Many people already said about the place adequately. I got nothing to add more. As a kid, here I saw Lotus Flowers for the first time in my life. So it is special for me.Being grown up, Im simply in love owith the serenity this place offers. Love to sit on the bank of serene lake. and yes, enjoy a humble winding road leading to it 🏍️!

PadmalayaΒ (also known as Prabhakshetra) is a village in theΒ Indian stateΒ ofΒ Maharashtra. It lies 10Β km from Erandol and 31.5Β km from the district headquarters of Jalgaon . Padmalaya, aΒ portmanteauΒ word blending Padmasya and Alaya, means Home of Lotus inΒ Sanskrit. The name is derived from a largeΒ lotusΒ pond that is believed to have existed adjacent to a local temple dedicated toΒ Ganesha.Padmalaya is one of the Saade-teen (three two and a half) Shree Ganapati Peeth in India. This place is regarded as the OneΒ Peeth. Padmalaya is blessed with the two Swayambhu Ganesh idols in the sanctum, named Siddhivinayaka and Riddhivinayaka. Two (Swayambhu) GaneshΒ idolsΒ are there. These idols consisted of Coral (Praval). One idol has its trunk (Sond) curving to the right and the other to the left. These idols were Swayambhu literally meaning self-existed. The temple is built using stone. A large pond beside the temple. This pond used to be full of lotus flowers. Hence the place got the name of Padmalaya. This temple is at the top of a hill. Small temples are on all sides of the main temple. The padukas of Shree Govind Maharaj are located in front of the temple. A huge bell weighing 440Β kg is next to the padukas.

It is an awesome place. Best place to visit during monsoon season. Good roads and greenery, small mountains will make you feel calm. This is place where in you will find serenity, purity and holiness. The two idols of Lord Ganesha are self - existing. Besides temple, there is a lotus pond and thats why this place is known as Padmalay. Near to this place, there is also a must visit place Bhimkund. I would definitely recommend this place.

Historical place in Maharashtra. The temple is very old but still beautiful. The surrounding nature is so peaceful and beautiful. Bheemas footprint is 2km away from the main temple. And there are no facility for vehicles you have to go on your own. There are some shops for snacks and breakfast before you enter the temple. Also some shops for toys. No proper care of dustbin in inside area and waste is scattered. Otherwise must visit.

According to legend, the warrior Bhim has a battle with Rakshas Bakasur and kills him. Bhim was thirsty after the fight so he hit his elbow very forcefully on the ground to form a small pond of fresh water. The place is called Bhimkund and is near the Padmalaya temple. Bhimkund is a beautiful place with lots of herbs and medicinal plants around the vicinity of Padmalaya Temple Reservoir.

Such a nice devotional place to visit. I have been visiting this place since my childhood. Padmalaya or Prabhakarshetra is around 31 km from Jalgaon a district town in Maharashtra. Well connected by road. Anyone can visit the place at any time of the year. But Padmalaya is more sceneric in monsoon when entire surrounding covered by green foliage.Padmalaya is one of the shaktipeetha among 3.5 according to Shree Ganesh Puran. Other 2.5 being are Shree Kshetra Rajur, Shree Moreshwar and half being Chinchwad.During period of Mahabharata, Pandava used to roamed around the surrounding. We used to heard about lots of tunnels are found between Padmalaya and Ek Chakra Nagari(modern name Erendol). Its more than mythological place. The Padmalaya name derived from word padma which means lotus flower in english and aalaya means abode. And viz in combination means abode of lotus flower. The devine premises juxtaposed to pond full of lotuses. Families can spend half day for picnic in and around the area.Must visit place.FaithAmol Nakve

Its a very old temple of Lord Ganesh. Right soond waley Ganpati Bappa. No photography allowed in the temple. On three sides of the temple there is small lake/pond. In that pins there are many Lotus flowers . These are exclusively used by the temple trust for Garland making and for showering on Bappa. Also the trust is collecting funds to make over of the temple. There is different space for car parking. Also there is sarvajanik SOCHALAYA(not maintained well) . The monkeys seen here are regular and d9nt harm you unless you try to harm them.

Padmalaya is a Ancient temple with one side beautifully surrounded by Pond of Lotus flowers. In this temple there two deities known as Amod and Pramod. Both of this are the forms of Lord Ganesha. There is place near this temple called Bhim Kund. It is said that, Once There was a Demon known as Bakasura, he daily use to eat one Bullock cart of Rice and one human being. One day Bhima(One of the Five Pandavas) intentionally came to him as his food. Then Bhima being soo powerfull had the fight with Bakasura. Bhima killed the Bakasura and Bhima won the fight. After killing Bakasura, Bhima was soo thirsty that he punched the earth surface with his elbow forming a big hole and water comming from it. Now if you go there you can see that hole and there is a form like big human feet. Also there is a very small white stones like rice induced in the surface, It is said that this are the grains of remaining Rice that Bakasura use to ate there. In Rainy season you can see the flowing water from Bhim Kund, many visitors also take deeps in water. In Summer mainly it is dry because of extrem heat of this side.Near this Bhim kund their is one Shiv-ling (The Representer of Lord Shiva). It is also a very ancient linga. You just take deep in Bhim Kunda and seat near the Linga with eyes closed, It would be really beautiful experience. If you are planning to go here, I would suggest Rainy Season, Because in Rainy Season, the very road side of comming to this place becomes very beautiful.Lets Explorer!
