We love dining at Buddha Raksa. The service is awesome and it feels like we are back at Thailand! Really recommend the crispy fried prawns.

Overall food was too much on the sweet side, and it’s not even desserts - it’s the main meals! . It wasn’t even savoury as what Asian meals should taste like. The beef in the pad Thai was dry and chewy. Quite disappointing.

Another disappointing place. I went for this place since it has amazing reviews. The place is clean. The service is amazing. The portions are generous. But the food taste is so bad. We ordered 4 different things, none of them were good.

The. Best. Thai. In. Sydney. Hands down. My family and I have been coming to Buddha Raksa for nearly 20 years. The food is amazing. The service is spectacular. Whenever I eat Thai food anywhere else I always compare it to Buddha Raksa. And I am always convinced that Buddha Raksa is the best. This restaurant is a staple of the area and I guarantee you that anyone who lives around here knows it. I think what really adds to the experience is the genuineness of the owners. They are so kind and good natured and whenever we visit they always ask how things are going. They truly are amazing people. The flavours of the food are always so nice and complement each other perfectly. There’s such a variety of food to choose from on the menu and they do it so incredibly well. You really really can’t go wrong with this restaurant.

Food took over an hour to arrive. The larb tasted distinctly like soil. The pumpkin chicken and fried rice was flavourless. Getting stuff wrong or something going astray is forgivable but this is just generally awful and I suspect unsafe.

5 stars for their outstanding customer service! Possibly the only Thai restaurant that offers such outstanding service in Sydney.The food tastes okay but doesn’t leave much impression as each dish doesn’t taste as strong and unique like other casual Thai places.

Beautiful interiors, lovely staff, fast service but unfortunately was let down by the flavours of the dishes we ordered. The mixed entree was probably the highlight of the night. Having come back from a holiday in Thailand just a week ago I found the Penang curry to be bland & tasted a whole lot more like peanut butter. The pad see ew was drenched in sauce and noodles a bit too soft. Only thing I can think of is that they are catering to western tastes & this is reflected by the clientele we saw on the night. Maybe other dishes are better here but dont think Id come back. For the prices you pay there are others which are far better in taste & friendly on the wallet.

The best local spot for thai food. Usually came here after work and it was late but the owner always happy to keep the door open.Another great thing I like to mention is the owner willing to recommend and customize (within limit) the dish for you which other restaurant might not do it for you. I like spicy so always order extra spicy make the food more tasty.We really enjoy the food and a little chat with the owner after dinner! Always come back here for thai food!

We love Thai food. We came here with very high expectations because of the reviews. The place is amazing, the staff was very kind but the food wasnt good enough. They dont serve yellow curry and dont have coconut rice. Not worth it.

Best Thai I have had in Sydney! Went for a birthday and the waiter was very kind and helpful! Customer service was great! Food was amazing, everything we ordered was incredible! We ordered some sort of pad Thai with noodles and fried noodles on top, it was to die for. Will definitely be coming here from now on when I feel like Thai!

A must if you are after authetic thai food, unmatched in Sydney. This has been our family restaurant for 20+ years and we still travel back to the area to get a fix. Staff are also always lovely and adds to the experience. Try Chicken Satay (not like an average satay dish), Brandy Squid and Crispy Eggplant < highly recommend.

Buddha Raksa is a lovely restaurant that serves up authentically, pleasing Thai cuisine with a nice variety of options for the whole family to enjoy with a good quantity. The staff are really friendly and caring. With clean facilities to use.

Buddha Raksa serves authentic Thai food that is simply devine. Tep, TD and staff are very attentive and provides a warm and friendly service. We had a birthday dinner for 16pax and everyone enjoyed their meal and atmosphere. Thanks for a memorable evening.

We ordered food from this restaurant on someones recommendation. We had it delivered on a Sunday evening. Regrettably it was probably the worst takeaway we have ever eaten. The food was dry lacked taste and in some instances cold. We were so looking forward to eating something different in these COVID19 times but were very disappointed. The bill was around $65 and to us it was a disaster - money down the drain.

