
Highly recommend! The nettle crepes with morels was absolutely divine - creamy but not overly rich, balanced with lemon zest and spring vegetables. The ling cod was perfectly cooked. The hamburger is always delicious but dont pass up the seasonal dishes.
Overall underwhelming! We tried: Gigi cocktail (refreshing), zucchini side (these were served cold- on purpose- and it just did not work. The temperature, flavor, and texture all combined to be unpleasant), the pork chop & polenta (pretty flavorful but served lukewarm), and the pesto pizza (average crust and odd bitter aftertaste).
Between all the fine dining options in Eugene, Marches food blows the rest out of the water for me, always consistently good, new things to try, and the only spot in town Ive liked takeaway from so much I went out of my way to make reservations and enjoy an evening in their restaurant, which was very special!
Had a good experience. Not a great one, and note the prices. Could and perhaps should have been better for the price, if one expects the prices to reflect the excellence of the food. Good mussels in a nice herbed white wine sauce with bits of bacon. Good steak, potatoes and carrots dish, though the meat was rarer than requested. Good chocolate cake with white chocolate, cherries, sorbet dessert if you mixed the parts to balance well. Nice wine. An American-ish French restaurant. Good service and comfortable atmosphere. Again, good, though we hoped for more excellence for the prices.
Eating here was such a wonderful dining experience! We made reservations a few days in advance and sent the restaurant a text when we arrived, and they text us back when our table was ready so that we entered safely and without a wait.
Great tasting food cooked to perfection. Service is efficient, professional, and courteous. Great dining experience.
I love this place. Great service great food and nothing to complain about. Just the best
Dinner 2 nights - food delicious with great service. Highly recommend; salmon, beef, burrata. Loved both our meals!
Our special anniversary spot. We came here on our wedding night and ordered the best oysters in town!❤
This is where my husband and I had our wedding reception with our family!!Good service and delicious cuisine!!
Excellent food. Impeccable service.
Absolutely perfect. Make reservations and try the adventurous dishes. The food is so good..The servers are really nice.
Great location but not so great food.
Best oysters on the half shell we have ever had! Highly recommend- wonderful service.
Excellent service sophisticated and subtle combination of flavors. Recommend but make sure you reserve ahead.
This place is wayyy overhyped in my opinion. Maybe They are still struggling post covid, so I would definitely give this place another shot, but I dined here tonight with two others and we were sorely disappointed. We ordered the prawns, which were good but overcooked. We each ordered the steak (at a steep $38 price point). The chef recommended medium rare was absolutely NOT medium rare. Cool red center. The dish itself was bizarre. It makes no sense at all to throw an onion ring on top of a steak at a nice restaurant. Give me mashed potatoes, give me asparagus, just give me something more substantive than an over-battered onion ring. The staff seemed frazzled (again, having grace with this because Covid), so our service was questionable if not bad.Overall, super disappointed in our experience at a restaurant that we had heard great things about.
Absolutely lovely. Really worth every penny.
The food is amazing, flat out amazing and 5 star worthy, the service, or at least our waiter, was a 2 star. That unfortunately weighs heavily on how I view this place. He was slow to check in on us, and was short and rude to us after we had paid the bill.
Excellent service every time, creative craft cocktails and amazing food. Cant wait for the cold soups to be back in season :)
Few times in my life have I experienced such poor hospitality at a restaurant. I attempted to make reservations for a party of 6 twice and the experience with the host was horrible. I’ve worked in the Restaurant Industry for over 30 years and poor hospitality is unforgivable.
Service is ok.The food is just not our type. And a little pricy too.Food feels like we are in WWII and need to store them for years before we eat. It’s dry and dull with strong “flavors”I also like how they manage to make the fries that salty and dressing with piece of beef( stake?)Anyway, very weird but cool experience.
Lovely fish dishes. Gorgeous dessert.
The food and service were both on point. This was a great dining experience.
Excellent food, fairly attentive serving staff. Not 5 stars simply because the price point is a bit steep.
Loved it! Excellent food and service.
Good food and great service. They were able to find a warm area for us to sit. Made our anniversary special.
It was great. The morel mushroom dish only had 2 morels though... kind of a rip off....
Classic French portions of locally sourced food and wine. Superb!
This restaurant is a go to for anyone living in Eugene. Great customer service, delicious food, and nice atmosphere.
The beef tenderloin was amazing. The drinks were also very good. A little spendy but worth it.
The drinks we ordered were amazing! Staff was knowledgable and friendly, I would absolutely recommend Marche.
Good food and good service... Beautiful place...
Never before was I moved by food like people talk about, untill Marche, the pork chop and the lamb duo are to die for along with the simple but amazing hazelnuts! Will come back many times!
Atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are all very warm and welcoming. Food is very different from most local cuisine, but it is delicious! Cant pronounce what I ordered but its tasty! If you are looking for something new you need to come here!
Definitely best restaurant in town!
Requested special arrangements for my sisters birthday. The woman who confirmed my reservation could not have been more accommodating and pleasant. When we checked in for our reservation she even took the time to go and check the table to confirm my requests had been addressed. The meal goes without saying, the food was fabulous as was the service.
Hands down the best restaurant in Eugene. No contest. It would be competitive in any major city with the best chefs.
Good food and attentive service
Definitely overrated and overpriced. Pros: The server was nice. The drinks are good. Variety in the menu. Olives are perfect. Cons: Service is spotty. Food was not exciting and does not command the price. Hated our entree and the server did not know how to respond. Did not offer to replace and only awkwardly apologized.
