Ill hold voicing my opinion when my online form filling is responded to by an appropriate medically trained person. If photos are required to be attached rather than ask for those in the middle of the form a notice at the very beginning could be flashed up to say that photos can be attached and to have them ready, so the photos can then be taken, be on the tablet, ready to attach further on in the form filling.

Most arrogent, jumped up, self ritious and unhelpful reception staff. Unacceptable level of care and no email address to raise concerns, or start an open communication about the care being received and how to best overcome the problems faced. If try to raise them to reception staff get spoken to like a child***thankyou for such an insightful response, looking forward to an uplifting experience phoning your reception staff***

Dr Weerutunga is great and the receptionists are also really helpful.

More arrogant, and rude answering by the reception staff, they’re not listening to my question and they hang up the phone on face really awful experience.

It a shame that good doctors try to work in such place.Huge problems with staff on reception, to the point where they bluntly talk down to you instead of providing data which doctor left at their resposibility. And its seems that no one care about the fact that this can literally put patient to hospital,or totally ruin their daily life as condition progressing.Also, if you still considering this practise be aware that its not a part of NHS West Lothian apparently, so you would need to deal with practice manager directly in case of..(well you will guaranteed get in case of something right away).Here is the catch, there wont be an email to contact him as its not on website, guess what youll need to do..call and get talked down on again and interrupted constantly by someone who has no name so they cant be taken to responsibility.Good luck everyoneUpdate: after talking over phone with one of the practice managers after they answered below, I get scheduled for another phone consultation with doctor 7.00 today and here I am waiting, trying to call practice- apparently they only open 8.00. It all start looking to me that Ladywell wishes to escalate situation from here.Please be very aware of this place people

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Reception staff are always very rude and its impossible to speak to someone with a brain cell.

Can not fault the doctors only thing that’s nice about the place. The surgery really needs to sort out the front of house staff that’s what is letting yous down.

I have found the service first class since presenting with some psychological concerns. Support and guidance from Dr Kaim and Dr Cohen has been very helpful in guiding me towards some resolutions. Sometimes its just great to have a professional lend a listening ear, albeit for a brief few moments. Thank you.

Impossible to get an appointment

I really don’t rate this doctors at all. Last year incorrectly giving me the all clear, despite my concerns, lead to me spending a week in hospital on a drip. Now, I’m having more issues that point to lack of expertise and professionalism. After giving an incorrect dosage, I had to visit hospital less than 24 hours after my appointment.They want you turned round and out the door as soon as possible, concerns and questions are generally ignored, with the doctor continually repeating themselves saying to come back if it gets worse. Call in two weeks later and they want you back in for exactly the same symptoms you reported in the first place. Continuous cycle.

I have used Ladywell west since the 1989,it was McMillan &Cormack back then,my own doctor sally Tothill retired over a year ago,the doctor I’m paired with now is a very pleasant lady!(I don’t think naming doctors is right as it’s a hard enough job) I’ve always been treated with respect and the reception staff are great,I think people forget how big the practice is,as for phones,they give u a choice to press 5 & hang up, there not miracle workers,but are part of the community, Personally I think there’s only comments if there bad! No one says anything when the machine works fine!👍

Doctors are fine, front of house receptionists really are terrible though. Called up to ask for a simple referral and the woman I spoke to was condescending and irritable for no reason.

I have been with ladywell for 34 years, and the last year has been the worst with them, and the worst time of my life. Unprofessional and very unhelpful with my situations, read all reviews before making a choice to come here, also know you are entitled to collect your medical notes from here which has proven staff to be unprofessional and really quite nasty about patients... Not to mention being untruthful.My family and I are in motion of moving to a more profesional and frindlier practice.Avoid at all costs.

The people answering the phone have made my already not great situation, most certainly worse. The attitude and sheer lack of interest is horribly noticable. Get it sorted!

Dr Williams is very helpful and understanding at dealing with sensitive issues, however Ive been treated horribly by the reception staff who seem very insensitive to the vulnerability that most people have when visiting the doctos. Its never a pleasant experience however they make it far worse than it needs to be.

Excellent surgery, all the doctors have time to listen and are helpful.

And were back to square one. Unhelpful staff, impossible to get an appointment before working hours, phone line not active until 15 mins later than advertised, not worth the hassle. Just switched to BUPA.

Call later in the week Call back later tomorrow morning at 8am No appointments until next week. these are the responses i get 90% of the time even when I call early in the AM. I leave this review after having my partner go through quite a horrible experience, and explaining to the receptionist the urgency of why she needs an appointment. We are fully booked We do not have emergency appointments She can drop in tomorrow morning (Though I told them she cant due to her last chance at an exam.) She was so insensitive, careless, and rude. My partners condition is so bad we rang 111, and they actually had to contact Ladywell via FAX, and then they suddenly magically had an emergency appointment! Its appalling! If I could leave zero stars I would! This place needs to be completely re-done.

Dr Williams is good, and the location is perfect for me. However, reception is rude and strangely almost fearful of being warm and engaging. And some of the other doctors are quite arrogant. I miss my previous GP practice (Bruntsfield) but sadly am out of cachement.

Very poor. Almost impossible to get through to make an appointment in the morning. When you eventually get through first appointment > 1 week away. Reception staff disinterested and unhelpful..