Amazing food, amazing staff, and amazing atmosphere. Love this place so much. I have for dinner tonight my favorite dish, pork belly with bamboo and onions. Its the best dishes ever. Im gonna go back for this dishes and for the lovley people work there at the restaurant.

Portion was massive which was a bonus, service was great but the Pad Thai was very soggy and wasnt really that nice too eat.

A group of 11 came here for dinner. So glad we did. The food was delicious. Other Thai restaurants put too much coconut cream which waters down the flavour. The duck curry was cooked perfectly but the suprise standout was the eggplant. Portions are very generous so we ended up taking away the left overs. Will definatley be back.

Never had a bad experience.. The new restaurant is lovely. Air conditioned and spacious. Absolutely well worth a visit.

I walked out of this restaurant furious..70 dollars for 2 dishes and 2 drinks that if i had bought in a food court for 10 dollars i would be furious..serious unimpressed..and 3 dollars for rice on top of 27 dollars for a garred beef curry ohmg im so embarrassed..garbadge

Went here for the first time last night. The staff were so welcoming and had big smiles on their faces. The wooden chairs and the decor were very inviting. Food came out in a timely matter. The wait staff had bright shirts one and there was a positive vibe in the restaurant. I enjoyed by meal and the portions were great. I was able to take the leftover food away to bring to work he next day. Overall great experience and I would definately come again and would recommend is restaurant to friends and family. I went on a week day which was good. Im not sure if there would be plenty of parking on the weekends. This wouldnt deter me away though.

Sydneys best Thai restaurant, at a very affordable price. They use the freshest ingredients, all real herbs, some of which I have never seen anywhere else. Great recipes. They really care about their work which is why it is so good. Try the green curry chicken, the duck curry, the Pad Thai or any other dish! Their beautiful new premises have a traditional Thai external architecture. Everyone loves it.

This is located a bit away from the main city. Must go for the crackling chicken. The lunch specials are a great deal. They have a lot of vegetarian dishes as well which makes it a perfect spot for anyone. The staff is attentive and great with hospitality. Over all it is a great place and highly recommend.

The place is decked out in Thai style, lovely waitresses and the owners greet and make sure all is well. The food is yum and the price reasonable. Ive been a few times, in a large group, small group and intimate couples night out. They have a special up stairs events area for weddings and other functions.

It might not look like much from the outside, but the decor and staff really transport you to another place. The service was great and so was the food. Clean toilets and parking available just around the corner. Worth a try!

Really good quality Thai food - everything we ordered was good and they have Chang beer! Service was prompt, big venue and lots of families there so it is fairly loud (aka atmosphere). This place is popular so I recommend you book during busy nights.

I went to Buddha Raksa Thai with my partner after it was recommended to me.I wasnt particularly impressed by the food, which was quite average.We ordered some yellow curry which was bland in taste and the sauce too runny. The fried rice was OK.The service was good.I might going there again, but I wasnt particularly impressed.

It was a wet and cold night when I popped in for a quick dinner between jobs. Lovely welcome from staff in a scrupulously clean ResturantI sat down and suffered a little sticker-shock when I saw the cost of the mains. Unwilling to head back to the rain and risk the cheap Indian Restuarant next door I ordered a stir fry with fish.Im glad I stayed! The food was YUMMY! Waiters and Waitresss all had good English skills, and came around whenever there was a need offering a choice of white or brown steamed rice, topping up water, clearing table when needed.Im very happy I spent a few dollars more!

For a suburban place, they are somewhat premium priced, but the quality is just pathetic. Yes, they were not bad once upon a time, but the pad thai and pad see ew today were so below par it is not funny. Please dont believe the 4.5 rating on Google.

Been going to Buddha Raksa for the past 7yrs after my in laws introduced us to the restaurant when we moved to the area. We have lived out of the area for the past 4yrs and have tried many other Thai restaurants out west but they just dont compare to the quality and great taste of Buddha Raksa. We still meet my mother and father in law there often for dinner. best Money Bags ever... I have a top three Thai restaurant choice in Syd they are Buddha Raksa, Thai Nesia and Thai Pothong.
