Beautifully built temple with so many temples of different different god.But this place was to calm and peaceful at evening time.P.S- one can book AC AND NON AC rooms in Dharamshala of this temple at very cheap and decent rates.

This peaceful temple contains shrines dedicated to all the major Hindu deities. The main idol is of Lord Swaminarayan - an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. A towering flag-post/staff stands in front of the temple. The premises are spic and span. The marble inlay work on the floor is captivating. As we performed the pradakshina we were awe-struck by the detailed and meticulous carvings on the walls. A must-watch!

This beautifully designed Mandir is the legacy of Gunatitanand Swami . He played a prominent role in its construction, served as the mahant for forty years and provided a template for the administrative development of future religious establishments in the Swaminarayan Sampradaya. In 1826, along with other prominent paramhansas, he laid the foundation stone of the Junagadh mandir. As one of the earliest Swaminarayan mandirs in the region, the mandir at Junagadh would go on to become a prominent center of learning and spiritual pilgrimage. Taking into account the socio-religious landscape of Junagadh, Swaminarayan decided to appoint Gunatitanand Swami as the mahant (religious and administrative head) due to his leadership abilities and experience. Gunatitanand Swami played a significant role in shaping the administration of Junagadh Mandir.

I loved the Swaminarayan temple very much Loard Shree Swaminarayan looks like just he talks to you. The temple has also arrangement of accommodation to haunt with your family and friends. It is very near to River Gomti as well as Dwarkadhish temple.

First rated temple ,very colourful and the view of the Arabian sea can also be seen .

The north GatewayEditThe central gateway of the temple is artistic. It blends local, regional and British styles of architecture and sculpture. Marathi and Rajasthani folk cultures and costumes are evident on the gateway sculptors. The columns are engraved with vertical lining in Corinthian order. The top of the projected pavilions are ruminants of Mughal architecture. Statues of the women wearing frilled blouses and petticoats, carrying their kids on their waist depict the Gujarati women.[9] This central gate is made without taking any kind of measurements.Nar Narayan TempleEditThis is the heart of the temple complex. The temple was constructed as per scriptural norms with intricate carving in pure Burma-teak and constructed with sculptural art by depicting deities episodes, auspicious symbols and religious icons representing axiomatic religion and Indian culture. The temple is believed to be a valuable cultural heritage in the socio-religious history of Gujarat and India.[10] The images in this temple are of Narnarayan Dev in the centre, Radhakrishna Dev on the right, Dharmadev, BhaktiMata and Harikrishna on the left of the central hall. The images were made in Dungarpur and stone came from quarries in Himmatnagar and Dhrangadhra.[6] The temple is also known for the attractive dresses that drape the deities. Dresses for the central Narnarayan as well as RadhaKrishna images are changed seven times a day and are never repeated.[5]Akshar BhavanEditInside the templeBesides the gods in the main temple, an idol in the form of a child, Ghanshyam Maharaj in white marble has been installed on the ground floor. Personal items of Swaminarayan have been displayed for viewing by the visitors on the ground as well as first floor. The southern side of this building is known as Shree Tejendra Bhuvan and houses visiting pilgrims.[9]Rang MaholEditAn idol of Ghanshyam Maharaj has been installed in a place called the Rang Mahol in the temple where Swaminarayan stayed during his visits to Ahmedabad. A wood carved life-size idol of Swaminarayan in standing sambhang position, was installed here fifty years after the construction of the temple. It is one of the finest specimens of wooden art sculpting in Gujarat.[9]Temple for women (West)EditThe Haveli (Mansion) to the west of the temple used to be the official residence of Acharya of the Narnarayan Dev Gadi. Now, the ground floor of the front side, houses the offices and the inner portion accommodates the residency of the Samkhya Yogiwomen (ladies who have taken celibacy vows and devoted their life to the temple). In the inner temple, the Gadiwalla (the Acharya Maharajshris wife & spiritual leader of the women in the Swaminarayan Sampraday) holds religious assemblies solely for the benefit of the women. An idol of Ghanshyam Maharaj has been installed in this temple and is served by the Sankhya Yogi women devotees.[9]This mansion is decorated with chandeliers, suspended lamps and large mirrors as it was supposed to be the residence of the Acharya. The brackets of the pillars in the portico as well as arches have been adorned with carvings in geometrical designs and a variety of flower and creeper motifs.[9]

Very Close to Dwarikadheesh Mandir in dwarka, just walking distance. Very nice and clean place to stay and be relegious. A very beautiful temple is built in the centre of the campus. Sea Shore is also at walking distance. You can get homelike lunch and dinner here, but timings are strictly limited, but you must taste it. Local markets and eating points are very close.

A very beautiful Temple located on the bank of Gomti River and Arabian Sea Coast in Dwarka Gujarat India. I snapped many beautiful photos of Shree Swaminarayan Mandir and surrounding area which I am posting here with this review so that general public may see the beauty of every statue present in the Temple. The carving on the building of the temple is indescribable in writing and words because of it’s uniqueness. I must say and advise visitor to must see Shree Swaminarayan Mandir when ever comes to Dwarka Dham.

Beautiful temple located in a very calm area of Dwarka city. If you have taken a guide for a city tour, this spot would make in the list. There is a beautiful small temple for entire Ganpati family with his two wives Riddhi and Siddhi alomg with two soms labh and shubh.Also, dont miss to check out back of the temple, it gives a glimpse of vast Arabian sea. Built by people following Swaminarayana dharma, this temple holds a significance meaning to ones spiritual life. The place welcomes all devotees & pilgrims alike who come to visit Dwarkadish Temple. Built in the center along with buildings of accomodation around it, this place also has a ground for conducting Satsang/Kathas & a Goushala (Cow/Buffalo shed). There is a separate building for cooking food for devotees & restroom which is opposite to it. Theres also ample parking space and even tuk-tuk/autos come inside the premises to drop the devotees & the ones who come with their own vehicle.

Wonderful holy place.. they provide full dish gujarati thali in just 50 Rs.. you should try once if u are visiting Dwarka.

Nar Narayan dev Gadi Sanstha Swaminarayan temple near to Dwarka beach. You can get lunch in temple. Ghanshyam Maharaj Murti and many god murtis are there. Peace ful garbhgruh. very less people visits. Location is very good. In pradakshina , you can see view of Sea. Prasad also available. Accommodation is there. but I am not sure about booking and amount. Kindly call there for enquiry. Nice Temple and Sculpture in temple. Jai Swaminarayan .
