Update: to clarify, I was there at 7 AM and they kick us out at 8:30! Unfortunately, I cant reply to the manager comment, but it seems he doesnt know whats happening in his own restaurant.We went for breakfast. The service was excellent. The food however is average. Many items we tasted were very salty. Not much fresh vegetables or bread options. The good thing is that the beverages are included in the price and tasted good. We werent informed when we booked that we get 1.5 hr only inside and they only informed us when we were already there for 1.5 hrs. The waitress gave us 15 mins extra but honestly, it was a bad experience to enforce such condition when the place was half empty and when they didnt tell us about this rule beforehand. The waitresses were very nice and helpful though.
Only one word, excellent. I have been here before as well and even this visit met the same expectations. Their breakfast buffet is really nice, variety of food, fruits and cereal. The fruits were so yum, wonder where they get it, fresh and sweet.The best part is the staff which is very friendly and ready to assist you from the chefs to the waiters. Big thank you to all for making the breakfast an excellent, pleasant experience.
One of the best breakfast spots in Doha. Pleasant atmosphere, a huge selection of eggs, pastries and a variety of dishes for every taste. Great spread for Friday brunch. In this pandemic crisis, the arrangement for this brunch has been slightly modified allowing customers to be close enough to the food which is protected with glass shields where a server hands you the serving you request. The food quality is amazing and they have a wide selection if food for all kinds of flavor preferences and even enough choices for vegans. The vegetables and fruit salad, the waffles and the eggs-on-demand stations were my favorites and last but not the least was the Berliner donut. The seating arrangement offers ideal physical distancing and adequate walking corridors respecting the pandemic circumstances. For the current price of QAR110, this is an ideal weekend spot to unwind, offering great value for your money.
Excellent food. Good variety. Would have give 5*, only 4* as wanted to sit outside but was swapped by house flies. At least the waiter could have warned us before seating us. Also while having breakfast a light from ceiling fell to the floor. Thank God no one was hurt.But food, atmosphere, attentive waitress were exceptional.
Had a Valentineβs dinner at Santa Monica. It was a great experience. Very charming ambiance, beautiful gardens. The food was very delicious, with creative presentation. The staff were very courteous and helpful, they sincerely cared to make us happy. We even got a small heart-shaped cake as a compliment!
Brought the family there today for breakfast. Looking forward for a great experience considering the long drive from our place.Slightly disappointed though. Food was average, bacon (not sure whether it was beef or turkey) was chewy and tough and had given us an early jaw exercise. The staff in the egg station was an unhappy fellow. I asked for omelet and forgot what table number was i in. He insisted he could not bring the omelet unless i give my table number. There were few customers that time (not more than five tables). I was seated just across his station and could easily see where i am heading. He was also slicing brown bread that time and out of convenience, asked him for couple slices. He declined and said i can get them at the bread and pastry station. I politely said my thanks and told him ill just pick up my omelet.The coffee was great though and the barista was happy to offer me a second cup which of course i did not turn down. :)

This is probably the best breakfast restaurant in Doha. First of all, it is great value for the money. If you were to go to any other restaurant for breakfast and order a coffee, tea, juice, plus a meal you, you would be up between 60 to 100 QR depending on where you go. Specialty coffees alone can run between 15-25 QR. And all you get is one meal. Why not spend a little more money and get an all you can eat buffet breakfast? The choice is insane. Anything you can imagine for breakfast you can get here: all manner of breads and pastries, waffles and pancakes, salads and cheeses, cereals, and egg station that will custom make eggs any way you like, specialty coffees, juices, fruit, bacon, sausages, baked beans and has browns, plus a huge selection of traditional Arabic breakfast items. The quality is exceptional; it is what you would expect at any of Dohas top buffets, for one-third the cost. The service is amazing and the atmosphere is casual and fun. Its also a great pace for families: the price alone and variety make it a no-brainer, but they have designated play areas for kids of various age groups, including couches and a gaming console for your tweens and teens. There is simply no other place that can compare for variety, quality, price and atmosphere anywhere in Doha. Do yourself a favour and go, you wont regret it.
This is the breakfast club restaurant of Grand Hyatt, Doha. Average ambience of that expectations from a five star rated hotel. Food is okay . Kids will enjoy the pancakes and fresh toast. The time to deliver your food takes a bit long time. Usually 30-45 min from your order to get food on table. One sad part is that they are not very kids friendly.
Service was great, tea order was wrong, but fixed immediately. High chair needed a double clean. Seating was on the soft side, and needed a bit more support. Art work on the walls, and mellow BGM, was a nice touch to the ambience. Food was fresh and split into appropriate stations. Mostly Western menu, with the odd Arabic items. Gluten free and low fat options available.Nice walk outside the restaurant, heading towards the beach. Though the noise and eyesore of construction work outside was a little unsettling. Alhumdolillah.

