Honestly best pub burger I have tasted in the Uk, the staff couldn’t have been more friendly even if we were in a hurry. The waitress made sure we had everything ready to take away even though we had to run to the train station, always with a smile.The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming and the interior was lovely and really authentic.The only downside was the long wait for the food, which was understandable with only one chef. But everything could be forgotten after the first few bites of this excellent cuisine.The perfect pub to go to after a long hiking day.

Used to be my local when I lived in the area. Still visit it on occasion and its still great. Outside area is nice but not comfortable for me. I prefer the leather sofas and chairs just inside.

Wow. That was an amazing meal. So nice. Worth every penny even if I hadnt got the government discount, which just made it all the better.Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was amazing.Good beers available too. I had a few pints of pint of Olde Trip which was lovely.Just what I needed and I really enjoyed myself. I needed to relax after some tough times recently and this was perfect.Thank you Dew drop. :)

Nice environs, comfy sofas etc, but on my last two visits not a great time. Penultimate visit got charged close to £7 for 1 pint and on the last one was served up what I can only describe as the dregs of the drip tray (they were good enough to change it hence upgrade to 3 stars).

A great pub, likely the best in Eastbourne! Staff are super friendly, who even dealt with a bit of riff-raff promptly & professionally, the pub itself is cosy with tons of character and the food was delicious - they cater for vegans extremely well too which was great for me! 5 stars well deserved.

Great pup with a good menu... well as long as you like burgers that is. They have gluten free buns and choices if needed.

£3.40 a half of punk ipa!! Ridiculous! I am down from London working, it aint that expensive at home let alone a back street pub in Eastbourne! Outrageous. Its Punk! Not Cloudwater, Buxton, Sault or something really good. I still cant believe it!!

Ordered food. It never came and they closed the kitchenAwful customer service. Staff was nice enough but constrained by an appalling manager/owner who is obviously just money grabbing.Been going there 12 years but wont be anymore. Theres alot of pubs with more to offer in Eastbourne

Just ate here after taking shelter from the rain on a bike ride and it was JUST what we needed!!Great welcome, super comfy chairs and a range of vegan burgers and of course curly fries 😋😋😋Didnt have any beer, but great range on tap.

This is a traditional pub I the heart of Eastbournes little Chelsea part of town. Deceptively larger than expected quirkily decorated and comfortably furnished with a lovely patio garden at the back. This is a Greene King pub, very well managed and offers guest ales, which is what persuaded me through the door at lunchtime recently.An utterly gorgeous few pints of Old Man from the Long Man brewery were not to be missed.The menu was a bit limited and you need to like burgers and / or chips but the one I had was tasty, well cooked and reasonably priced.

Characterful pub with friendly staff and charming heated garden. Prices were a bit steep though. I know Brew Dog is niche but £6.80 for a pint is something Id expect to see in Shoreditch, not Eastbourne 😁

Very busy but a friendly pub drinks are expensive compared to midlands

At lunchtime it is very quiet. Ive never been in the evening.But its still a relaxed atmosphere and the back opens onto a courtysrd garden with a covered section for smokers.

This pub dont take tedious weeks on ends prebookings, you walk in if there is a space youre in. Alleluia, most of the time you just want to just go out at the spur of the moment and just live a normal life. Now that you are in what can you expect. Well first impressions, staff are young and friendly and most importantly very competent. The pub is an old world one, very traditional decor, Modernised obviously. The toilets are upstairs so if you are disabled you might want to check if there is one downstairs. There is, out the back a high walled courtyard with each picnic table having its own wall heater, that you can control yourself, extra bonus points there. My party was vegetarian and vegan, I had a fake chicken burger and my daughter had the falafel patty vegan burger and we shared the nachos chips, thats right chips. We had a choice of different types of breads according to our dietary needs. The food was very nice, all, I think done to their recipes. Its the best I have tasted outside of veggie capital Brighton.

Lovely ecclectic pub great surroundings and garden,a real suntrap on hot days.We go for the burgers and sweet potatoes fries regularly.They are delicious and gigantic definitely value for money. Its just a lovely place to chill and relax.seating is nice too very homely yet interesting.

