Saw Kinky Boots at Paramount Theater in Aurora, Illinois.First, The Venue: This is a Theater experience you do not want to miss. Its an elegant old-time Art Deco-style playhouse. Spectacular interior. There are no bad seats.Second, The Play, Kinky Boots: I didnt know anything about this play. It was wonderful. The Leads were amazing: the entire cast sang in full throttle harmony. Sets, costumes, music (full Orchestra), lighting and acoustics were as good as any plays Ive seen in Chicago or Broadway.If you are put off by men in drag, this is probably not a good match for your taste. Ive never seen Drag Queens perform. It was a mind blowing experience. LOVED this show.Highly recommend.

We had a fabulous time last night at the Paramount Theater ! Beautiful venue. Vaccination cards and IDs were checked outside before allowing entry. Staff wore masks and made sure patrons were masked. Theater was spotless as were the washrooms. Stage was large enough for all to see. Lightning was good,audio was good. The play was awesome! We saw KINKY BOOTS! Costumes ,scenery,and actors were fabulous!! You could tell the actors were glad to be there and enjoying themselves. Would gladly pay to see again!

I have always loved going to shows at the Paramount.I am a subscriber and was so happy that they were able to open again. I felt bad during the pandemic that none of the production staff were able to work. I was slightly worried that the theatre would no longer exist. I was super excited to get the emails saying that they would reopen with Kinky Boots being the first show.I was not happy to see that we could only attend the shows if fully vaccinated and would need to wear masks during the whole visit except when eating or drinking. I got over myself and decided I still wanted to go.I needed to find other people to go with, because the person I normally attended the shows with was not fully vaccinated. She was not happy. She loves the theatre and we joined originally years back because it is a treat to be able to attend a professional quality show without the hassle of going into the city.The process to get into the theatre was not difficult. You had to show your vax card(1st for me), id and your printed or digital ticket.We got our drinks, there was not food(really missed my cookie).We Loved the Show!!!! Kudos to everyone, I saw it twice and it was fabulous both times. I had to look in the program to see if they were really men. The talent of the actors, set design, music, etc. is phenomenal!

My first time there and I was really impressed. The seating was comfortable and spacious with cup holders at each spot. They also had a bar with specialty drinks themed.for the show. The show I saw was Kinky Boots and it was amazing! I will definitely go back!

We came here to see Kinky Boots but come here often. The shows are consistently of high quality and fun. The ushers, ticket takers, and bar staff deliver fast and personalized service. I highly recommend coming to see a show here!

The inside of the Paramount is amazing, from the lobby to the theater, the art deco just explodes throughout. The staff are all very nice, and the concessions are reasonably priced. The vast majority of the plays weve seen here are exceptional (newsies and wizard of oz were off Broadway caliber). Glad to be back to see kinky boots. Strict COVID protocols, no food available

A amazing theater with a cast who is phenomenal. Did the Premier experience which is so worth it. Yes, covid test confirmation/immunization required along with wearing a mask but amazing show.

TLDR; go see Kinky Boots!! I feel so incredibly lucky to be able to experience local theatre at the Paramount. Ive been a Broadway series subscriber for years, but Kinky Boots completely blew me away. It was one of the best shows Ive seen at the Paramount yet. Thank God that live theatre is back, safely! I appreciate the Paramounts vaccine and mask mandates. It made me feel completely safe being back at the theatre. Thanks to the cast and staff for an amazing first show back!

The Broadway Series is outstanding. We get season tickets every year and are never disappointed. The theater is beautiful, neat, clean and the staff is great.

What a wonderful experience starting with the valet parking. The staff at will call was very efficent and friendly. The theater is immaculate and GORGEOUS. We saw Kinky Boots and hated to see it end. Fabulous music, performers, corigraphy, costumes. A MUST SEE. IT WILL LIFT YOU UP.

Weve been going to the musicals at the paramount for years now and they do SUCH an amazing job! Last nights performance of kinky boots was no exception. None of our normal party of 6 knew anything about the storyline and we all loved the standout job by the lead actors & the supporting cast. Go see it if you get a chance!

We went to the performance on Wednesday, September 1 for kinky boots. It was excellent!! The choreography was over the top and the singing by the two male leads was exceptional! I would go to see this performance again! I saw this in Chicago several years ago and this was way better!

They enforced a protocol of showing proof of vaccination PLUS a requirement to wear masks regardless of vaccine status. Good for them!The show was wonderful - weve been there many times and have always had a good experience.

We have been subscribers since they started their Broadway series. We have not been disappointed in any of the shows. Four amazing performances a year and not a bad one in the bunch. They have a great location with extremely low prices for the quality you get. They rival... Let me rephrase that they are better than any show you will see in downtown Chicago AND you pay a fraction of the price. It is a no-brainer.

Love this theater, but very disappointed in the vaccine requirements for shows. Will be asking for a refund. Its a shame too, since my daughter and I were very much looking forward to the Kinky Boots performance we missed before the world went askew.

Paramount is getting started back up after COVID-19 took it the 2020 be season. Except for one little technical hiccup, Kinky Boots was excellent. Been here for many other shows and its always a delight. Recommend.

Restored old-style theater that hosts live shows. Recently saw Kinky Boots (the musical). Access for handicap may be difficult for some as the grades are quite steep.

Great theater with a lot of history. There was a lot of big-name performers that toured here. I went on a ghost tour and this was one of the stops and they explained several sightings that have occurred. It’s a bit run down since it’s very old but a great place to attend. I’ve added a few pictures of a great Prince tribute band.

