I visited this place for first time, and found it to be nice, theres good variety of Indian grocery items, also find good variety of ayurvedic herbsAlso found the staff very friendlyThey got variety of Indian kitchen tools, and also sewing machine, items for craft.They also offer good range of items required for performing religious rituals, idols, frames and garlands.Not to forget you also get bangles here so yes you get other merchandise too apart from grocery.

The Spice Centre Delivers on its name. There are spices and there are spices. This place has all of them, and reasonably priced.Walking in lights up your olfactory. Bags of black peppercorns, tumeric, nuts, sauces, and rare vegetables (they have things Ive not seen anywhere else)If you need (spice x), very probably yes.

I refuse to enter this place anymore. I know they do a price markup which is normal but to sell things that clearly say they are not for sale???? After confronting the cashier, she still proceeded to charge me for this. Why were they not pulled off the selves when she was informed about the issue? Why did she STILL proceed to charge me for this when I said I DIDNT WANT it. Train your employees better. Scammers!

A huge store that has everything most East Indians would need I’d imagine, but as an Iranian, the only thing from them I ever need is their convenient tamarind concentrate which they always have in stock- at a very reasonable price I might add- whenever I’ve needed some. 🤩🤩 So this is my go-to store for tamarind, plus the staff are always courteous and friendly. Keep up the great selection of products and service! 👍🏻👍🏻

Very bad experience.I went to get some groceries there. Store smells so bad, doesn’t look clean,there is no price tags on some products.Very bad customer service, specially cashiers was very rude.no greetings at all.very rudely he enter amount on pin pad and he throw receipt on table instead giving me in hand,also throw my bag.he acted like he is mad on me.I was shocked by the behaviour.looks like they don’t care about business.I wish there was a option for zero star or minus ratings.

Hello everyone careful when you buy something from them. Once they take your money no chance even to exchange or even ask for refunds plus they have worst customer service too. If I have to rate them I will give them zero Complete crooked and rip off.

Very bad customer service

Bought Frozen Dhal Roti (from Trinidad), it was expired and smelled after defrosting. The color of the roti was gray...Theres no expiry date on the packaging as well.. Disgusting

Its an OK store for those of us looking for authentic foods from home. Overpacked with products that some are out of date.There customer service is ZERO. Definitely not any warmth that a true Canadian store provide. They are not helpful at all and have an attitude that will push you towards not returning. At the checkout there is no greeting and then they dump your products from the belt, to what I suppose would be called the bagging area, tell you the price and thats it, NO THANK YOU!!!Glad there is a new store opening along 99 st; hopefully theyll have better customer service... Guess well have to wait and see.

PATHETIC STORE ! Have been purchasing goods from this store since last 7-8 months but have never been more shocked. The very first instance was when I bought ready to eat food and realized that the food item had expired months back, when I returned the owner apologized for the same and we let it go as it could happen sometimes. However it was still displayed. We just recently bought some lentils and were shocked to realize there was a heavy smell of chemicals in that. Just a few days back got a bottle of ENO and when someone in the family had it, they puked as it tasted bad. The expiry date was till 2022 , however anybody could smell the strong smell of asafoetida from inside the bottle. We are not even going back there but are submitting the article with the health authority for Alberta to take an action on the same as we dont require there sorry anymore.

Complete crooked and rip off. Despite being in Canada for so long, you guys still have the same crooked and rip off mentality as back in India, unfortunately. If I could put zero star, I would.Bought a hot pot from that shop on May 19 2017. Did not notice it was defective inside and went for a long drive with freshly cooked rotis in it. During our supper the same day, we noticed some of the rotis had black marks on them, like mold. When we inspect the inside properly, we saw that black mark on the side, something you wont notice right on. We took out all the rotis and cleaned the hot pot, thinking we will call the shop on our return on Tuesday May 23 2017. Called them today Wednesday May 24 2017 and not surprisingly, was met with a rude old man saying he wont exchange it. We explained to him the problem and what happened to our food and he said he doesnt want to hear anything. I told him I will put a review on this matter and he said you can go ahead as this wont affect my business at all.I know this review may or may not do something, but for sure I am not going to those twisted people again. RIP OFF AND THIEVES

Often expired items on the shelves. Absolutely no concept of social distancing. When the store opens then they start to shelve the produce. So if you are looking to buy any veggies, do not bother going anytime earlier than 11 am on weekdays. Cleanliness is also not top notch.

The only Indian grocery store I go to. This shop has been a long standing go to grocery store for many East and West Indians. The family that runs it is helpful. They carry a huge selection of whole and ground spices, as well as fresh vegetables, fruit, frozen foods and a wide array of Indian snacks. . I especially appreciate their fresh green chillies which are always super hot! I think they also carry the latest Bollywood movies and music

If you are in Edmonton this is the place to go for all types of Indian groceries and spices I even found some spices and utensils that are not found in the GTA greater Toronto area. Prices are also ok

This has been our regular stop for Indian groceries n vegetables. Their collection is enormous and fresh. The owner is super friendly, extremely kind which gives additional comfort when you shop here. Name anything and you get here, which definitely makes you feel you never miss home. Famous for all kinds of Indian spices. Recently extended the shop. Could be the only major Indian spice centre in Edmonton. Small amount of fresh vegetables are also available here. Parking is easy here.

This place is a good place to visit if you wish to find Caribbean and East Indian products. Could be a little cleaner and better laid out. Customer service could also be improved but overall not a bad place to shop.

Great selection of products and can often find items here that you wouldnt at other locations.My only gripe is that today for the third time, I found expired product on their shelves. Always been wary of that when buying here and will probably not return here. There are now 4 other grocery stores in the same strip mall.

Friendly helpful staff. I brought cookware and the top on the cover was broken which meant when hot I would have to lift the cover with a pot holder I went back and explain. They gave me one no charge. I was so happy.

Went there for groceries yesterday. It was really fussy there. There was zero social distancing and they couldn’t do much about it. It was scary. Strict distancing should be implemented. Never going back again..

Fresh vegetables and great varieties of Indian groceries.

This is definitely a to-go place if you want to buy some authentic Indian vegetables, pooja items, some vessels and for some frozen foods like veggie samosas, veggie nuggets etc. But the flip side is - it is bit expensive where lentils, rice and wheat flour are overly priced. Would suggest buying these items from “No Frills” store in white avenue

Cool south Asian grocery store. I like going there. Veggies are generally fresh and not expansive like some other south Asian stores. Owner brothers and employees are are always helpful. They could be lil more flexible about store hours though
