Had a fun catch up with a group of friends last Saturday night.We decided to go for the buffet at $35 per person.There was a reasonable selection to choose from and everyone had plenty to eat. The food looked nice and tasted good as well.The staff were friendly and kept our drinks topped up.It wasn’t very busy which meant we could actually hear the others at our table.There’s limited street parking out front.

We came upon this Restaurant as we were looking for a dinner date Restaurant. After looking at the menu which is placed outside we chose to eat here. After beeing shown to our table we greeted by hostess who was wonderful and full of good info about the menu. When we chose our entree the waitress was quick to recommend based on what we chose to up sell $5 more a better choice and gratefully it was a wise choice allowing us to try other items we may not have chosen but loved and enjoyed.Our main course was beautifuk Chicken Corma tasting between sweet and salty but not over whelming to either side. The restaurant filled very quickly so would recommend booking or getting there early.Service on food and beverage was fast and our waitress made sure that we had enough time between entree and main so we were not over whelmed by food and could enjoy all of food.Would thoroughly recommend this wonderful Indian-malaysian Restaurant.

Contrary to every other Indian restaurant, Cinnamon Vic Park seems to be on a crusade to redefine what are acceptable spice levels for what should be standard curries to the point that they became inedible, at least for the dishes I ordered. Curries that should be mild in taste for example instead provide one the unique experience of feeling what it is like to have someone poke a lit blow torch into your mouth making sure your lips are included in the simulation. The naan bread though probably the largest and thickest I have ever seen tasted like someone made it with a few cups of sugar. It is amazing my mouth did not spontaneously produce great globules of oozing molten toffee. AVOID!

Has potential but needs significant improvement in some areas. Many tables were left uncleared - I had a booking but had to wait for the table to be cleared. This was a common thing - some waited over 15 mins for staff to clear an empty table. Staff took a long time to take our order. The curries and some rice arrived after a long wait. We were advised that the naan was coming. I was going to start eating when I realised I was given no cutlery. We ended up having to go to the buffet area to source our own cutlery. One naan came after wed half finished the meal and I was again advised the other was coming. The last naan came when there was almost nothing left. Terrible timing in the kitchen or perhaps very understaffed. Similarly, too few waitstaff in the restaurant. We ordered one glass of the house red, which was confirmed by the waitress. Unfortunately when we came to pay, the waitress told us they gave us a glass of red that was double the price as the house red was sold out. This wine was terrible - I dont believe theyd run out of the house wine and if they had in fact run out, they should have informed us of this prior to deciding to serve something else. Its lucky the second glass we ordered during our meal was forgotten. The curries were actually ok, but the rice and naan could be improved. Staff needs to improve on customer service and more staff need to be put on, otherwise theyll keep losing customers. A table of three walked out whilst we were there.

Well made mostly indian food with some malaysian dishes plus BYO wine

While the front of house staff were very friendly and professional (took the price of our bread off the bill when we complained), the food was overall really disappointing. Chicken was crazy dry and sauce sickly sweet. The paratha was doughy and thick and still raw in the middle (hence having it taken off our bill). The table water tasted like it had been stagnant for 6 months (had that gross fridge taste). The Goat Masala was pretty good but nevertheless I wouldnt recommend this place.

It may not look like much, but the food was amazing. We had all vegetarian meals and it was delicious and filling. In particular, excellent garlic naan and amazing chickpea dish with pomegranate seeds. Excellent value for money.

Went for dinner the other night and had possibly the best Dahl and Naan combo Ive ever had...and I eat an astronomical amount of Indian food. Affordable, good service and so delicious - we will definitely be back.

Spacious layout, friendly staff and freshly cooked tasty food. Ten of us went and they managed to get the orders all correct, that kind of thing rarely happens at other places. Repeat customer.

Got rice and the butter chicken. The rice was hard, the chicken was dry and the butter chicken sauce tasted overly creamy like it hadnt been cooked through properly. Not sure what happened because its not cheap food - $30 with a garlic naan.

A bit frustrating that I took the time and energy to explain to management that their menu prices were incorrect but they didnt believe me. So, I asked if it was a recent menu and was told it is the most recent menu. I then showed him my invoice and cross checked it with the menu indicating that the prices were different. He THEN told me it was the old menu! (FYI: there is NO new menu). The food is expensive and the portion sizes are small. The garlic naan had practically no garlic in it (even though I asked for extra garlic) and the butter chicken was 6/10 in my opinion. If the manager showed some respect and customer service, I might have given a better review. However, he did not apologise, nor try to make any amends. Mate, the least you can do is tell people that the prices have changed, you shouldnt have let me walk out the door as an unhappy customer; it reflects badly on you and the poor staff that have to work with you.

We ordered 3 curries, rice, naan. It was absolutely divine. Really great quality. Excellent balance of spices!

The partner a I tried out Cinnamon on Sat night and left wishing we hadnt. The service was the worst I have experienced in a long time and this is with very few other people in the restaurant. Im not sure if Uber Eats was getting priority, but we sure as hell werent. We finished our entree and were waiting a while for the main course before the waitress came and asked if we were ready for the main course, turns out it wasnt on its way at all, it then took quite a while before that arrived. The waitress placed our meals down and said she would go grab us some plates, she the proceeded to take another tables order while we sat there with no plates.We were never asked if we would like any more drinks or how the food was, to be honest, I dont think they cared!The food was pretty average, nothing to rave about.There wont be a return visit from us.

Love the food especially the butter chicken and naan. The saffron is fake and is orange like carrot juice but its tasty. Ive been here many times and keep coming back. Ive always liked the vibe and the tables are certainly slapable

Nice atmosphere, good food.I ordered takeaway, and I feel it was a tad pricey for the serves they give. I can’t say whether or not it’d be value for money if you dined in. When I went in to pick my food up, the place was nicely decorated, and atmosphere was buzzing!Overall, the taste was there so cant say it was a bad experience and next time will try dine in.