Paramount is the best theatre to go to! Every show I go to see there is always very fun and interacting to be apart of as an audience member watching it, the staff there are very respectful and welcoming when they greet you at the doors to come in the theatre, and the teachers they have at their school of the arts are phenomenal. When I did The Producers Broadway Intensive there I felt like I was getting the full experience of being an actor apart of a Broadway show! The teachers and leader of the class all made me feel welcomed as a Paramount member and I really got a lot out of the class. I would recommend their Broadway intensives and other classes they provide to anyone who would like to take that next step in their acting career that will help them to potentially get into any show that they may audition for there.

I am speechless about the shows they put on. This was my 3rd show to see there. Each time the shows get better and better. The people are just wonderful. Especially Melissa in group sales. I personally went back with a girlfriend to see Legally Blonde for the second time! So worth it

Love this place!! They put on FANTASTIC performances and it’s absolutely beautiful. The one thing they could do, is add another bathroom. The lines at intermission are a mile long because there’s only two. Other than that, I absolutely love seeing shows here. Never a disappointment! I highly recommend seeing shows here. My mom and I have gone numerous times and will continue to do so. It’s becoming a special tradition for us.

Amazing venue, amazing show, well organized--- loved it!!! Theres no designated parking for the Paramount, but theres plenty of parking within reason (free and paid). Staff was friendly and helpful, comfortable seating, really not a bad seat in the house! Will definitely come again.

Me and my husband are subscribing Broadway shows for the third season already. We also bought couple of the subscriptions as a present, and people were greatly satisfied. Most of the shows are top notch! You would most likely pay three times more, if it would be downtown based performance. You can also find plenty of free parking spots in a walking distance from the venue. I would definitely recommend for everyone to check out this venue. It is totally worth it!

Ive come to this magnificent theater for three different productions now and every time Im absolutely floored by the professionalism of everyone in the cast, The orchestration, and every single detail that goes into making a theater experience what it is. This theatre was beautiful inside! Went to see Beauty and the Beast and this tree had ornaments from the movie, what a great touch. The show, beyond amazing!! My kids were captivated the whole time. For someone who grew up loving this movie, I waS happy it was perfectly aligned. The singing too was just amazing. I will take my family back for more shows when we visit town again.

You will not be disappointed here! I have seen two productions now, Legally Blonde and now Beauty and the Beast. Every person involved in putting on this show brings passion for the art of theater and a level of Broadway professionalism. The sets are amazing, and they have a live orchestra!Bravo, bravo, bravo!

Stunningly gorgeous theatre!Periodically over the last 25 years we have been attending productions at Paramount, but it was just this past year that we became subscription members as we have enjoyed absolutely everything we have seen here over the years. The theater is in the latest phases of replacing the original seating with more comfortable and spacious seats that still fit in perfectly with the traditional decor. This was a much needed and well deserved upgrade to the setting which in no way would be noticed by a new theater goer. The Paramount is a business casual attire type of place with a classy feel; dressing up for the evening makes the evening that much more special and memorable. The calendar of events are easily accessible on Paramounts website. And purchasing tickets through the website is extremely easy and user-friendly. The price per show is insanely affordable, and a subscription to an entire year of shows (four shows beginning in September) gives the buyer a nice discount on the package. At the time of this review, there are other benefits to being a season ticket holder as well - please see the website, it is a truly phenomenal deal for a wonderful, memorable night out! The office and theatre staff are all friendly, courteous, helpful, and professional. The theatre and bathrooms are pristine. Parking is available on street around the theatre as well as off street and a few short blocks away in the parking garage ($), however its suggested you consult Paramounts website for assistance with parking.The Paramount has many different shows and various other entertainment offerings available throughout the year. It is not simply an old-timey theatre, one trick pony offering plays - it is so much more!

Just saw the lovely production here of The Wizard of Oz. Top notch in every way. Beautiful facility with a full bar available. Everything you would expect for a night out at a play. Slightly on the expensive side, tho.

Love the nostalgia of this theater. Seats were great. Loved that I could buy a hot drink and take it into the theater in a cold day. The show was wonderful. We saw the Picture.

Great old theatre

A fantastic place to see a show! Great seats no matter where you are, the food and drinks are totally reasonable and they have a really big selection. The staff is always so sweet! And of course every show we have seen here has been nothing short of incredible. Love it especially during Christmas when all the decorations are up, and the tree is themed, makes for super great night out pictures!

This place is amazing! We went to go see Beauty and the Beast( I highly recommend). It was my first time attending a show and I gotta say I was so impressed by everything/everyone. The employees there were all pleasant , helpful and kind. The inside of the theater was beautifully decorated for the holidays bonus: they had carolers inside! There was also local art displayed that you were able to purchase. I was completely blown away by how well executed the performance was. The actors were all so talented, professional and exciting!!! I can not say enough good things about this place. I highly recommend you taking anyone to see a show. Just wow!!!

My first time seeing a show at Paramount Theater was The Greatest Showman sing-along. Finding parking was a little tricky because the parking garage was full, but we ended up finding free street parking nearby. The theater itself is very nice and the seats were comfortable. However, the star of the show was the staff! My daughter needed a drink in the middle of the show, and an employee in the lobby walked is over to the bar and helped us request water in cups. Thanks to Jenna G for great service and all the other friendly employees. Will definitely be back!
