I had my daughter get a haircut at this place and she got lice in her hair. No one in my family has ever had lice but my daughter got them from this place.

This was my first time taking any of my kids here, I used to go to Cookie Cutters many years ago, and have since pretty much just went wherever was the most convenient like Great Clips or Saturdays. Well, today I went to Great Clips to get my 2-year-old sons haircut and when he was too terrified to even sit in the chair, the stylist suggested Funky Scissors. So I instantly got their website to check them out and even made an appointment for 1 hour later which gave me enough time to feed the kids and drive over. I am so glad that I ended up there! It was easy to make an appointment and convenient that there was same day availability. The staff was so friendly to my son that was getting his hair cut and even my son that was just along for the ride. And it was even cheaper than I expected! Win win all around! 😍 I will definitely be back!
Even with scheduling only one parent is allowed in. While other establishments allow both parents.Edit 2/24/2021 Funky Scissors- Your reply is snarky and cold. Their website for booking can be a bit confusing. Most of the staff are very wonderful. Would prefer being able to choose the stylist while booking not just given any as the only option.
The haircuts themselves are fine as are the stylists but the website for booking is HORRIBLE. . It is also very difficult to book two children at one time because you have to book one appointment before you can book the other and you have no way of knowing if you will get them both in at the same time. It also has issues when trying to check out continuously. My girls love getting hair cuts here, but we might have to try somewhere else because the website is so frustrating and you cant just call to book an appointment.

Took our son here just a few days ago. We were impressed! Very clean and our child wanted to stay. Fun seats for the kids. They have screens in their mirrors for kids to watch while they get a haircut. We were very happy with our visit.
Great place to bring young kids to get a hair cut. They have great staff and are very good at cutting your childs hair the way you want it. The kids get to choose which vehicle they want and what movie to watch. It is great.

We cant say enough good things about Funky Scissors! We took our 2 year old daughter here for her very first haircut and they made it such a special and enjoyable experience! She loved the special seats and got to pick her favorite show to watch. Alyssa (the stylist) even braided her hair when she was done. Even more special- our daughter got her little nails painted pink, which was included. Such a welcoming and fun atmosphere for little ones and as a parent I really couldnt ask for more! We will definitely be bringing our little boy here when he needs his first haircut as well!

First of all, we were ridiculously late because of traffic, and they were so kind and understanding. Jill cut my son’s hair. She was great, especially under the circumstances that my child acts like he is being seriously injured by getting his hair cut. Every one was great, and then they give him parting gifts which made him happy enough that he didn’t want to leave. I will return, and highly recommend.
My kids love going to Funky Scissors! They are of course big fans of picking their own car chairs, watching TV, balloons and toys, and our daughter loves getting her nails painted after her cut. Its such a fun experience for them! The salon is also clean and super cute inside. And most importantly, we have always been happy with their haircuts! Highly recommend!!
They are amazing with kiddos especially those that are special needs. My sons loves it. The only issue is that there is always a wait and appointments are hard to come by.

Kids love going here! Shows to watch and cars to sit in for the little ones and video games for the older kids. My daughter gets her hair braided, glitter hairspray and her nails painted which she loves and my son gets to play video games. My son went to see Jill the other day and she was great. They even give out balloons, lollipops and little toys. Definitely worth the trip!
Great haircut, friendly staff, and they are handling the covid-19 procedures nicely. Timia cut my son’s hair and did a great job, she was so warm and friendly. They make it a fun experience for kids, especially with the fun parting gifts. Will definitely be back!
My daughter loves this place she gets her hair done even gets braids and sparkles and has her nails painted the ladies are always nice and treat her very well she gets to sit in a cool car of her choice And watch her favorite shows or theres even a spot where you can play video games. We had our first visit to Funky Scissors today with Bree and Jill! This was my 20 month old sons fourth haircut. Our previous experiences at other places were getting progressively worse. I was concerned that haircuts were going to become an upsetting process. I explained as much and Bree was wholly understanding, patient, flexible and calm with him. She graciously adjusted through the visit to accommodate our needs. Jill made a point to help as well to ensure that greatest level of comfort and success. We are so grateful to have experienced a win!! We look forward to returning and are confident that each subsequent visit will only get better and better with the familiar faces of our new friends. The staff here are excellent! They are so great with kids! When my son started coming here he was a bit nervous but the women who took care of us were very patient and kind and knew how to get his haircut done quickly (and well)! Over a few visits hes gotten used to the environment and he loves sitting in the cars to get his haircut! Yesterday I had an appointment but we had a change in our schedule and showed up an hour early. I was having a rough day so it was extra appreciated that they were able to accomodate us right away! Weve now been here several times and its been a fantastic experience every single time- this place excels at customer service. While their focus is on kids, they do adult haircuts as well. Jill does a fantastic job with my hair and I highly recommend her! Though I don’t have kids of my own, I love seeing how the staff members interact with them during haircuts. Plus the kids get to watch movies or play video games while they get their hair cut, which is a nice touch and must help put nerves at ease. Wish this place existed when I was little!

