I was there just to have a quick dinner, Well decorated interior but food was bit salty. I ordered fresh orange juice, fried calamari, a prawn fry covered with beef salami & Americano. Fresh juice & Americano was good but the sauce of fried calamari is bit salty. Also that prawn dish was bit more oily & salty so couldn’t finish the food.

Frist time visiting Saltz, had high expectations but was sadly disappointed.The overall place and seating was really odd, the main dining area was a bit tight and the tables are really close together, another section was far off in the corner and another section of seating in a little hallway area, lighting was extremely bright. One good spot was the seating area in the balcony but probably only good in the day time as at night there are too many mosquitoes.Anyways on to the food: we had the following:Seafood Soup: Soup was quite tasty, nice flavors all around.Seafood Appetizer: The batter of this dish was too thick. So you barely tasted what was inside and it was like eating a donut. Also there was not alot of fish and more vegetables in this dish.Seafood Lasagna: Horrible dish, chewy and rubbery. We couldn’t even eat it.Curry Hurry Fish: Really good, the fish was fresh, the sauce on this dish was really flavorful. A very deshi style dish with a modern twist. My only complain is that the quantity of rice is too little, there should be more rice considering the size of the fish.Fish cake: Fish cake tasted fresh but nothing special, sauce with the fish cake was way too sweet!Surf and Turf: Really bland piece of steak with two tiny shirmp, there was no surf in this surf and turf.I was shocked that a fish restaurant didn’t have a “Fish and Chips” on the menu, really odd.Service: Very poor service, our waiter barely understood a word of english. In this area and in a high end restaurant, the waiters should speak and understand basic english. Even when speaking Bangla, waiter didn’t seem to knowledgeable about their dish. When I asked what is the fish used in the “curry hurry fish dish”, his answer was “ocean fish” 😐. Also the overall demeanor and care was not there. Never came to check once how the food was or if we needed anything, we constantly had to call and ask for basic things like sauce and water. Also one thing I found extremely uncomfortable was when we were eating, the entire staff of about 6/7 people all standing in the main dining area. It was just weird and an uneasy feeling.Overall, an extremely disappointing experience from a restaurant I had high expectations for.

Best Sea Food Restaurant in Dhaka

The specialty of this restaurant is sea food. However one needs to know a little about sea food to get the maximum value for the money spent. Service is cordial.

Ambience is nice and rooftop dining is pretty chill but Quality of food is average and Service is way below standard, especially on busy days

The Scallops and shrimp with pasta and pesto sauce is highly recommended. Cream of seafood and grilled jumbo prawns were also pretty good. Grilled salmon steak was a bit dry.The place has a good ambience and an attentive staff, but I felt most of the dishes were a bit overpriced.

They label themselves as fine dining seafood place but there is nothing fine about it. The food was average and it was expensive. The price would have been justified if the food was good but the food was nothing as such. The place was empty when we went, so speaks for it’s popularity.

The place is quite old and a bit worn out.Air-conditioning inside and outside Terrace is open (smoking allowed there).Food is of great taste, a bit expensive though.Have big parking area to accommodate enough cars.Staffs are average, not extra cordical. Usually gives 10% discount in cards.

Our all time favourite restaurant is Saltz ... we enjoy the food very much . This time we had Mixed Grilled Sea Food platter , Grilled Calamari and Stuffed Crabs - I recommend to have the first two ...for main food we had Grilled Jumbo prawns and Lobster Thermidor- recomend to have both ....

Nice restaurant, lovely fish. Went with friends who chose for me. Red snapper was the main, but we then went on to some delicious fish curries and thai-style fish. Very good.

Pathetic and substandard service. We went in a big group of 20+. It took them more than 2hrs to start serving. Some of us left without eating. Food is ok. But, management should pay attention in improving the service level significantly.

The best sea food place in dhaka....great atmosphere

They served us horrible tasting calamari that smelled raw and old. The steamed rice was very oily. The sizzling beef was 10% beef and 90% vegetables and had no salt or any seasoning. They take service charge and service is horrible. Couldn’t even find a waiter. The food was completely inedible and we couldn’t even finish half of it. Never going there again.

It was a great restaurant before but last time I visited it fall in quality for food. We got Norwegian salmon with lots of bones in it and they are pretty small in portion. Its not value for money at all. You can get this quality of food with cheaper price in other places. The decor become outdated also.

One of the best seafood restaurants in Dhaka. This restaurant is actually another branch of original Saltz restaurant . It is located on the 2nd level, Chefss Table, Gulshan.

It seems to be an upscale restaurant but our experience here was not good at all. The ACs were not working. They have four or five different halls which were offered for our large group, so all were sitting in individual small groups of 5-6 persons.The food was just ok that too the Fish out of the items I had (and seafood as told by others). Meat, Chicken (just ok), lazania etc. Were below average. Only dessert was good being Bengali. Nothing great as per the restaurants perceived reputation.

In the menu they only mention about 15% vat but in the actual bill they also charges 10% service charge. As per the menu they are premium but in terms of service and food quality, they are no way near to that!

Located at Gulshan north, Saltz is a high quality Seafood restaurant. An excellent menu covering hot and cold starters, soups and a big choice of main dishes. Their crab canapie, pronto prawn, prawn cocktail, Avacado salmon starter, rosti stacks are must have. The interior is absolutely like a seagoing vessel with related paintings, sand and seashells decorations. There is also an open deck like place, which is nice in the cool evenings! Most importantly there are enough car parking spaces available. Great food and great service.
