Outstanding doctor! I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Maxa or his office staff. They are very caring, concerned and professional. I HIGHLY recommend.

My husband and I have both used Dr. Maxa and his office for years. We have always been very pleased with he and his nurse practitioners. They are very knowledgeable and very caring. I have referred many friends his way and will continue to do so. I always feel like the staff really listens and truly wants to help.

If I could give more stars I would! I have been going to this practice for a couple of years and they are excellent! The front staff is so friendly and accommodating, they greet their patients as if they are family. I’ve been able to see both doctors and a few of the nurse practitioners and all are knowledgeable and professional. Dr. Maxa is very personable and takes the time to talk to you and really listen to you and his nurses are great! He definitely goes above and beyond for his patients and it shows! Even if you have to wait a little, trust me it’s worth it. Great doctor, great staff and I highly recommend.

I have been going to this office for 3 years and love everyone there especially Laura the NP. She has truly gone over and above to help me solve all my medical issues. She found things on a CT report that a specialist missed and saved my life because of this. I am forever grateful for her.

Terrible follow up!!!!!!! My 86 year old Dad had a stroke this past weekend and was seen by Dr. Maxa on Monday and had an MRI on Tuesday. Weve called numerous times and cannot get anyone to call us back. Extremely frustrated!!!

Dr. Maxa and his team are amazing! In my opinion from the time you walk in the door of this practice you are treated like family. The care you are given is second to none and the staff is so very kind and always willing to go above and beyond. I wish I could give even more stars!

Dr. Maxa is one of the nicest doctors I have ever known. Five years ago He was examining my wife and told her to go to a specific specialist because he heard something in her back. What he heard was lung cancer. She lived for 5 years with that terrible disease, but at least we had 5 years together. The office staff has always been very polite to me. He has been our doctor for 15+ years. Would not change.

This doctor is the best. Asks good questions and has a good understanding of medical conditions and issues.

Our family has seen Dr. Maxa for 15 years. We recommend him to our friends all the time. He is always polite and on top of any questions we have regarding our health. The office staff is friendly and professional. He has a lab on site which is very convenient and the phlebotomists are excellent.

I would not recommend this practice where front office people are setting the policies and blocking your route to the Dr. I had one interaction with Dr. Maxa and I found him to be knowledgeable and friendly. However, I can tell you that this office has a big problem with physical exams that all insurance programs promote or even require. At my work to stay in the platinum wellness program you have to have an annual physical exam. I called to schedule one for my wife and myself and since my wife was a new patient, they would not see her without a paid for office visit first, even though she has no ailments or health issues. It seems this office practice has fallen into the trap of see the doctor, get a pill, pay the bill and go away and come back when you need a refill. Doesnt work for people who are healthy.

I am completed disappointed wit the level of professionalism I have received from the office practice at this facility. I have an on going medical condition. I have called multiple time to talk to Ashley and other office staff and they are very rude and continuously hand up on me. I have asked for the office admin to call me. I have also requested for Dr. Laura and Dr Maxxa to call me. To this day no one has called and nothings has gotten resolved. Extremely Disappointed! !

Dr. Maxa has been my physician for 15 years. His staff has always been friendly, caring and professional. Dr. Maxa is the best!! He is the best internal medicine doctor in Georgia, in my opinion. He has taken very good care of me and I thank him and his staff! I highly recommend his practice.

Dr Maxa has been my personal physician for almost 8 years now. He has been on top of my medical issues, Recommending specialists as needed. I highly recommend Dr Maxa. His office staff is considerate and always helpful.

Ridiculous! New patient, just tried to make an appt. Was told neither of the doctors had any openings until sometime in May!? Thats at least 2 and a half months away! I read a couple other reviews about difficulties with normal routine annual exams, but I wasnt trying to schedule a routine appt. I was offered the chance to try to schedule something with a NP. Have no idea how long I would have waited to be seen by one because I decided right then and there this is definitely not the kind of medical practice I want to deal with.

Dr. Maxa is a brilliant physician. I was very impressed when I read up on his educational background. He is pre-med from the University of Notre Dame and attended medical school at Vanderbilt University. Upon several visits with him, it is easy to see why he was accepted and attended such prestigious universities. Dr. Maxa is very up to date on current trends in medicine, including pharmaceutical management and encouraging a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Maxas bedside manner is very compassionate and his staff members are very friendly and very knowledgable about insurance issues. I am so impressed with him; I have sent members of my family to this practice and have widely referred him to close friends and acquaintances!

Terrible service indeed. I visited this clinic on July 28, 2017 for an annual physical. Worth mentioning, is that this was my first visit to this clinic. Prior to my visit, I called and SPECIFICALLY told them that I wanted no other extra service, besides whatever they offer on routine annual physicals.Well, they really didnt heed to my request. On my day of visit, the receptionist wasnt very friendly and polite, to say the least. She came off as very cold and unfriendly in her interactions with me. When time came for me to see the doctor, I was offered an Physician Assistant (PA). Mind you, I chose this clinic as a result of feedback I had received on Dr. Maxa, not this PA.During my visit, this PA (though friendly) would ask a plethora of questions, then leave the patient room for a few moments - as if, to go seeK advice from a real doctor on what to do.When time came for me to leave, I was slapped with an unexpected bill for $175 because according to the lady who took my payment, the answers to my questions altered my visit type from a routine visit to A regular doctors visit. Thus, my insurance wasnt going to pay for the service.I asked her a million times if that $175 was going to be the last bill I ever received from her. Of course, she lied when she said yes. A few weeks later, I received another silly bill for $127. I called back on 8/30/17 to inquire about that bill, but only to be given some asinine explanation which made no sense.Terrible service, unfriendly employees, and ridiculous billing. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLINIC!!!!

I took a family member with special needs today to the practice and everyone was very attentive and accommodating. Very nice!

The office staff is the best I have ever dealt with. Do yourself a favor and find out for yourself.

I have been seeing Dr. Maxa for many years and I would not even consider going anywhere else. He is very good!