We saw Miss Amber tonight and she was great. I was being indecisive and she helped me out with some suggestions and my son’s hair turned out awesome.
We have been going to this location for over a year now. All the workers love my son and greet him right when he walks in. He absolutely loves sitting in the cop car. The workers are so amazing because they will always give my son a sucker to distract him while he is getting his hair cut. Jill especially is one of our favorites. Highly recommend!!
Staff is very friendly and sensitive to children. Kids love the cartoons and cars to sit in. Balloons and toys are a great idea. Bree is wonderful with my grandson.
Symphony has been doing my hair for quite awhile and all I can say is she is an amazing stylist. Amazing with children and does wonderful adult cuts as well. Would recommend to anyone.

Took our 2 daughters here for the first time a few weeks ago and couldnt have been happier! Both girls went to Bree and she was great with them. They really enjoyed being able to pick where they sat and what hairstyle they got after their hair was cut. They got the princess treatment and had their nails painted as well. They were thrilled! We will definitely be back!

I took my daughter there for a simple trim and her stylist, Symphony, treated her like royalty! We got a simple trim quick and fast that she loves! On top of that she got a glittler shimmer in her hair (washed right out the following bath), played video games, her nails polished, and a small gift to take home. She had such a great time and Symphony did a great job making sure she was comfortable and happy. Love this place.
My kids love Funky Scissors! They get to sit in cars while they get their hair cut while they watch their favorite show on Netflix. My daughter loves getting sparkle spray in her hair when shes done as well as a mini-cure with her favorite nail color. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and wonderful with kids.

We just love Funky Scissors. We have been coming since they open and just love it. Each hair stylist is wonderful with kids. Bree has done my kids hair for over 6 months and they will not go to one else. Highly recommend that you go there for kids haircut.

We just had our 7 year old’s birthday party here! It was wonderful! Hair, nails, makeup, disco ball dancing on a stage- what more could a little girl want?! The staff was great and the girls had a blast!
Up until our last visit it was great. My sons hair looks terrible, the woman was holding his head and getting very frustrated. My son is just like any other 4 y/o boy and he knows how to sit still. Most of the staff is GREAT with the kids not this woman. My husband did not take her name only that she has bright red hair. Ive seen her before and shes not handled many kids well.

I took my 3-year-old daughter here for her first haircut and it was a great experience. She was scared and shy at first but Symphony, the stylist, warmed her right up with a lollipop and cartoons. By the end of the visit, she didn’t want to leave!

My husband always takes our son to get his haircut. It’s kind of their thing. This place does such a wonderful job. The one time I did take him the girl was nice and patient. She took her time and didn’t hurry. The last kids place we took him to tried to send him home with a mullet. Then wanted to refuse to fix it until I refused to pay and have a relative fix it. Love this place.

Amber cut my sons hair and with little direction she made his hair look great! She even cut in a lightning bolt and gave me tips on how to make it look even cooler.

