I was attending as a guest at a party and I was approached by a food preparer while I was taking food and he said Please take less , other guest will need it. I felt very insulted and I strongly dont recommend them for any of your events.

When I was planning my wedding, great food was an absolute must and that’s why I went with the best: Moghul Caterers. They did our wedding weekend and they were phenomenal! Our guests were a mix of North Indian, South Indian as well as non-Indians. We wanted a mix of different foods that would appeal to everyone’s palate. The team of Kamal Arora, Chef Vipul, and Dimpy came up with an amazing menu for our 4 different events. It was a great mix of fusion, traditional, veg, non-veg. They paid attention to every detail and accommodated changes along the way. The presentation of the food was perfect. The guests are still raving about how delicious the food was. Working with Moghul for my wedding was truly a highlight for me and my wedding experience. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

We are so happy we booked them for our Bengali Hindu ceremony in NYC. We had last minute venue changes due to COVID issues and needed a caterer a month before our wedding- Rajeev was so responsive, helpful and accommodating from the start. He had great recommendations and worked with us to create a truly fusion menu (my husbands family is Italian American) so that there were familiar menu items for my Bangladeshi family and his side but also fun fusion things like chicken tikka flatbread or tandoori lamb chop that was intriguing for everyone to try. The food was high quality-my dads a chef who is very nitpicky and he gave his approval! Especially the meats. We had specific menu requests such as the goat curry to be cooked Bangladeshi style and chef Vipul worked with my mom to make sure it was cooked the way that was intended and delivered on it- my family was very impressed. One thing would be to make food less spicy when there is a mixed wedding guest crowd but luckily there were many options of foods to eat that it wasnt an issue. We are so happy we booked the best. We highly recommend them!

Moghul Catering and Food is an experience on its own. We hired Moghul for my daughters intimate outdoor wedding. The Chef ( Vipul) and his staff out performed themselves. We had unexpected rain, Vipul and his staff kept the party going Rain or shine. The Bartender was keeping every one happy with his concoction of Mango Mojitos . The food was out of this world ! Mogul catering was an exceptional caterer that was used for our wedding two weeks ago. The food was delicious, beautiful and beyond our expectations. Our experience with Moghul Catering for our daughters wedding was great. Right from Neeraj discussing our various options initially, the tasting and the ease with which 2 specific items were made as per our recipe was a wonderful experience. Most items on the day of the event were very good, if not exceeding our expectations. They were punctual, polite and helpful.

I hired Moghul catering for my wedding in summer of 2019 and the service and food was beyond excellent. They were extremely accommodating with the food requests and the menu selections were creative and unique. The food itself during all the wedding events was excellent in taste and presentation. Multiple guests at the wedding commented on how great the food was during my wedding. In particular Kamal and Neeraj were amazing to work with and went above and beyond to make the food at the wedding memorable!! This is the catering group to use for your wedding if you are looking for unique presentation, excellent quality and tasting of food and exceptional service!

Overall I would say solid 3.5, had it only been regarding the quality of the food on the event days, they would have scored much higher...- Pros: From a presentation and food standpoint, Moghul was wonderful. Our guests raved about the food they provided for all 3 of our events. The caterers were definitely well known by all of our other vendors for their great reputation, fresh ingredients and it seems like the chefs did not disappoint on the big day.- Cons: We, as the bride and groom, did not have as great interactions with Moghul as expected. We ended up having 3 tastings because none of our notes, comments or requests were followed through from previous tastings (2 of which our Moghul contact person didnt even show up to). I had to constantly reach out to the managers to request to meet or even just discuss the menus. I repeatedly reminded them that we did not want to repeat food items between the Sangeet, lunch and reception dinner (which I was hoping they would provide more insight and suggestions for since they have such creative food options and varieties on social media). For a sizeable wedding of 250 guests, we certainly felt like a smaller host for their company. Lastly, the Moghul representative told me during the reception that they had packed some dinner for myself and the groom before leaving for the night since we did not get to eat however when we asked the venue, they hadnt left anything and when I contacted the manager we had been working with, he ignored my messages... This was a very disappointing note to end on after hearing such great things from our guests. Although we would recommend their food for wonderful quality and presentation, we did not have an enjoyable interaction with the catering group.

Wedding reception event in our family was catered by Moghul. The variety and taste of food were big hits with our guests. The service was outstanding. All menu items were prepared with care to meet our requested spice level and need for some dietary restrictions. During cocktail as well as buffet dinner, sufficient food was available to not have any guest wait in line or feel that food was running low. This was our third event with Moghul and they came through for us beyond our expectations.

May it be Wedding, Baby Shower, Sweet 16 or any other Catering event. You cant go wrong with Moghul Catering. They offer excellent food and outstanding services, certainly the experts in the Industry. Highly recommend these guys.

This was the worst catering service we have ever experienced. While they were responsive over email, the day of the event was a total disaster. We specified in our contract that we would like the food delivered by 6 PM. However, the caterers arrived at 3 PM. The two people who came to deliver the food told us they were instructed the wrong time. Given that it was nearly 90 degrees outside, we advised them to return back so the food does not get spoiled. From what we gathered, the drivers did not go back and may have stayed in another parking lot, while the food rotted in the back. Also, when they left they had left three white bowls for the chutney on the sidewalk, which WE saw. We had to use those same bowls when the food arrived which was highly unsanitary. When it was time for the delivery, the event had already started. They then asked for hot water to place underneath their trays. Because of this, a few of our guests were forced to help out and not enjoy the event. Additionally, when they were done placing the food on their respective trays, they simply left. They had not taken off the aluminum covering and they kept the plastic shrink wrap on the food. By the time it was dinner, we came to see how it was left. As a result, we had to unwrap the food and a few people cut themselves from the sharp aluminum and burned their fingers taking off the shrink wrap.This was THE WORST catering experience we have ever experienced. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else. My advice would be to stay away from these large restaurant groups as they are driven more by profit than a satisfied customer experience.

