Authentic Kokanasth Bramhani food. Very sober, simple but delicious food at very reasonable pricing. People do come here to have Ukadiche Modak and Solkadhi Ukadiche Modak are garnished with homemade ghee. This place is very famous in Diveagar. You need to book your thalis atleast one day before. They take booking on telephone. You need not to pay advance for that (small quantity atleast...for big count they may ask advance/token) Their contact number is available on internet. They serve only Lunch according to my information.

One of the prominent place in Diveagar to eat vegetarian thali, they have a fixed menu thali. Additionally you can order Modak and Solkadi, which again is one of the best in Area. Only drawback is you have to order Modak and Solkadi in advance, else you dont get.

This is the 2nd year in a row that we visited Diveagar and Bapat Khanawal.This place is only for people who love typical Brahmani style Maharashtrian food, which tastes a bit sweet. Those who dont like such kind of food, dont bother to visit.The food is served in पंगत style. Everything, from pickle to ukdiche modak tastes yum.One needs to reserve seat in advance and also give them count of people, modaks and solkadhi. One will not get any at eleventh hour. Thats how this place has been doing business for years, and Ive tremendous respect as its avoids wastage of food and resources.They accept only cash, as is the case in entire Diveagar.This place is a must visit if you love this kind of food.

Good quality food at reasonable rate. Ukdiche Modak were just awesome. If you want to eat homely food then this is the place.A bit over rated though as some small khanavals also provide equally good food. Ao if you want to explore, dont shy to skip this one and go for some small homely khanaval with a sitout under the coconut trees. They are equally good.

Suhas Bapat did disappoint in terms of taste. Was only Okish. Setup is good, Service is good n but have tasted much much better veg thalis in Diveagar. Best Wishes

If you like eating vegetarian n typical Maharashtrian style food then a must visit place...food quality, taste would rate 5/5.Must try their home made shrikhand n ukadiche Modak...out if the world taste.One has to reserve place atleast 8-12 hours before. They dont accommodate more than 150 people for 1 time meal...n trust me the reservations get full very fast...

Proper indian konkani style veg food

How can anyone know that in any restaurant a morning booking is required for lunch? We are new here. We visited suhas bapat khanaval because we need only pure veg restaurant and in Diveagar getting pure veg food is very difficult. only 1-2 restaurant gives pure veg food and suhas bapat is one of them. But the attitude of owner is very strict and he is not ready to give food if we go without booking. Its very disappointing that he did not given us food even we offerred to pay him double rate. There is nothing special in thali except ukdiche modak and a pure veg food. We and kids returned with empty stomouch and its very bad feeling that we did not get food here even though there is food available. Anyways, they behave like this because they are popular and have fame. This attitude is not helpful in the long run.

Bad food variety, horrible attitude. Most unfriendly people. Not open to inputs. We were served f cauliflower sabzi which tasted rotten. The amti wad tasteless and no dal or varan provided. The quality of rice served was also very bad.Just because they have a name, they have a dont care attitude.

If you are at diveagar & pure vegetarian, then must visit place . They serve you hot homemade food. Reasonable cost. Only condition is you have to give pre- order & follow timings. No name plate,but thats not issue ,available on map.

Must vist if you are in Diveagar. We visted for lunch all the way from Shrivardhan just for Modaks. Dont forget to order Solkadi.Typical kokanstha Barhmin food. Bapat is running this khanaval since 91-92. Diveagar=Bapat Khanaval.

The best place to get a vegetarian meal in Diviagar. How many people have to eat before they have to say. The overall arrangement is very nice. There are coconut-pine trees around, a pleasant atmosphere!

Sheesht Brahmin aahet saale. Ukdiche Modak karyala visarlet ... Jara shee-kha Kelkaran kadun. Jevan pan faltu hota. Book at your own risk.Translation: Horrible Modaks. We booked them a day before still they couldnt make it good. Learn from Kelkars Modak. Even lunch was disgusting. Not recommended at all.
