We ordered $90 worth of food. Told them to make it mild. Two butter was so spicy, wife and kids couldnt eat. Have to throw it out. Chili chicken tasted stale.Kulfi had two small pieces of plastic in it. Looked like broken off a plastic knife or something. We expected fresh and to order for that price iCould have had nice meal for 4 from olive garden. We will never go here for take out again. Will let my family and friends know.

I ordered takeout and I changed my mind and asked for dine in, but the front staff didn’t allowed for dine in even though I am double vaccinated. Front staff had very bad attitude on customers. If the manager or owner is reading this , teach him some customer interaction skills. Thumbs down for the front staff.

Well I have been eating here for almost a solid 5 years now and was probably closer to once a month we would order there butter chicken and saffire rice last month I orderd the same thing two butter chickens and two orders of rice Wich is close to 50 bucks, the price was never an issue cause it was really Delicious but now the portion size is so small , so last month I orderd and just thought it was a one off type situation , and decided to give them the benefit of the doubt , after all I have been eating here for close to six years now and feal like it was a staple of my diet . Last night I orderd and discovers it was not a one off it was the same thing the rice order was tiney ....even the butter chicken co taoners were half full and small as well , for 50 dollars I feel you should be able to feed a family of three ....and not have to cook up your own rice just to supplement cause we were all still hungry after.......All and all I cant recommend this place any more just due to the portion size , it was extremely small for the price ....I wish I could of shown you how small of portions were sold for 50 bucks ....it kinda reminded me of dim sum , when u pay three dollars for a few chicken dumplings , but this was like paying 50 dollars....The staff are always friendly and food is good , this is what kinda pains me to make a bad reveiw on this place but now this is two times , now I feel as if I received 10 dollars of food for over a hundred spent ...sad part is this place was once the only place to go to for butter chicken...slowly I can see them falling apart.....Kids cup is for reference....just barely and food and they charged me 15 bucks for this....And now just seeing all the reveiws it confirms what ever happened to this place in the last year ruined it , hopefully the owners can put some work in and get this place up and going again ....just reading over the reveiws shows me that there is actually no customer support either ... Sad sad sad ....

Came here for lunch recently. Overall decent food - smaller selection than other places but it’s also less expensive. In terms of food, their dishes were spicier than other places. The goat curry was probable what stood out the most

I have been a loyal customer for a long time, at least a monthly order. Now I sit in the parking lot cancelling my order that I made 40mins ago, even received an Email confirmation. I arrive, and nothing is ready.But what has me steamed is that they gave me a story about how them never receive the orders and they are always surprised. Erm, that’s a problem that should have been rectified when you noticed. Worse off is getting hung up on.The food is decent here, but it’s nothing that special and there are hundreds of other Indian places in the area that can provide orders in a timely fashion.For all those loyal customers, call and check up on your orders…cause they don’t have a clue.

I have lived in Edmonton for more than 3 years now and I am shocked that I did not know about this gem. Excellent Service, Awesome food presentation and taste to die for, they have got it all plus a very wholesome dine in experience. Loved it!!

Poor service, 1 person handling takeout and in house dining. Butter chicken was sugared sweet (we asked for mild) , dal was cooked okay but pretty bland, roganjosh goat was supposed to be spicy came totally bland. Then took 15 minutes to be redone. 2 tandoori rotoes never came. Not coming back.

Really great service and food. A little pricey, but worth it if you go for the buffet. The dishware also suffers from insufficient cleaning here and there, but if you notify the staff, they will gladly fetch you a new piece.

Been ordering food from here a few times and I gotta say the last few times it has gone downhill and their customer service is garbage. We got ripped off on our last order from last night and were given the wrong items, no intention to correct it. That was the last time, wont be coming back here. They always say 15 mins and I asked the girl to confirm as I already had bad experience with this place before and she said 15 mins. I got there after 25 mins and she asked me to wait another 5 mins like like she did last time. All I’m saying jus tell me the truth so I’m not wasting my time waiting for you. Have ordered on line from Rasoi several times, however; yesterdays encounter left me shaking. The waiter had packed my order; the waitress reminded him of a missed dish. Instead of using a different plastic bag, he bent down and used his teeth to open it. I told him how unhygienic it was. He immediately went on a verbal tirade. If it was not for the bar counter, he would have physically harmed me. The waitress apologised profusely. This waiter should be sent for some serious anger management classes. Needless to say, I will never be returning.

I went for the Sunday buffet. It was awesome! Only 10$ a person, filling, tasty, and there was a desert included. It was mostly things that I was familiar with but there was a couple of new things in the salad area. Overall, I enjoyed myself and my meal!

This restaurant serves north Indian cuisine. I opted for the lunch buffet. The choice was limited especially at the salad bar. But what was available was tasty just like any other Indian restaurant although the quantity available was small . The price offered through Groupon was very reasonable. Service was good although there was just one person to serve.

