Was a member in the early 90s. Then left Kochi n the country. Came back n had no idea what my membership number was. In a few minutes, they picked it from an old ledger, n my relationship with this beautiful, expansive book library was rejuvenated.. I love Eloor Library.. it has always been my kind of reading center.

Great collection of books including the latest titles that come out.

They have a good collection of books and I have been a member for over 2 decades. But I see the very same books that I have read still out there. Eg, They have the kids Enid Bylton entire collection but the books are very old and dusty. Not good to hand over to kids who are allergic. I personally feel they should replace many of the most read book series(Atleast kids books) in addition to adding new collections. Not everyone enjoy reading 20 year old books when you can get cheap new books on Amazon. And you need to pay 10% of the book price as reading fee. Another issue is not able to search for a particular book. Everything is very congested now.. Sad to see one of my favorite places so dusty..