The chicken burgers are okay but beef burgers are inedible because of a sweet sauce which tastes horrible.

Love this pub, a cheery welcome on arrival, explaining the whole covid proceedure clearly, quick service, well spaced out tables, fantastic vegan food. Complete contrast to another pub nearby we tried to goto.

A good selection of beers served well. Sometimes there is live music. In the winter a real wood fire is burning which is lovely on a cold evening. Food is also served, the speciality of which are burgers. With an interesting variety of fillings. The menu has recently changed and in my view is not quite so good hence the loss of the 5th star. However this is very much an issue of taste not quality, the burgers are always well cooked.

Having told the lady taking my order that I was allergic to peppers so could I have it without salsa as it had peppers in, the burger arrived with 50% of the ingredients being peppers. I ordered a drink with the order which I then had to remind her that I was still waiting for whilst she chatted to her friend. What I could eat was nice and the chef was polite. My partners food was also good. Just dipsy bar person with no initiative.

Lovely cozy pub. Offers live dj set and live music during weekends. Good selection of food too! A rear garden with heating lamps... simply gorgeous!

Amazing burgers!! Lovely open garden terrace area in the back and back doors were all open as it was hot so you could sit in the shade inside whilst having a lovely breeze on you still. Staff very friendly

A great place to enjoy a good meal, a good pint and a great conversation.Every little detail is the decoration of the place looks hand-picked; from the cozy sofas up to a beautiful old sort of rocking chair from previous centuries.The staff really makes you feel like at home; theyre so kind and friendly its like you are at your best mates house.Im definitely coming back; not only from all of the above but from the fact that the kitchen is so damn good! We asked for a.couple of sandwiches and they were superb!Cant wait to coke back!

Lovely pub. Has been refurbished so bit more spacious and improved outside seating area. Good selection of ales and beer. Diverse clientele, all welcome, friendly cheerful staff. Toilet is upstairs and a bit of a workout to get to but they were nice and clean which good.

Lively pub especially Friday and Saturday night. Proper pub feel though. The had a dj playing some on dance classics on night I visited. Lots of people dancing and having a merry time. Been a few times and always a good place to have a drink. Good choice of beers.

Their amazing burgers and selection of food is delicious. The puns on the menu and lovely decor won us over. Some delightful spirits stocked in the bar. Would definitely recommend. Was busy on Saturday but our second trip it was much quieter.

This is a really nice place to come for a drink or even food trust me if your come here for food you will not need to stop on the way home as you would probably explode. The burgers are out of this world I travel 25 miles to come here and worth the hour spent getting here every time been twice now and will be coming again next month great value food cooked by happy friendly staff. I your coming for a quick drink a quiet one with someone or food out i would recommend this place to anyone.

Enjoyed our drinks here until the manager was unnecessarily incredibly rude to us. Wouldnt recommend to anyone purely because of him. The rest of the staff were lovely.

Went twice during our stay in Eastbourne. Once to get drinks (Baileys on the rocks) and once to get food. We each got a burger - they were done perfectly and were very tasty. Reason for the four stars - small menu selection. I think this place would be great for lunch but I would appreciate more options for dinner. Seems like a nice place for nightlife - have an outdoor and indoor seating area. They also have free WiFi which is a HUGE plus for travelers!

Gets very busy. Decoration is eclectic and interesting. Outside walled patio area for smokers and hot days.Disabled toilet on ground floor, others are upstairs.Food is reasonable, burgers etc. Moderately priced. Nice to see a vegan option.Cosy when the fire is going.

Easy going and friendly staff with a relaxed atmosphere, a very warming pub

Quiet, friendly. Unfortunately staff more interested in talking to anyone that will pay them compliments than actually watching the bar. Friend waited ten minutes to get served, whilst there was a grand total of approx 15 people in here. Bar staff was flirting with clients rather than watching the bar.

I liked the few drop for the reason of the outdoor seating... the service is a little but... well... I liked it

The choice of shops was good. But, the choice of goods in some of the shops was terrible. Not worth the 2 hours it took me to travel there!

Used to be a real oldy-world pub with bar billiards and board games. Now its just another modern bar. The staff are really nice though. Just depends what you want from a pub.
