Great place with excellent views. On site help always available. Music system is also really good.

Its good its peaceful the view is just amazing you just cant find anything better than this but the way to resort is not good big vehicle wont be able to go for sure max to Max a TT can go. No shop is there near by so grab some snacks before you rest for the day and do make sure to a fun night in bonfire.

Great house and awesome party place but service is not at all good

This place we booked through AirBnb. Didnt find it very expensive initially but the extra charges made it so.So the good points:Amazing views, secluded place, beautiful house, yum food (if asked before and is must because no shops nearby)Disappointing points:Hard to locate the house as maps dont work here properly, house is not maintained properly, bedsheets amd drawers were dirty, campfire was a fail (that was charged extra), hidden extra charges.

Reaching this place from the main road is a task. Place is clean and sports a beautiful view. Expensive and they try to milk you for everything you got. Get better staff seriously the care taker had to guide us to the house when we asked him to wait for a minute he just left us and wanted us to find him .

I’m personally disappointed with the place.....just the ambience is not what a traveler is looking for....the place has zero hospitality service...zero comfort ....zero food quality and taste....A good ambience and infrastructure will not take the management any where...WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND TO ANY ONE...

Apartment is good but house keeping staff are too rude. They dont respond to you properly and surely dont make you feel good in their place. Isnt worth your money for the kind of service they provide. Electric supply was not at all there. We were unable to charge our phones. Hot water wasnt supplied which they had agreed upon. Three stars only for the apartment and not for the facilities they provided.

This is the worst Airbnb place I have ever stayed in. We booked the place for two nights and ended up leaving it after one night.Getting to the place is extremely difficult as it is situated in a godforsaken location complete with narrow dirt road.The manager only operates from Chennai and there are two caretakers who do not speak the local language. Every one from the owner down to the caretakers are extremely rude.The place ha no cooking facilities and they charge enormously if we buy food from outside and bring it in.Bathrooms have no towel or soap.I could go on like this for another 200 words, but I am sure everyone gets an idea about the place.I strongly recommend Airbnb to delist this place.

Will be posting a detailed review soon. Except for the view and the house everything else was pathetic. The owner does not know how to talk to guests. He is a lawyer and thinks all his guests are the to swindle him. Be careful while booking this place on Airbnb. Its listed in multiple names. We booked it under some that mountain. Suggest not to book this place if you want a peaceful holiday

Horrible place. Rude staff. Both manager and the owner stays at Chennai and they operate this place remotely with 2 caretakers who can not speak English or local language. Dirty kitchen.They do not privide soap and towel.They do not provide hangers to hang your cloths.The food provided by tem is very very expensive. If you buy food from outside and eat here , they charge 500rs and they say it is for cleaning. TV do not work and they blame it on voltage. Even though they provide internet , the wifi signal not available in the rooms.

Service 4th grade.Place is away from main city so free from pollution and pure air.Poor roads nearby the inn so difficult to reach.Staff showing lot of attitudes.Service very poor.Scenery okk.

The only thing nice is the place.The owner isnt hospitable , the caretaker isnt hospitable.He doesnt make sure youre safe and having a good time. Theres no respect for privacy.The caretaker enters the house without permission when anyone of the doors are left unlocked. Wouldnt recommend the place if they are any girls as there are cameras inside the house. We were charged for basic things like cleaning the house at ₹500 per day . We were charged the day we entered the place also although the floors were sticky.You ask them for salt and pepper youll be charged for it as well. And the most important thing you need in a place like Kodaikanal is hot water. Which isnt provided , the house seems fancy but its been my worst experiences in an Airbnb. You will charged for reheating your food as well. Some of us had gone out to get breakfast while the others were sleeping Inside the house. The caretaker had already entered the house.So I wouldnt recommend this place at all.Youll be paying ₹500 each day you stay there for cleaning charges. Besides the charges youll be charged on Airbnb.

We will begin our disastrous story. Upon arrival, we received Aslam contact who is based in Chennai (not Kodaikanal). He provided the google map details of the accommodation. Up to Mother Teresa University, we were on right track. Thereafter the guide between Aslam and Yogi (based in Kodaikanal) was so confusing that we were roaming around in the dark. Thereafter we return to same location and Yogi guided on his bike ( we did not take a right turn due to fear of gorge that cant be seen in the dark, you have to experience it to understand). Upon reaching the accommodation, the place is under renovation and we were not previously informed. There were no hand-railings on the steps/staircase, there was this big rubbish bin on the 4th Floor right in the middle, 4th Floor bathroom was non-usable, continuous disruption of electricity, no heated water in the morning on a hill station, there were many more which I cant type on. The only good thing was Yogis breakfast. Sanjay was really not a good host and not helpful at all throughout, though he was communicating, he was all defensive for all the drawbacks. On a definite scale, we are not returning to his place nor recommending.

Guys dont go by the look ... Believe me by just seeing the property we where in cloud 9 but once we are in and thier hospitality sucks .. no proper food available .. no good food options .. its really pathetic .. not at all worth money .. think twice before you book .. look at the quantity of food which we got for 9 people and the amount which they have asked is 2800 for this much

The only thing positive about this place is the views of the mountains it offers and the way it is built. Other than that it is not recommended as it is isolated and the roads reaching there are not easily accessible. The host charges extra for everything from cleaning the place on the day you arrive to reheating food that youve gotten from outside. The floor was dirty and the furniture as well on the day we arrived itself. There are CCTV cameras present inside the house which monitor and take away the privacy of the guests. The caretaker was not friendly and entered and exited the house without any permission or even basic knocking of the door and even entered rooms without permission which is clear violation of privacy considering that there can be female guests residing there. The geysers failed to heat water and we had to make do with lukewarm water or cold water itself. The power was forever fluctuating and lights were going of every other time so be careful while charging devices. Overall it is not recommended as the views can be obtained from other parts of the town as well and go there only if youre ready to let go of your privacy and pay extra for every single thing possible.