Emily Clark has been cutting my hair for years, shes an amazing beautician, pays very close attention to detail and makes sure her customers are happy! Its a great place to bring your kids, the staff is super nice and knows how to have fun! They have a lot of activities for kids, including Xbox and cool little seats shaped into cars! I love this place! i went there to follow our hairstylist pal brianna. my six-year-old daughter and i both only get our hair cut by her, so of course we went to check it out! we all love it there—even my three-year-old son. he doesn’t like to get his haircut by anyone but me (yet), but i think he’s warming up to the place. the set up is wonderful, especially the tv screens in the mirrors! the location is great too. looking forward to more visits.
I love the atmosphere here! They have TVs in their mirrors so the kids are entertained by their favorite cartoons (if possible)!! I think there should be a more efficient way of doing things bc kids are unpredictable and dont always corporate with timeframes. I had an appointment but I didnt couldnt get there till 30 minutes after and had to go on a walkin list. Now I appreciate the walk in list, but there should be someone designated to walkins so the wait is not too bad. I waited over an hour to get in the chair compared to someone who was a true walkin (who came before me) to get in the chair before me. If they have someone designated to just girls and just boys that would make things better as well bc girls take longer than boys most times when they get the braid and their nails painted. Just something to consider. I loved my sons haircut and his stylist who was completely honest about what she could and couldnt do! Also, she was very gentle with my son and he went to sleep durning the haircut!! Before he did he was medium compliant with everything, but Katie (I think) did wonderful!!!

We have taken my son here for the past 1.5 year and have always had an awesome experience! In the beginning, my son would be super skirmy during the cut and somehow they still managed to do an excellent haircut. They have an amazing setup for kids from the fun cars to sit in, their choice of cartoon on the tv to keep them occupied, and the great rewards at the end! Jill does awesome, and I have had others who now I can’t rememebr their names but everyone has been wonderful!
First few experiences were good, this last visit was not. Personally I think its all a out who is servicing you. Sometimes they forget theyre dealing with little kids.Felt rushed and the cut was not at all what we wanted.
I had heard great things about Funky Scissors so we took our son to get his first haircut there. Long story short our experience was not great we didnt get what we wanted out of it and my sons haircut was not done properly. However, I spoke with the owner and she fixed everything for us.

Made an appointment the day of online and someone called to confirm it with me hours beforehand but when I showed up (5 mins early) 2 other kids had appointments for the same time and were waiting because all of the hairdressers were still working on other kids. Reception kept saying itll just be a few more minutes. Finally after 17 minutes after my appointment time it was our turn. No apologies, no thank you for your patience. I woke my kiddo up from a nap to bring him in on time.The hairdresser missed a lot of hair in the back that I didnt see until we got home. So I had to fix it myself. Cute place, but we wont be coming back.

We visited Funky Scissors for the first time today and had a great experience! It was my sons (16 months) first experience with a professional cut and he cried the entire time which I fully expected, but he still walked out with an awesome cut! Bri was very patient and did a great job cutting and clipping a moving toddlers head. My 4 year old cried (understatement) before her cut because she was scared and again Bri was extremely patient and kind and when we finally got her in to a chair the cut was smooth as could be! We will definitely be regulars at Funky Scissors!
I love the haircuts, but the website for scheduling is horrible, and the phone number does not connect you to the store and just loops its message. Changing an appointment online end up billing you twice. Awful customer service if you cant talk to an actual person.
Great place to get a haircut. Very cool they had Xbox and Netflix available for the kiddos, Emily clay cut my hair last time and Ill definitely have to go back. Id say place is convenient, close, and not a long wait thanks.
Terrible experience for my 3 year old autistic son. Absolutely no personable/children skills from Ms. Shay. Cut behind his ear with the buzzers and he bled. 18 dollars to torture my kid. We have never had this happen before. We wont be coming back. Not to mention the haircut looks awful.

We visited funky scissors for our daughters first haircut. When we got inside, she got excited to see a pink jeep, so we went up to the lady at the front counter and asked if we could use the pink one. She was extremely short and rude and said you get what you get. We understood not showing preference, but we next up and the jeep was empty. Then, when we went to leave, that same lady behind the desk was very rude and would not accept our coupon. There was small print saying the coupon could not be used on a weekend, but she could have been a little bit more nice and her declining of it. We just felt like her demeanor put a sour note on this exciting experience of giving our daughter her first haircut.I will say rest of the staff was wonderful! My daughters hair cutter genuinely seem to want to connect with her and gave a great haircut.

A fun experience for my toddler’s first professional haircut. They’re so good with little kids.
They did a great job with my three kids. The boys are used to getting their hair cut but this was only the 2nd cut for our daughter and she did a complete 180 from the first time, thanks to the cool pink jeep to sit in and having the Trolls movie on the tv embedded in the mirror. Only downside was a small wait.