My family is a frequent visitor to all the restaurants that are managed by Moghul. But we also organized a corporate event and they were extremely professional and handled the event very well. Food was excellent which it has always been. Its the name. Good work and keep up the quality.

Moghul is quite simply the best South Asian caterer in the country. We used them at our daughter’s wedding 7 years ago and then used them again at our son’s wedding last weekend. Moghul provided the catering at our daughters wedding for both the cocktail hour and the reception. We decided to go with a full vegetarian meal and it was big hit. Our guests simply loved the food! There were soo many compliments and that made the evening a really memorable one for all of us. Our only regret, as hosts, was that the cocktail hour was only an hour and we never got round to eating all the appetizers:-(. We think the food was exceptional and would strongly recommend Moghul to anyone looking for caterer for any event.

We hired Moghul Catering for our wedding in NJ and were extremely satisfied with the results. We worked with Dimpy, and she was very helpful throughout the process. This review is for wedding catering.TL;DR – food was AMAZING, would work with them again. One place to improve- communication after signing the contract/finalizing the menu.We worked with Rajeev for our wedding day lunch and dinner. We knew Moghul’s reputation from other family members and we super excited to have them for our wedding. Rajeev was great at being flexible for food tastings, because my wife and I live in Washington, DC and had to travel to NJ for the tastings. In addition, my parents were traveling from CA, so I appreciated the flexibility for them as well. He was willing to work with our schedules to the best of his ability.During our tastings, Rajeev would suggest items – that was really helpful because he would suggest items we didn’t think of. He also worked with us to create a totally new drink that we passed around during our wedding ceremony that people loved. Rajeev was extremely understanding of food restrictions – he made sure that nothing had eggs and the food that we specified no onion/garlic did not have any. Moghul provided clear signs for potential allergens for our events, which we asked for.Overall, the food was all super delicious and we got nothing but compliments from our guests. They raved about it!The reason why we are not giving 5 stars is because we had a lot of communication difficulties with Moghul. After our tastings, it took us a lot longer to finalize our menu than we hoped for because we wouldn’t hear back in a timely fashion. We would leave messages and emails, but not hear back for sometimes a few days but oftentimes several weeks. We ran pretty close to the wedding week before finalizing our menu (probably less a month before) – note, most of the items had been finalized but one or two items were left open.Ultimately, it worked out and our guests loved the food. But, in the months before the wedding – my wife and I were frustrated that we wouldn’t hear back or that our emails remained unacknowledged, and that we couldn’t lock down our menu for lack of responsiveness.We would hire them again for the food, but hope that they take steps to improve their communication with clients. This could’ve been for lack of staffing because it was clear that Rajeev was handling so many clients.

Moghul catering was first and only food tasting we did. We had pleasure of working with Rajeev from begining for our daughters wedding celebrations. He made food tasting experience a joy. He understood our taste and likings and had excellent ideas and suggestions. They catered food for all our occasions starting from Sangeet function, wedding luch to reception dinner. We had all kind of food from Gujarati, south- Indian, north-Indian and thai. Our daughter and son-in law wanted platted meal for the reception, which I was not sure how that will go. The food tasting was a great opportunity to interact with the chef(s) to tweak how the food should be cooked on the day of the wedding. The chef(s) were able to accommodate all of our requests. Moghul caterers and Rajiv have been our go to food vendor since our wedding! They are so professional, friendly, accommodating, and the food is always delicious! All our guests still remember our wedding food from 4 years ago and my sisters wedding food was a big hit as well! We just had moghul again recently for my baby shower and it was another success.. we trust them completely and recommend them to all our family and friends! It was absolutely a delight working with Neeraj, from the onset Neeraj was very prompt in responding all the queries and was very intuitive , his experience helped us in selection of the best menu for all the events, Lunch, which was South Indian, I am told the food was OUT OF THE WORLD many guests mentioned it was the best South Indian meal they had ever eaten.Evening Ccocktails, we were simply fantastic, the presentation was perfect , just when we thought nothing can top the cocktails, there was the best dinner ever, Lychee dish and Lamb dishes were simply divine, , and best part was the desserts, it was so beautifully laid out, as promised by Neeraj , I must say Moghul went over and beyond in making our very special day so successful, for that many Thanks to Neeraj for all the coordination and insight,...true to the Moghul reputation, you guys are the best in the industry.Thank you very much Kerman &Jasely , Dinesh & Suchita

Where do I begin? Everyone says that the food at your wedding is something people will talk about for days to weeks after the wedding, whether it was good or bad. When we first decided to go with moghul, it was one of those decisions my family and I made without even giving it a second thought. We have always loved Moghul and we knew they wouldnt disappoint. Neeraj and Rajeev were so helpful throughout the process, giving us tips and suggestions on how to make our menu unforgettable, and that it was. Our guests couldnt stop taking about the food stations at our garba, wedding lunch, cocktail hour and reception. Moghul also did an impeccable vienesse dessert table that had little bite sized indian and American desserts, people walked away in awe. My family and I couldnt be happier or more greatful to Moghul for providing us and our guests amazing food and service for our wedding weekend. We cannot wait to get back to Moghul to personally thank Rajeev and Neeraj for all their help, and of course, to eat at their restaurant!
