NICE PLACE FOR BOOKS AND ITS READERS

I visited this place once. The environment was placid and tremendous for readers.For regular reading and other facilities you should enroll yourself as a member only for 50 -100 taka per year depending on type of service you wish to use. However here you will find a colossal collection of books, journals and research articles.

It’s the largest library of Bangladesh which has huge collection of various kinds of new books and printing materials. It’s located at the opposite side of Asian Development Bank. Though it was first established in 1967, the main activities was started in 1973, after our Liberation War.

This place is good for study.But not enough book you needed.Job seekers books are available and all books are old version.

It’s a place of Bangladesh Archive and store of a big Library where you find every types of books ( which we need maximum) and also it have the collection of old books, national, international books, series of books etc.Mostly, it has a clam environment which designed by Architect Mazharul Islam Sir.

A great place for passing time.....👌👌👌Ive been there once and thinking about visiting again.A great place for reading books and non- members can also read books. Although there are not allowed to borrow(Only members are allowed to bring books home).But anyone can visit and read books. Love the place. If you are in Dhaka this a place worth visiting once in you life.👍👍👍

Great place for book lovers of all ages. Inside environment is very calm and quiet. Huge collections of different types of books, journal, newspaper, research books etc. There is a scope to become a member with given amount.

There environment is very good for reading by concentration. Here is not necessary to be a member for reading books. Anyone can read books. But you can not borrow book from here.

A large number of students come hear for study. Here available a lot of books including foreign book. Here two vast room for reading which decorated with nice furniture and also have AC. An another room is used for reading Daily news paper. For students lunch a dining room available here. The whole area covered with free Wi-Fi service.

National library of Bangladesh is a nice place to visit. I have been there. This is really nice place to study. But now a days nobody go there to study. Because of social media. Everybody busy with it. Thx

The place is nice ; there is a huge collection of books for Microbiology, Genetics & other Research...there is no reading environment for the science student , all the seats are booked by BCS candidate student( library open to close ); they tend to book the seat and go outside ...then come and told ai seat oder pitar sompotti ....Its a shame that in the English section of this Library ...there is MP3 books .

National Library of Bangladesh. Its a beautiful place. Its environment is so nice. Students mainly job seekers go there to read. There are two rooms here for students.One is for bengali and other is for english. Youll get all types of book here.

Bangladesh National Library is located at Agargaon of Sher-e-Banglanagar thana. It is the legal supervision and preservation of the history, heritage and culture of the nation and the organization of the creative work of the nation. Immediately after independence, the National Library of Bangladesh was established under the governments special ordinance.This institution collects all important national and many international publications, especially on history, politics, culture, administration, science, medicine and technology. In particular, special emphasis was placed on the collection of documents and publications related to the soil and the people of Bangladesh from the country and abroad. As a result, it becomes the largest archaeological document in the history and tradition of Bangladesh.In 1973, the government brought Bangladesh National Library under the Department of Archives and Archives (Directorate of Archives and Libraries), with some necessary structural changes. At present, the directorate is under the Ministry of Culture.The main activities of the Bangladesh National Library are (1) to collect and preserve all the publications in accordance with the Bangladesh Copyright Act (revised in 2000) made in 1974 and make them available to the appropriate management and researchers and readers; (2) Preparation and publication of National Bibliography; (3) To serve as the guardian of all the libraries of the country; (4) To communicate with all the libraries in the country and abroad and to exchange their books and information; (5) Preparation and publication of all editorial and important articles published in the national daily newspaper; (6) To help and support the development of library and information science; (7) prepare and publish library directory; (8) International Standard Book Numbers (ISBN); And (9) prepare and publish a union catalog for Bangladesh.This library has collection of old maps of Urdu, Arabic and Persian books and manuscripts and large number of maps of Bangladesh and Indian subcontinent. All the collections of the National Library are stored in a seven-story air-conditioned and modern decorated building.National Library has many types of reader services and other facilities. It has four major reading rooms of about 743.22 square meters. There is also a 300-seat air-conditioned auditorium.The National Library organizes special exhibitions, seminars and symposiums for all types of readers and libraries, including children and adults.