Location is in one of a well know hotel. So youll be expecting prompt, 5 star service with friendly, bubbly staff.Service: Breakfast.Once you entered, a wait staff will welcome you in. Thats about all. No one ushering you to a table or seating area. Basically, you go choose where you want by yourself. Staff was hardly around until you call or tell them youre with a group of 7 and they ask you questions like any reservations? how many adults? Shouldnt this be asked at the entrance so arrangements could be done? And please smile, its free!Anyways, we ordered for coffee, cappuccino and tea which took 30 minutes to arrive. So if youre a coffee drinker, order 2 at the same time or else you have to wait for 15 minutes before youre served. Same goes with their egg station, ordered omelette and it took 25 minutes to come to your table. Coffee and eggs are the only 2 station that took like forever to be served. The rest you go pick it yourself as it is a buffet.Breafast buffet wasnt that great. Your norm international with a tiny Arabic corner. For a promotional price of QR 100 per person, I would say go have it elsewhere where service is prompt and staff is always around to help. If youre out of choices or places to go, then you can be a returning customer. Would I return? First and last. Good first hand experience.

Always a favorite place for breakfast. Was amazed at how busy Sunday is at SMBC, regardless, the food & drinks were all in orderly manner, not crowded with social distancing well practiced. A really good management on made to order eggs & delivered to table, maintaining freshness. Pastries & various bread offerings is what we enjoyed most. All in all, perfect eggs, crispy beef bacon, fresh juices & variety of seasonal fruits & just great breakfast menu is why we keep coming! Not forgetting, hard working staff here, always smiling & attentive to our needs is a big plus for coming to SMBC! See you all soon & thank you for the delicious American cheesecake birthday treat!
Very nice breakfast, it has something for everyone. Definitely recommend the egg station, the poached egg on avocado toast was divine! Super sweet staff. And lovely ambience. Definitely coming back!
I love SMBR! (Santa Monica breakfast club) there food is amazing, and the buffets are in such good order. I just wish they picked up their calls more quicklyβ₯οΈβ₯οΈβ₯οΈ Five stars for sure!
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend eating at Santa Monica Breakfast Club whatsoever. On the day that I went to eat lunch at SMBC, the restaurant was almost empty, and yet it still took more than an hour for our food to arrive. Furthermore, when the food arrived, my order had been mistaken and had to be sent back. I had repeatedly asked when ordering if the onions could be taken out of my dish and the waitress confirmed my order noting no onions, but when served, what do you know, the dish had what seemed like an order of extra onions. When factoring in the stupendous prices, I know that I certainly will not be returning to SMBC, nor do I recommend it for anyone looking for a breakfast / lunch spot in Doha. For that, I would point you to Eggspectation close by in the Pearl, or IHOP at the Gulf Mall.
I typically went there for a late breakfas. The food was average eventhough they use fre-range eggs but it tasted below average. I ordered the poached eggs and my friend ordered the american breakfast, it took 20 minutes to bring the food and they over cooked his eggs (easy over) and the poached eggs were hard (more of a boiled eggs rather than poached). The location and music is great and thats the only plus. When its time to pay i told the waitress to charges me QARs 70 and same for my friend and unfortunately she charged me QAR 170 !!!!!! And it takes a lot of time to refund me so we took 2 espressos instead. Maybe this is the most expensive breakfast I ever had
Ita pleasant chili morning and our decision to sit outside was right. Attentive n polite staff. The spread was not humongous but not little either, just what is required was all was all there. To name a few,Sweet pasteries, live pan cakes counter, live omlet counter, fresh juices , cold selections, soup fruits with tea/coffee served on ur table. Atmosphere was g8 with light music n all tasted well. Definitely worth the price for what is offered. Being attracted to grand hyaat food n properties world wide smbc definately does not let u down. A must try in doha. #smbcdoha
Santa Monica is the spot, fair prices good food, nice atmosphere. My boy Alvian was very hospitable and helpful. If I needed anything he was able to meet my request in a quick and timely matter.

