Visited this Japanese sushi place for the first time. Quite an well decorated place with food even further tasteful. Staff behavior and service is very nice and welcoming. We had salmon maki roll, beef teriyaki, Japanese cheesecake and drinks. Each of the item tasted very good. 4 star only because of their price point which is quite high.

I frequent many fusion japanese restaurants of Dhaka and I ADORE Izakaya. Wonderful ambiance , amazing food & great service - all make it a good place to spend your time and money. There menu offers a variety of dishes and drinks.Absolutely LoVED there family platters. Very good value for money in my opinion.Do try the Iced lemon tea and the other drinks to go with your meal, you wont regret it

Right after entering i was greeted and couple other people were there to welcome me. The menu was on a tablet. The decoration was very elegant from the moment of entry to the moment you leave and the food was great it didnt take long. I really have no complains about anything. From the food to the waitering to everything was excellent.!

They really pamper you with services! And they literally open for any suggestions of customers, help you with understanding the menus and foods to search for your best.And the menus are not handmade papers! They are notepad based! I know Im 2000 and late to the party, but felt this place deserves a shout-out.Definitely not traditionally Japanese, but had a great dining experience. Out of 8 dishes we ordered, 6 were good. Particularly loved the deep fried nori taco shells and the gyoza.Great views and quite Instagrammable.Will definitely go back.

Loved their food and environment. And also the flowery decorations. Also, like the way they give you the menus with the help of a Tablet. Nice way of Presenting. I just love Izakaya for their food, hospitality, customer service and atmosphere. Its an authentic Japanese cuisine with a wide open kitchen and well decorated place. They are maintaining safety precautions seriously for customers. Its a must try for food lovers especially those love sushi. They have varieties of yummy foods.

Japanese food! Do not take beverage with this kind of food. Try the mojito, they are good with this kind of food. There are set menu for 2 to 4 person with many variants. You will also find set variants of sushi, rolls, etc., just see the menu properly before ordering. Moreover, the place is nice and good environment for any set of people.

Dont put too much hopes on the quality of sushi.. thats what Ive been told, but they were still very average but the prices were equivalent to one of those top notch ones available in other areas of Dhaka...However their salmon taratare starter and scallops were to die for.. my friend and I took a second order of them.. the salmon taratare has been taken off menu and you have to show the pic to order.. they take forever to serve as if they are downloading the recipe off the internet when ordered.. but they are worth the wait.. worth the price.. worth the second serving.. my friend took one for their bao buns and she liked it but doesnt come with the praises...

Nice and delegate environment. Their warm hospitality will melt your heart. And foods are really yummy. A little bit expensive than regular restaurants but worth it.

Izakaya is just awesome for japanese cuisine. Their food quality is great! Nice interior, good sitting arrangement. Since the restaurant is on the 9th floor, you can enjoy the outside view too. They have japanese chef. You can have a good experience overall.

Izakaya is a Japanese restaurant that sucks in Japanese foods. Dont get me wrong, they have excellent decor, excellent service. But I found their traditional Japanese cuisine very underwhelming. You may blame my taste buds, but Ive tasted better Japanese cuisine elsewhere and in renowned places.Otherwise, this would be my favorite dating place.

This is probably one of the best restaurants in Dhanmondi currently. The ambience and decor is beautiful. If you’re one who loves to hunt restaurants with a good decor to be the background of your Instagram photos, you’d love this place! And the good part is, it comes with good food too. I love their melted cheese beef skewers and assorted appetizers plate. Every item is plated delicately and has their own distinct tastes. They’re delicious and would recommend to not get too busy taking pictures of the food and eat it hot right away. Only complaint is the price is a bit steep, and quantity could be a bit more. Just a bittt more you know, cause it makes me sad when the good food gets gulped down so fast and I’ve paid a huge amount for it :( Oh and one cool thing I found out about them is they offer loyalty cards which in return give you good deals for repeating visits. So yes, good restaurant and food gets served pretty quickly on a normal day. Recommend for a try!

One of my top 5 restaurants in Dhaka! They offer a range Japanese fusion food. Everytime I take someone new, they try the food and they love it too!Beautiful decor with cherry blossoms and very friendly staffs.I highly recommend their Salmon tartare cone, grilled scallops and nori beef tacos!

There are some places that deserve way more than 5 stars. This is one place. Starting from ambience to service to food taste to the foreign chef coming out and thanking the note of appreciation we sent was spot on. It is rarely I have a occasion where I dont have any real improvement but considering its Japanese cuisine, I must say in Bangladeshi context this is one of the most close to authentic Japanese cuisine I have yet tasted. Kudos to the entire team and Chef Shomchai!

Hands down this is the best Japanese restaurant in Dhanmondi. Visited here over a dozen times and I was never disappointed. Every dish is authentic and tastes marvellous. The atmosphere is nice and brings a certain charm that’s hard to come by. Sushi here is amazing. Staffs serve you excellently. Digitally visit this place if you want authentic Japanese cuisine in Dhanmondi.

The beef noir tacos were amazing. But the amount of beef in beef teppanyaki was disappointing. The ebi maki roll was mediocre. Didn’t have much taste. Overall experience was good. Interior is really pretty.

By entering the restaurant, you can feel the luxury. Izakaya got a well-designed decoration, that teleports you instantly to a Japanese-themed environment. Small lanterns, the cherry blossom, wooden chairs and tables, all come together and calm down your mind. You can feel then zen mood immediately.We ordered a platter of Maki Roll, Prawn Tempura, Stir-fried Beef and Chicken Katsu. There is totally no complain for the food. I tried different Japanese restaurants in Dhaka. But Izakaya is my new favourite one! Definitely will visit again!

Behavior of the staffs, food presentation, and the ambience is absolutely incredible. Food is expensive as most sushi places are so that shouldnt be a concern I guess when you are going for Japanese food. The taste of the food seemed authentic and even if you ask silly questions regarding the food they would smile and tell you various things about the food and how to consume then in the best way.

Beautiful cherry floral decor and simple Japanese inspired furnishing. Live kitchen adds to the vibe of the place. They offer authentic Japanese cuisine and also fusion style dishes. Service was very friendly and food tasted quite good as well. A bit on the expensive side but they deliver on quality.

Great presentation and exquisite food. The interior design is lovely and so is the staff behavior. The wasabi is fake (like everywhere else) and the soy sauce is a little overpowering on the nori tacos, but the overall experience is well worth the price.

The most charming thing about this place is the cute cherry blossom interior decor and the warm welcoming staffs. Theyd greet you in Japanese and are prompt in service.Ordered the bao and some sushi. The food tasted good but the portions were quite small compared to the price they are charging.not too fulfilling. The bao was also very small in size.The added 10% service charge along with the 15% vat makes it a bit expensive for the food they serve. However, my experience with izakaya was pretty fine

Ordered their Valentine Special Offer for two person. Food was really good. However the quantity of the main dish remains much to be desired. Given the price of the dish, the quantity of the food served should be a bit more substantial.

All their food I have tasted so far were good. But I got so disappointed today after trying the ramen. It was tasteless. Not at all spicy, and above all the egg was smelly and felt like it was boiled long ago and was reheated before serving.Hospitality, environment and other items are so good that I can’t just give you guys less numbers. I hope the management will look into this.
