This is a place for biriyani lovers. Since it is on the Madurai to Salem highway it is easy to assess for people who travel. Also only issue is locating the place and get the link road to the place. Also the ambiance is very good now a days they have contact less order, billing.

Very very unfortunate! I never expected Ponram would be in one of my worst reviews list! But what to do! Hope me being transparent and honest would help Ponram in shaping themselves in Giving a better experience to their next customers!!It was not just one or two complaints that made me wrote this 😞! From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, all I saw was troubles and mishaps!! Starting from the seating till payment, was asked for a/c room and for the same one of waiters asked us to wait but an another waiter told us that, a/c hall was all full (though we could see empty tables in a/c hall through its see-through glass window) and told us to dine in the regular hall(non-a/c) thogh the hall had noises like in a fish market, we agreed and occupied a table in the room. Then comes the next hurdle, taking the order it took almost 20mins for an waiter to attend us and he took our orders( though what we wished was either missed in the menu/finished for the day, like Mt brain fry, crab etc., ) and during the order I clearly requested the waiter to bring the milkshake for our kid as we wanted to have a peaceful dining by bribing our kid with the Milkshake!!There comes the next headache! The server (after few min max 5 to 10 mins from the order taken) first served the Mutton soup and starters though we specifically insisted them to being the kids milkshake first! As we didnt want the soup and starters to go cold we started to consume this with a having our hungry kid angrily scaring and scolding us!! After a long try and a drama finally other server came back with the shake!During the time, my wife, she started on the starters, as we ordered a Chinese spicy chicken dish, my wife, she couldnt resist the hot spices and was literally screaming and scolding to get the water, as you can already see, by then we were there for almost 40mins, till then no sever/waiter bothered in bringing the water nor the glass for us to quinch the spices heat!!Taste of the main courses were horrible! Sply a blunt and mud like kothu parotta and a literally a mud(stones and rocks) filled chicken noodles!!And bearers got confused and mixed up our dessert/juice order and brought us the ones (juices) Which we were not even Ordered!!And Gem of all (I preserved this for last) somebody vomited very worse on a washing sink and the same was clogging that washbasin and that made the pungent smell around the hand wash area! And to my surprise it was almost an hour after my meal, when i went back to wash hands! I could see the same vomit clogged basin spreading its nasty smell all over the place! You could see not even one person in the restaurant took any action for that for almost an hour and you can imagine the appetite of us after seeing such horror!!When I shared this to their waiters! They simply came back with a feedback from! And it was not a surprise they had only two lines to share ones comments! But had option to take customers date of birth and anniversary 🤦‍♂️One could think then why two stars! It was for two things one for the Mutton bone soup and other for the waiter who atleast for a courtesy and namesake apologized for the things I faced there!!!

Icecreams are good, but the juice items are very average

Tasty food. Quality also nice. Quantity also good. Briyani also very nice taste. Tawa fish Vera level. Service also very nice. Grill chichen and dragon chicken also nice. Ice cream parlour also available inside, milkshake also. Good place for break in madurai to Dindigul highway. Available in main road and near bye pass. Lot of parking space also available. Children play area available.

Worst service ever I had in dindigul. The waiters are not even attending the customers. Utterly disappointed... No Biriyani is available in the peak hours... I went to the AC hall, where the server asked us to not to use the hall but where they allow only specified people there... never choose ponram food Square while visiting dindigul... thalapakatti is good in customer satisfaction which is just opposite of that.

Visited this restaurent after 5 years. Ambience was good and it attracts children. Fish pond and play area was there. Coming to food, i personally didnt liked it that much. The chicken was so hard to bite. I love barbeque chicken alone. Icecream was average. Briyani was so normal. Overall its a worst experience. Service was good. Thats all.

Nice ambience. Quality of the food is good. Delicious mutton biryani, brain fry, mutton sikka, kodal fry, liver fry and other dishes too. Buzzing place with a lot of customers coming to the hotel. The restaurant is equipped with a small park and a fish pool. Service could have been really better. We waited for quite a long time for the arrival of a very small cup of Raitha.. Quality of the packing is also good. Waited until we get the seats. Finished with a scoop of a nice quality Jack Fruit ice-cream...

We had a plan to go origin of dindugal thalapakkati biryani, but as my friend suggestion we reached ponram, the ambiance is really good and enough four wheeler parking space. due to covid precaution some of the food complex are not opened inside the food square.I strongly recommend to try here only once, food quantity, taste and service is really great but not pocket friendly. for example plain biryani (kushka) cost Rs 222 I hope (cant remember exact price) then think of other dish prices.Unable to taste mutton biryani during our visit, but I heard number of pieces are very less. But tried chicken biryani and lot of starters, taste is simple superb because I like Cardamom flavor. If you dont like it pls dont try any biryaniThey brought touch free menu card system using QR scanner to see the menu card ( make sure you have installed a QR scanner app). Since its an old shop, they have opened few new branches in the city with wide range of food.I have visited the new branch in dindigul.Ordered - mutton biriyani, mutton chukka, brain 65.Mutton biriyani tasted awesome, mutton chukka the ultimate dish (the best).Quantity is bit low.Mutton Biriyani costed 133rs for quarter plate.They are very much interested in hearing the queries from customers and ready to make changes according to that. Definitely a must try restaurant if you are stopping by Dindigul Bypass.The mutton briyani here is a must try you can feel the freshness and tenderness of the meat, imo it is a good contender for Dindigul Venu Briyani. The prices are not light on our pocket but along with a satisfying taste we also get to experience a nice ambiance and excellent service. There is a kids play area definitely kids will love to have some fun time after their meal.

Worst order and crowd management. Single person handling order taking and billing which load lot of pressure to staff. So we get less response from person. Took more time to deliver items at right time. Biryani is not prepared advanced so they cant serve people both dine and delivery. Since this restaurant is in highway, dont waste your journey time. Go with less crowded good restaurants. They billed at 2:50pm and delivered after 35 mins for 5 packet briyani with two side dishes.

The portion size of everything from briyani to chicken is very small. Its not enough for even half stomach. Dont be fooled by the briyani vessel.its larger from the outside but smaller from the inside. The rate is like a metro city.But in Chennai even if the cost is more the portion size will be bigger.Briyani taste okay.

In one word Excellent😊,We went for lunch and ordered mutton biriyani,mutton sukka, naatu kozhi fry and kudal fry.At first look biriyani quantity was little bit less but 1/2 plate is sufficient and the mutton pieces were tender and tasty, more spicier biriyani with jeer samba rice. Mutton sukka also with awesome taste. Visited Ponram Biriyani Restaurants Ponram Foodsqare today. Had breakfast in their Veg Square. Its a self service restaurant which offers great tasting food at very nominal price. Food is hygienic and place is cleanly maintained. Cleanly maintained restrooms are also available. Located right in the bypass road with ample parking space. A place not to be missed while crossing Dindigul.

We had Breakfast in the veg section. There is no table side service. The food was tasty but had limited selection at 9:30Am. They make their own masalas and use fresh and quality ingredients. There is a biriyani section as well and ice creams made from milk from their farms.ice creams are served after 11Am.