We were a group of six trying out the wings offer. Everything was amazing, from variety of different wings flavours to tasty wings and express device! Sushant was the one mostly serving us and is a great example of a very professional gentleman.

Excellent, had the Grilled Salmon Steak done medium and it just melts in your mouth, the honey miso glaze was a superb mix. Kudos to the chef and Achilles and all staff too.Definitely come back..
My best breakfast venue, we celebrated our 7th anniversary there and the staff just like every time were so loving, professional and caring.. Yana is our favourite hostess there and by luck we always sit at her areas.. she is very caring and welcoming.. one of the very happy places all over Doha.. thumbs up.. love you

Very nice breakfast, unlimited choices, I am a food and beverage expert and this is my first time i see chefs holding fresh croissant and serving their customers, which is truly unique. So happy to see this added value on service, Bravo!!! Nice place for families, kids will enjoy the non stop chocolate they serve. Their croissant is a must to try.

We have been here many times as it is one of the best breakfast buffets in Doha. The only issue is that you have to queue for anything that was available for you to dish prior to the pandemic as no-one is allowed to dish for themselves anymore. When busy, this is a dealbreaker, because food gets cold. Try to get here when it is not busy. Service was excellent and the menu has improved from the order station. Loved the shakshuka eggs and avo toast.Well done SMBC!

Atmosphere was lovely, cold cuts and fresh foods were delightful and super fresh, was disappointed with the hot food on offer. We tried the bacon, sausages, falafel, boiled eggs and hashbrowns. Everything was awfully dry and super chewy.. service was fabulous!

Saturday mid afternoon visit, understandably had to book a table. Taken straight to our table where told to scan the barcode for menu, ordered drinks beer and bottle of wine. waited 15 minutes for drinks, had to go and find a waiter.... (surprised as there were only 4 tables taken in restaurant) We were disappointed that the menu, it had completely changed from our previous visits, very minimal selection burgers and grill! If we had know that we wouldnt of ordered or drinks and gone elsewhere.. Although the Manager came to apologize we still had to wait what seemed like forever for our food. The chips were undercooked so asked to be fried a little longer, they arrived when we had finished our meal so didnt eat them. The food itself was very tasty but overpriced, lamb chops 295qr and pay extra for sides!.. We were reluctant to leave a tip but we just always do. From previous visits we love Santa Monica Breakfast Club but dont think we will go back , not for a while..

Went for breakfast today with my friends... food are ok but not too much choices... staff are very accomodating and friendly specially Imad and Reymark except Mahmoud who approach us so rude.... we are still having our breakfast and we still have 30 mins but he wants us to leave and get our bill...
Great food, it gets a little warm if you sit by the door because there is a BBQ so people go in and out frequently. It is casual so you can wear shorts or whatever. There is a great selection. This place is super kid friendly (it is up to you if that is a good or bad thing, there will be children all around). Definitely have the shirt ribs and the peanut butter ice cream is to die for!!
French fries tasted old and very oily. Burger has an oily weird smell to it. Quality of food is really bad I wouldnt recommend it to anyone.

It is a nice place , tasty dishes and cocktails. Suitable for couples and families. In the bathroom there is a changing table which is a plus for families with kids. But the kids area, it is poor, old toys and not good for such a good place really it needs renovation.

We ate twice here during our stay at Grand Hyatt and the service for such an upscale hotel was very lacking. The staff seem uninterested in customer service and we had to continuously ask for assistance versus anyone checking on us. The nachos were horrible. The cheese used is movie theatre out of a can style and there was less than a tablespoon of avacado and salsa on top. Zero taste. The blueberry pancakes are extremely sweet. Definitely should be listed in the dessert section.The pizza was decent, but if you are craving pizza, Id go next door to Rocca. Amazing pizza and fantastic service.
Great atmosphere and friendly and interactive staff make this a great breakfast location. Choice is extraordinarily good and head Chef very professional and customer orientated. Our Family enjoyed the SMBC experience tremendously.
The food collection was bigger and better. The grill station provides raw food that we had to return our dishes back.
The place is nice and the food is ok. But the a/c inside is terrible. Looks like you are in winter in Siberian . Even if you ask the waiter about turn down a little, still is too cold.Also, sometimes take a long time yo bring food or beveragesI hope they fix that things (specially ac)