We decided to go to this restaurant as we wanted to eat traditional indian food. We reached the place at about 9:00 pm and store was supposed to close at 10:00 pm.The other hall was entirely empty and we requested if we could have sofa for the dinning as we had our old mother with us. She is not very comfortable on chair, hence we requested the server for the sofa.He did not agree about us sitting on the sofa and was more concerned about the next customer coming in. We were 3 in total and the sofa was for 4. He said what he is going to do if bunch of 4 people arrive. He was more worried about the future. He had all the other option to connect the table and accommodate people.He should have at least thought about our mother.VERY BAD ATTITUDE towards serving the customer.At last we decided to leave that place and still THEY DID NOT HAD COURTESY TO STOP US.VERY DISRESPECTFUL.WOULD NEVER WANT TO GO AGAIN.

The food is great , but the customer service needs improvement. We sat down without menus. Their staffs wasnt responsive enough to give us menus, we waved a couple times before someone came to our table. The first thing they ask was what we want to order. Well, how can we order anything if they dont give us any menus? After we asked for menus, we were interrupt immediately to order which its kind weird in my opinion. I dont like to be rushed if I decided to sit in a restaurant.

We asked fir our food to be a bit on the spicy side. It wasn’t. Our dining experience was further ruined by a child yelling and the adults around him enabling the behaviour. It looked like they knew the waitress. All in all this place is better fir take out.

The food is excellent. Ordered on line, with pick up. The food was ready when I came 10 minutes early. The chicken royal is to die for and the rice perfectly made. Yummy Naan Bread. Cant say enough. Thanks Duncan for your input on this fabulous place.

I skipped the dishes today from there. I thought let me try some place new. It was a bad idea. The biryani was absolutely tasteless that even my 11 yr old nephew refused to eat the “Tasteless biryani“ but the even shocking things was the first spoon of rice I served my husband had a long strand of hair 🤮🤮 Disgusting! Never again will I get anything from there and I won’t recommend it to anyone.

Came here for lunch the other day. The service is dreadfully slow even for a weekday lunch service. The food at the buffet tasted stale and like it has been sitting around all day, it was very bland and unappetizing.Overall there is better choices to be had for Indian cuisine then Rasoi, I would look somewhere else before trying this place out for yourself.

Worst ever customer service, patheticwent with a friend to spent some good quality time, bought two saperate coupons from groupon as they dont sell single coupons for 6 people. On arrival reastaurent staff asked us to seat on a separate table and even after talking to several people we fail to convince them and staff/management is regid on their stand. We had to return without eating.In service industry like Restaurants if we are not getting reasonable service then there is no point going thereStrongly recomend that never go to such place like Rasoi Restaurant (50th street, Edmonton) where you dont get well treatment.

Normally dont write reviews but I ordered even though I had seen the not so good reviews here. I received the food and was shocked by the large proportions I had received. I ordered Chefs Special Naan and Butter chicken meal. The food lasted 2 sittings on an empty stomach. It also tasted amazing. Butter chicken was so juicy and just fell apart. I would recommend :)

One of my favorite restaurants. Vegetarian friendly, and very accomodating. Suitable for families with smaller children or medium sized groups. Beautiful interior and the food is outstanding. Cant find a thing to complain about!

We ordered take away so I can only speak to the food and... it was excellent! We ordered chicken karahi, chili chicken and naan. The prices are reasonable (around $14 for a meat dish) and two orders of naan meant four large pieces. My only gripe. We phoned in our order, they said it would 20 minutes. When we went to pick up, we waited another 20 minutes at the restaurant. Hmmmm.... Not the end of the world but could have been a problem if we were in a hurry.

We are never the ones to rate or post. However, recent experience dining there has been terrible. And we used to love eating there. The chicken tikka masala that we ordered came frozen, literally! You could see the chicken pieces frozen dipped in gravy, so we showed it to them and they gladly replaced it BUT the new one wasnt any better. It was just a little more cooked than old one Thats it!! Please check your food if its cooked or not! I may still go there but such a put off.

Worst food experience. There were food particles in the glass of water. When we asked to change the water the waiter started arguing. Moreover he knowingly told the chef to make the food spicy. My boyfriend and i stopped for lunch today, we missed the buffet by a few mins but this was our 1st time so we werent sure what to expect....well....... Food was amazing! Spicy and delicious, had a chicken dish and a cottage cheese dish both were fantastic, the stuffed naan bread was fresh and mind blowing- just the start of describing this exciting mealThe staff were outstanding and helpful as we had lots of questions, kingfisher beer is really quite good as well if you like a light lager, we cannot wait to come back and try different things from the menu I would give it 5 stars but no place is perfect and i cant do 4 and a half

We have been to this place twice for a take out, overall its a great place, we had the vegetable samosas along with butter chicken some lamb that I cant recall and naan bread. The food was good, we have tried many places before and none come as close as this place. Theres always a 15% off on pick up, I would recommand.
