Every year, during the Mahashivaratri, a huge fair is organized in the Shiva temple and pilgrims visit from all parts of India to offer puja. During the Hindu month of Sawan (August- September), Hare Krishna kirtan, chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra, is conducted all through the night, which is also a major attraction for the devotees.

The historical place at assam for worshipping lord shiv. History says this is one of the oldest temple with migrates from China built it and survived under rule of British, and tallest built architecture of temple in India. The kalash of temple is covered with gold. The garbagriha have shiv idol in reverse form and bull in front. The temple and sculpture are very beautiful and have greenery at entrance. The surrounding has Devi and Vishnu temple besides. If you come out there is much bigger lake.I have taken away one star from rating for the pandit in temple who seeks for money every devotee comes in for darshan. some authority need to have check on this.

Its a historical place of assam. Its a group of structure comprising three hindu temples of shivadol.I just give only 3 start only because recently shivadol committee cut all the trees in the area of shivadol and in all them their is also some oldest trees. The shivadol committee says that they will make the flore by tiles. We can see they did it only because of their profits. Many of tourist and people of sivsagar got shade from the trees and used to spent their evening time in the dol before they are cut of.Dol committee should think about that, its not about profit its about our history.
