I can only give this place five stars. Travelling isnt about places, its about people, and I visited this place in the most enjoyable company. Nothing went wrong. The food was ok, the wine was good and the service polite and discreet. The crowd is mostly young people, business type gentlemen and young ladies. Good music, but not loud enough to cover the voices of the people sitting around next table. Prices over the average.

Leo is an overrated restaurant, that want to see itselves high class, but is missing basic rules of hospitality. Keep on trying!Full story:I was there with my friend on Sunday evening (11.11.2018). I was told that the restaurant serves an amazing variety of wine and that waiters are good at advertising and offering the right wine. Additionally, the restaurant tries to work with local ingredients and offers modern Russian cuisine. Long story short: Sounds amazing! BUT..the waiter at our table seemed to be nice at first, but instead checkin on us after we finished our first glass of wine, he held and endless speech and lecture about wine with the couple next table. So far, so good..he is just passionate for his job, but also young and inexerienced to offer a good service.The food was really excellent and instead of dessert I decided to ordere another starter because i liked the food so much and i chose roastbeef bruschetta. After approx. 10-15 min waiting, the young waiter returned and brought my friends dessert, telling me that they have no more bruschetta. so i told him dont worry..just talk to chef and please improvise something...you will manage. the waiter didnt seem to get what i want, offered broccoli, then left the table and i wasnt able to make another order. i called him again and interrupted him playing with his mobile phone at the bar. I asked him to talk to the chef about my wish, he unwillingly did so and finally told me that the chef cant improvise since he has no bread. When asking for bill he additionally charged me 70 rubles for the sip of wine that he offered me to taste his recommendation.In my opinion: A good and talented chef would improvise something and try to make the guest feel special, especially when these customers already ordered a lot. Further, its good if someome shows his passion and entertains customers. But its bad if other customers get ignored and neglected. And the grand result: Being unreasonable greedy and rude with customers by charging 70 rubles for tasting a wine at a 4000 rubles bill. Is that just inexperience or bad character of waiter or special price for foreigners?

This the best you can find in Rostov! Better have a reservation for dinner.

Но больше всего поражают блюда.На закуску мы отведали лепешки с зеленью и прозрачными лепестками нежнейшего сала и лепешки с баклажанами и грецким орехом. На горячее было заказано: утиная грудка с нектаринами и морковью, форель с молодой картошечкой и пельмени с судаком. Это была самая сочная и вкусная утка в моей жизни, просто феерия для вкусовых рецепторов.Остальные блюда также порадовали искушенных гостей.Не смогли мы удержаться от соблазна: выбрали десерты - виноград, нектарин и елку с ягодами. Каждый из них - произведение искусства. И дело не только в подаче: сочетание текстур и оттенков творит чудеса. Нежнейший сорбет тает во рту вместе с подпаленным нектарином. В другом мороженое с грецким орехом приятно соседствует с виноградом и запеченной корочкой. А в третьем удивляет слияние хвойного вкуса и лесных ягод с освежающей ноткой мороженого...

Изысканное место рассчитанное на любителей вина, другого спиртного тут нет. Винную карту (о которой тут столько пишут) не предоставили, сказали списка вин на бумаге нет, спрашивайте, расскажем и подберем вам. Скудное меню в одну страницу. Еда просто как изыск или дифлопе - подается красиво не большими порциями на прекрасной типа глиняной посуде, но не дешево и не супер мега вкусно. Мы бронировали места заранее, т.к. узнали, что у заведения громкая слава и несколько наград от GQ (да, рамочки с наградами на полках там есть) и без брони не попасть. В общем, туда если идти, то не за едой, а за красивой атмосферой и ощущением, что сидишь в мисьё мажорьё. Зато вечер в компании друзей был прекрасен.))

After reading a lot of reviews, I was expecting some bigger extravaganza ..Decent wine selection! Highly! The waiters know what to offer for every request. I liked that you can choose from several options the bottle you like for dinner.The dishes are quite original. Dessert is rather weak. Ordered a peach 🍑 with something ..dumplings with pike perch super!Mullet tartare is also good 👍But the roast beef bar is too salty. I didnt like it at all.

Была недавно вечером в этом ресторане. Никогда больше сюда не приду, мои близкие друзья тоже сюда никогда не придут. Ресторан не выгнал гоп-компанию после их хулиганских действий в отношении меня. Довольно странно было. Я одна пыталась на место поставить 7 взрослых пьяных мужиков. Никто из управления ресторана за меня не вступился. Более того, продолжали обслуживать эту компанию.