The only thing Ill recommend be changed is the chairs. The fabric has seen better days & my chair was full of crumbs. But the food was absolutely fantastic. I especially love the chilli mussels, goat curry & rice pudding. Great value for money. Will return despite the chairs.

Best food and delicious

Had the buffet. Food was nice but the rice was completely raw. Also, there was a cockroach under our table which didnt make the experience any more pleasant. The curries and naan were tasty, but the rice was extremely crunchy and raw which ruined the meal. However, service was very friendly.

Great staff I’ve only been here four times and they remember me, one in 2014, I went twice 2015 and now 2017 and they still remember me there lovely💝.I love the way they don’t hover over you. The staff have a great science of humour, great EnglishAnd don’t forget about the food. Just fantastic take my word for it.

WORST “food” (if you can call it that) I have ever tried in my life. I don’t even know where to start but all I can say is if you want traditional Indian food DO NOT go here. I’ve never experienced such terrible customer service either when explaining what was wrong with my meal. Thankful that Uber refunded us. This place serves delicious food. Tasty range of vegetarian and meat dishes. Desserts were delicious. Well priced. Will be back.

Overpriced menu items, very small portions, food were not as good as a few other Indian restaurants Ive dined at. However, staff were all very friendly and attentive. Staff could pay more attention to top up drinking water at the tables though. Would probably return based on the friendliness of the staff.

Had the buffet with my wonderful wife and great mate Chris. This is our favourite restaurant in Vic Park. The staff are excellent and the food has variety and flavour. You have us hooked!! (try the goat curry and naan).

Very disappointed with taste of food. Paneer curry was very sweet, Dal tadka was salty, Roti and Parthas were hard and dry. Food was served after an hour.Serving staff was very friendly and seating arrangement was very good for big groups.

Ive been a regular customer to Cinnamon for the past 10 years and its never disappointed. The staff are friendly, professional and the food is outstanding.Although now under a new manager, Cinnamon if anything has improved. Youre never waiting too long for a meal, nor do you feel rushed out the door.If youve never been to Cinnamon in Victoria Park, or just not been for a while I throughly recommend it.

My partner and i had Butter Chicken from here and it was the BEST i have ever had!! It is very sweet and creamy but thats the way we like it. It is our go too restaurant for Indian food

A terrible and irritating dining experience. Waited approximately one hour for ala carte meals, only to be informed (after that waiting time) that one dish we ordered was unavailable. Worst vegetarian biriyani I have tasted, consumed less than a quarter. People who ordered the buffet did not have plates into which to serve their food, forced to use saucers instead. Understaffed (two people serving) on a busy Friday night. Strongly recommend you dine elsewhere, particularly during peak times.

Buffet was excellent value. All dishes were fresh. Service was readily available.

Bad food and bad service. Arrived at 6.30 pm. Food served at 8.15 pm. Missed out entree. Missed out wine order. Did not come back to ask if we wanted dessert or coffee / tea. Very poor indeed. The curries were very ordinary. The chicken curry was very poor. Huge chunks of pre-cooked chicken put into a sauce. Not impressed.

Indian foods are available. Not very delicious but buffet covers good number of tasty menus to choose. I liked chicken wings, soup and desert.

Yesterday night, we went for the dinner. When we were in the middle of eating the first serve , an additional order for a few more breads/nans was placed. We waited for almost 30 minutes and no one came to ask. Finally, I went inside and told the staff that our order was not served. He came and said that it was by mistake and the waitress failed to communicate to the chef. We would get it for you in the next 5 minutes. Again, we waited for 10-15 minutes and finally could not finish the dinner. When I had finished washing , the waiter came and told that the order is ready now .It was about 9.45 PM and we had to go so we left. The lady waitress shamelessly wanted to charge for the additional order but I told her to take it out as we could not eat it due to the delay. She agreed and took out the bread from the take away parcel. SHe then emphasised that she would not be charging for the additional bread as if she was doing any big favour or tried to oblige us. I did not like the behaviour of the staff and would not recommend to visit this place. Poor services and the impolite behaviour by the staffI would like to give negative star to this place

Sensational. We had the Buffet. Everything on my plate was sooooo tasty.

The place was nice like the setting and the ambience. Their baby goat was excellent but the chilli chicken was super spicy. The pistachio kulfi was tasting artificial.

Food and service was very good ...would differently go there again

I had the lunch buffet and everything there was just spiceless. Every dish was below even the average standard of original recipies, yet people had been enjoying. Makes me wonder if they have ever eaten a nicely cooked indian meal. No bread was included in the menu, which gave people no choice but to eat everything with saffron rice. And the dessert, boiled white rice in milk, unbelievable.

The worst Indian food we have had today in this place .We ordered kashmiri polau and it was half cooked/ completely raw .Bagian bharta was so horrible and spicy .There was no such speciality in Chicken Chettinadu. It was just waste of money .Will never be back again. It was forced me to think , are they really know the taste of Indian dishes ?

The heated plate (to eat from) most most impressive and I was thinking 5 stars when I got it.......but after it sitting in front of me for what seemed an age of time it became a slightly disappointing gesture. However, the food was well presented and the service was excellent from Jody, Su and the kitchen staff. The cost was very acceptable through the Dimmi app and the atmosphere was ok with two large TVs with an Indian entertainment show running in the background.We will definitely visit again and try the renowned Goat dishes. I can only hope that the proprietor can take note of some of my comments as this local restaurant deserves to remain and prosper.