Had breakfast here the morning after the Dead & Co show at Autzen...smoked salmon hash for me and a mushroom asparagus omelette for her. Coffee was good. Bloodies were spicey. Waiter (Javan) was probably one of the best waiters I have ever seen. Would have been 5 stars except the ambiance of the restaurant could be better (and although outside is also an option, the patio faces the parking lot).
Very consistent and delicious with excellent service
We love Marche ! Christmas Eve here is tradition for us and were never disappointed... best bulliabaise and steak ever. We often brunch for the fabulous fish board, breads, pates and the variety of oysters. Food presentation is always lovely. One of the best things about Marche ? The staff !!! They are well-informed on menu items, knowledgeable on wines and apparatifs, always personable... keeps us coming back for more !
Had this for valentines day with my girlfriend and the brisket was amazing. Really pricey though...
We enjoyed a very nice dinner on a summer evening. Excellent food and service. Our waiter was a gracious, attentive man and all under challenging circumstances and times. Salad Nicoise and Olive oil cake for dessert...were coming back.
My wife and I were very pleased with the service and food. It wasnt as good as it was hyped up to be. But it wasnt terrible. The burger was probably one of the better ones in town. The mussels were a little bland and nothing too exciting. I will try it again but its about a 3.5.
Had dinner while traveling and staying at the Inn at the 5th hotel. Safe covid protocols. Excellent service and food.
This is one of the best dinner places in Eugene if you want a good high class meal. The prices reflect the quality and the quality is extremely high. The waiter was exceptional and made my fiancé’s birthday dinner that more extra special. I highly recommend!
We often travel the I-5 North/South route. This is a must stop place for us. Weve eaten here a dozen times and NEVER had anything bad. Staff is great, food is special, and theres just an overall feel that leaves us smiling every time. Really worth the stop off I-5 if youve got the time. Right up there with the best in Portland or San Francisco.
Great service and excellent food. Sat quickly and socially distanced nicely. Oysters on the half shell were really good and well prepped. No sand at all.
The food was terrific. Ambience is elegant and down to earth. Will come back again when Im back in town.
French food and the feeling at this spot is very good. I really loved this place. Bring your hunger - portions are large.
He curry-flavored mussels are a delicious appetizer, with the curry only adding a nice subtle flavor. My son had the beef tenderloin and it was prepared perfectly! I had the pan-roasted trout and the skin was super crispy and the accompanying sides were delicious and really added to the dish. Overall an excellent meal and a great experience. I will happily dine here again.
Its lovely French Eugenism. They just do it with a simple menu and deliver the goods with quality
My son loves these hot cocoas. The food is always yummy and staff has never disappointed with their welcoming, friendly demeanor.
We have loved Marche since its opening. Still one if the best places in Eugene or anywhere.
Best food in Eugene. Period.
Wonderfully French. We enjoyed a long, quiet brunch together with wonderful French food.
The food here is simply superb. Everything is well executed. I especially recommend the duck, the pommes frites, and the aioli.
A nicely appointed French restaurant that does a good job of introducing a street bistro feeling with fine food. Dont miss the steak tartare and fresh tomato and burrata. Highly recommend this place.
A fine dinning experience to die for; you could start with the local caramelized hazelnuts that go perfect with your favorite cocktail (in my case, I had the pleasure to find they serve Yamazaki single malt Whisky, which happens to be my preferred one), the deviled crab was delicious tooI would definitely recommend to add the truffle (locally cultivated) to any appetizer dish...or any dish altogether. My trout plate was just perfect in portion size, balance of flavors and presentation. This a great restaurant at a very reasonable price!!
Had a nice dinner on the patio with family. Fresh,.quality food. Excellent, attentive and friendly service.
Its Marché. Still Eugenes gold standard.
Best food I have ever experienced! Everything was amazing!
Excellent food and wines. The service is good and enjoyed the outside afternoon meal.
Highly recommend ! Amazing service, great food, refreshing beverage...couldnt ask for more.
So we only got fries and drinks at the bar. So my review is limited. The staff was just fine and Im sure the food is pretty good. The only reason for 3 stars instead of 5 was the Moscow mule was not good. Oh boy, some wine instead.
You can do much better, Marche. Been there many times and tonight was not par. Fattiest pork chop I have ever had in a nice restaurant. 1/3 of the chop was fat. Salad with strawberry vinegrette was blah and bitter greens. Dont know if covid is the reason or not, but I might have to give them some time before going back.
Upscale and casual at the same time. Marche has a way of being inviting to a nice upscale group dinner to the casual brunch/lunch. When I am meeting friends or family this is the place I look at first in Eugene. Excellent service, food, and atmosphere.
Its not worth the $$. Pricey, spent about $100 for 4 people, but except for their coffee, nothing was worth the price paid for. Would not recommend going here if youre looking for a tasty and hearty meal. This place is good for a drink and snacks, but thats about it.
I finally checked this place out recently, and it was wonderful. The staff were very polite, professional, and helpful. I had the Charcuterie platter, which featured an amazing duck liver mousse. When the waiter presented it to me, he took the extra time to check that I had everything on the platter that I had ordered. He noticed that something was missing, and immediately went to the kitchen to get it for me. I was impressed by that attention to detail and quality service. I then had the Chocolate Gâteau cake with a cappuccino. It was the greatest slice of chocolate cake I have ever had in my life. This place is great, and I had a great culinary experience there. I plan on returning.
