I have done lot of online ordering in India and in New Zealand but Nidhi is best among the lot in terms of service and good quality products. She has gone out of the way to help me from choosing the hampers to getting those hampers delivered on time. My family loved the packaging and all the cakes, breads and cookies. There was no difference in what she advertised on Instagram and what she delivered. I received a hamper full of goodies baked by Nidhi as a surprise gift on my birthday from a friend. Best cake I have had in a long long time. Everything was so beautifully packed together, and you can get a sense of hand-made in everything she does. Please, never stop making these godly foods, Nidhi. ❤️

A brilliant little home bakery with a huge variety on its menu with some items that arent available anywhere else around.The goods are mostly made on order so they are fresh and delicious, not to mention that they look pretty too.Talking about pretty, the packaging is beautiful and basically gifting-ready.Some items are readily available to buy too but most of the goods are on pre-order basis.I have yet to delve deeper into the menu but from what I have tried it was all really good.My favourite: double chocolate chip cookies. 🍪

I came to know about this place from instagram and boy oh boy! Ordered Chocolate Fudge Cupcakes two days in advance and they were the best cupcakes i ever tried or saw. Nidhi is truly very talented and it shows through her work and her passion towards baking. Was really fortunate enough to taste delicious cupcakes and hopefully would order more desserts and breads in the near future!!! I would totally recommend everyone to atleast give it a shot, you wont be disappointed!!

Ive a weak gut, intolerant to gluten, so the sourdough bread is my favorite pick from the menu. The crusty airy sourdough lasts me a whole week and is a great alternative to regular maida/whole-wheat bread. Grateful that I finally have options around Rakkar :)Nidhi, the owner, is sweet too, very accommodating and always smiling. She also did our wedding cakes that we sent out to our guests with custom packaging.

How lucky are folks in Dharmshala to have 1740 in their town! That’s what I felt after eating the Cinnamon rolls and Tiramisu from Nidhi’s Bakery. If you are traveling to Dharmashala/Mcld or anywhere close by, Do not forget to give them a quick call, pre order and pick up something from their menu.P.s If possible get a chance to have a short talk with the owner of the cafe. 1740 is hands down the best bakery in Dharamshala, if not Himachal! Nidhi is an excellent baker and always works super hard to deliver top quality goods. The sourdough, Foccacia and chocolate mousse cake are to die for!I honestly cant remember when I last had such beautifully baked goodies! Trust me, it doesnt get better than this.

One of the first things I do when I come home to Himachal from Bombay is order a cake from 1740 bakery. The bakery is brainchild of a wonderfully passionate baker Nidhi, who makes everything with a lot of love. The bakery is on beautiful terrace and is simple with key artistic elements to transform the image. Her Rum-raisin cake during Christmas, Hot buns during easter and Chocolate mud cake are my top favourites. I still have to try a lot more.There isnt a better bakery around in the whole of Kangra for sure. I am from Palampur and you can take my word for it!She makes birthday and holiday and any-day for that matter, very special.

This is the best bakery in town by a long shot… I’m a regular customer and 1740s breads, cakes and cookies are all sublime and can compete with the best there is to offer in India, or even London. Ordered a Red Velvet cake with a helping of Cinnamon Rolls for my folks on Mothers Day.And the results were glorious!I have never seen my mum going for seconds when it comes to cake! The bakery is not on volume but quality, so each of thier pieces are uniquely customised and catered to the clients needs. Not the typical creme-heped cakes that is overdone in the name of decoration. Must order and recommend to anyone who loves good 🍰 and baked goodness.

This is a great bakery they are so good at decorating cupcakes. Holi cupcakes was really awesome. The baked Gujiya really good. And my dogs enjoyed their dog cake.They are making different kinds of cake as per your favorite flavours. Its very delicious and one must really try it out.

Nidhi is a special friend of mine, and when I visited her in Rakkar/Dharamshala in 2020 I was just wowed by her bakery. She adds so much love and thought behind her products right from the best sourced ingredients to the packaging - everything is so thoughtful. You must try her breads (sourdough was better than any I had in Mumbai) and her cakes are super yum too! What I loved about ordering from her was that I know it’s super fresh and it’s baked just for me! Highly highly recommend 1740 Bakery!

Got a chance to order a wedding cake from Nidhi last October and oh my, she was super prompt. Given the situation & the circumstances because of Covid she has been superb in communication (which matters the most when you’re placing an order online). It resulted to a smooth delivery and the cake was delicious. We went for a red velvet cake on her recommendation and it was really nice. Loved the berliners. The nutella berliner was filled with loads of it. The dough was extremely soft. Also nidhi, the owner of the bakery is a very warm person and great to talk to. Must try it out cause the menu is great and very uncommon in a place like Dharamshala.

Absolutely love this place! Some of the best desserts youll find in Dharamsala, and the Kangra region overall. Nidhi is one of the best bakers around, who runs this place. Had ordered a boozy chocolate rum cake for Christmas 2020, and it was absolutely brilliant. Have also tried her red velvet cupcakes and it was so damn good, with just the perfect amount of moistness. 1740 is definitely the go-to place for me when Im craving desserts I usually dont get in Bir, 60 kms away!
