Reasonably good food.Fried fish apparently old

Good place to visit with family. Tasty and delicious food. Easy to arrive. Good hospitality. Kind concern. Neat and tidy. But higher cost for sea food specials. Rather than that rest of the food items are affordable for economic people.

I had a lunch here in April 2019. The food was really awesome: very well prepared and tasty! The stuff were so kind and fast when we ordered the meal. The atmosphere is calm... After having been to both Kochi Kettuvallam branches three times in as many months, I still found myself struggling to say something relevant about the place…until I realised not much can be said because there is not much to say: Kettuvallam is your proper, honest-to-goodness nadan Kerala eatery, with all the simplicity that accompany it. The place is clean, the décor is appropriately boat-themed, the menu is thankfully to-the-point and the service that special Kerala mix of speed and sullenness. While I’m told by others that the quality of the food varies with the mood of the cook (and perhaps the phase of the moon), I am happy to report that all the times I went, the specialty seafood dishes were fresh and, to my jaded Banglorean eyes, spectacularly cheap. In short, if you are in the Kaloor or Seaport Road area and feel the need for a seafood lunch, you could do a lot worse than here.

Simply over-priced. Even though its been months after GST is implemented, here there is no printed bill. They say its an reputed one and is there in the market for years. Then where is a printed bill with proper GST number ?? Food is okay. But price is too much high

The lunch served had bengali taste than keralite except it was on banana leaf. Payasam was good. Cost is really high. One normal fish fry was charged at 350 and lunch alone130. Service was ok but felt like A North indian restaurant except the buildimg. Parking was not available

Their fish curry meals is really good. If you are seafood person this place is a must go. Its not that expensive either. A normal fish fry comes around 150. Parking is a bit problem. Service is good. Clean washrooms.

I had food once from here. I was alone and i had chicken and chapati. The food presentation was so good and also good taste. Lot curry was left even after i had enough. But the price.... Well its overpriced. So... May be if you are going with your family, you may feel its fare priced. Not if you are going alone.

Had visited the restaurant with my family. The meals were not even up to the mark. They were cold and tasteless. Had ordered for karimeen polichathu, which was just fried fish in so much masala that ruined the fish taste. All the curry tasted just average. I had also ordered fried rice which was well prepared, but the quantity when compared to the price is very very less. The quantity of fried rice wouldnt even suffice a kids hunger.And now about the price, with so much low quality / quantity food, it was overly price.The staff on the other hand was very supportive.

Average food at a above average price.Tastewise dont disappoint. But the ambience is not that good especially non-ac.AC room is small also.Lighting was bad inside even at noon time.It just looks a boatlike outside only to attract some otherwise not appealing inside.Non fish meal cost me around Rs124 which i think was to complement the looks.

Tasty food in nice ambience but a little expensive

There are some restaurants which take good care of their reputation even if they are placed in a nice location. Then comes the latter which just sit around does nothing, the food will be average, service will be average, ambiance average, the only thing they are good at is in raising the price in a bill.If they are calling themselves a high-class restaurant, then i pity them for not even having a digital printed bill with proper GST number entry or anything. They just write down the price they need.Be cautious when you go here

Very very bad experiance..We had ordered two fish curry meals and one prawns roast. The curry was pathetic. It was tasting very average and didnt have any taste of a fish curry..(Watery taste with no salt and wasnt sour). The chunk small fish piece was tasting bad. And the regarding prawns roast. The gravy taste was good but the shrimp piece was not cleaned and it had the long tale when served. And had to pay 650 Rupees. Overall I would rate 1.

Very nice-looking place in Kochi. Lots of seafood options with plenty of day specials. Prawns were quite good. Complimentary sambaaram. If youre into seafood, give this place a look.Decently priced as well.

We ordered Sadya and two varieties of fish. Sadya was excellent. Traditional and tasty. Strangely the fish was really bad. It was damaged and fried without proper marenating. We left it without eating. And it was unusually over priced.

Decent food but pathetic ambience. The meals, pearlspot porichathu was good. The chicken varutharachathu curry was soaked in oil but. The facade of the restaurant is inviting but once u get inside its a pigsty - wet, cramped, smelly, shabby. It was full on a saturday evening - maybe because deserving kochiites have no choices !

Very poor experience.... We ordered chicken fried rice and we got fried rice with more scrambled eggs than chicken... When we enquired they said they add eggs scrambles in chicken fried rice and we didnt saw any chicken pieces in it...Moreover the menu list is embarrassing with overpriced items and its even more rubbish that they even charge the water we drink... No water is supplied for free...And finally they do not even have a printed bill... It seems really confusing coz after these months of implementation of GST, a heavily charged restaurant doesnt seems to follow the rule...

A lovely place for their afternoon meals. The meals are great and their prawn curries are just lip smacking . Its a bit dull lit, but the food makes up for it.

Kettvallam is a restaurant facing banregy road Ernakulam. It serves both vegitaran and non-vegetarian dishes. It is very close to Palarivattam metro rail station. Serves lunch in plantain leaves which is supposed to be the most heiginic as well as classic and natural.Those who are pure vegetarian, especially bhahmins prefer it. In fact though the restaurant is specialised with sea food items, chicken dishes are also available. The food is tasty and cost is a bit large.
