This is government university offering education outside formal system. The university main campus is in Gazipur. This is the Dhaka regional centre. Those who can not afford regular education system can enroll them here and can take the tuition at evening and off days. They have well equipped classrooms.

Its a public university by Bangladesh government. They offers high school, undergraduate, graduate, doctorate educational courses. I was completed my Commonwealth Executive MBA from this university. CEMBA program offered by Bangladesh Open University in collaboration with commonwealth of learning (COL). Vancouver, Canada.

It is a public university. The university has two types of education system on campus (City Campus, Dhaka) and Outer Campus (Study Centers). Bangladesh Open University is particularly committed to building a well-educated and self-reliant nation by making the creation, practice and development of knowledge and science more people-oriented and life-sustaining through the use of multifaceted education technology.The main campus of Bangladesh Open University is located in Board Bazar of Gazipur district north of Dhaka city. In addition, the university has 12 regional centers, 60 coordinating offices and a vast network of more than 1,000 tutorial centers across the country for organizing educational activities.
