Satisfied. And the miso soup was top quality. It would have been good if the squid was not in small pieces. And I probably shouldnt have expected free side dishes which is a theme in Korean and Korean restaurants in some countriesPretty good for Dublin

14 of us went to Hailan on a Saturday night. It was a wonderful time together for all, including my 8-year-old. The food is tasty and in great quantity -- would suggest you to order one portion to share if you are not very hungry. The staff has a rather pleasant charm and is helpful whatever you ask for. Will definitely go back again!

This place is situated near Temple bar, one of the busiest and well known places in Dublin city centre. The food here is great for people who love spicy, mid spicy and tangy flavors. The kimchi is the best here in all of Dublin, and also must try. I had the kimchi tuna soup and its more than filling for a single person. The servers are sweet and friendly. Hit the place yall, they are worth it..

I visited this restaurant with my foreigner friends and it was first time to eat Korean food. I worried about that if they like or not but they really enjoyed food and I was so happy. To be honest, for me, it was not really delicious. I didn’t feel like original Korean food. But it’s alright because my friends like these food!!

While it was very empty when we were here on a Saturday afternoon, the food was quite tasty and the prices were decent. The staff were really kind and helpful. The miso soup was the highlight of the dishes we had. The bibimbap lacked some kimchi and seasoning, but other than that I would recommend this restaurant if you are looking for some decent Korean food.

The food is good, but they dont explain what it is. It is not specifically just Korean food, it is varied, there is Chinese and Japanese food, then it is difficult to choose, if you are looking only Korean food is not recommended.

I went here for lunch with a friend. I had Seafood Bibimbap, Homemade Kimchi and Miso soup. She had fried rice and Miso soup. The foods taste good but my Bibimbap barely have seafood in it. I took away some Kimchi because it is nicer than the ones in the shop elsewhere.

The pork meat is just so so, tastes basic, very oily. The gyozas were good, considering these are ready made from the supermarket cant go wrong.Miso soup was good, ingredients were on point. The kimchi was just sour and bad. There was free water, lunch special, relatively cheap (9,90€). So you pay for what you get, cheap meal, cheap quality.

I’ve been eating Korean food for 20 years. Never had a bad meal till now. Worst Korean food I have ever had. The Bibimbap came with literally nothing but chicken bones and not at all as usually put together where the ingredients/rice are being properly caramelized from the bottom when turned over. The miso soup while fine and good had to wait to cool down to drink from the bowl because the long stem spoons they want you to use are ridiculous. Maybe this was a one off for them. Better luck next time.

If I had to recommend a place for Korean food, this would be it. The meat was cooked well, noodles were amazing and the staff were courteous. The ambiance of the place is decent. Its not really an expensive place either, you get great food and its worth every penny.I have not tried the Japanese cuisines yet so Ill withhold my judgment for those dishes. To conclude, Id say if youre in Dublin and youre craving Korean food, Hailan Restaurant should be on your list.

Oh, I wish I could say something positive but unfortunately I cant - place is not clean with alarming, unpleasant smell attacking from the entrance. Everything inside is badly worn with suspected layer of fat sticking from the air. Finally going to food - OMG I really hope this isnt real Korean food! Rubbery, suspicious items in my soup, giant pumped (looking like re-sprayed blue) mussels and insane amount of magic salt made my tongue to go numb for hours after.Ill never go back or recommend but you can try it if youre brave enough ;]

Ive been to Korea a few times and this is the most authentic Korean food Ive had in Ireland; served by Korean staff. The fact that the only other diners present at the time I went were Korean is a great sign of the authenticity.Be warned, Korean food arrives very hot so give it time to cool down. Korean food is also spicier than Indian food at times so make sure to confirm with the waiter if you are unsure. For me, the kimchi hot pot was perfect; but it may blow the head off some.

Terrible food and awful staff. The manager spent more time playing games on his phone than making sure customers were looked after. My wife got a seafood soup which was hot water (didnt even seem to have stock in it) with two mussels and nothing else. Mine was an extremely tasteless pork dish. When we told him we were not happy with our food his response was what do you want me to do about it. This was the point we decided we were leaving to go somewhere else. (Ended up in pitt bros around the corner, a much better option)

Ordered shellfish and chicken dish for takeaway. Even they have pos machine, they still recommend you to use cash. The seafood was absolutely rubbish- tasteless, just boiled with water and put instant noodle sauce on it and it cost 15 euro! The chicken’s colour was so weird that it looked like mixed with some paint. Totally waste of money and time. Will not go again and don’t recommend anyone to go.
