It is a specialized pain management center run by Prof. A. K. M. Akhtaruzzaman. He is the professor and current chairman of the Department of Anesthesia, Analgesia and Intensive Care Medicine of BSMMU (former PG hospital). He used to manage pain conservatively; but when required do the interventions. Besides the chamber and waiting space for patients; a physiotherapy room, a procedure room and a recovery room is there. There is also a small medicine dispensing corner here. The most common interventions done here are 1. Ozone therapy for PLID, 2. PRP therapy for pain, 3. Plexus block, 4. Facet block, 5. Trigeminal block etc. Besides pain management, it is also a center of learning. CME (continuous medical education) program on different aspects of pain and management held every Saturday. Time to time, workshop on pain management techniques held too. It is one of the most advanced pain management center of Bangladesh.
