An old school
This school is about one and a half hundred years old.The Pogos School was founded by Nicolas Pogos or Niki Pogos, an Armenian businessman, zamindar and influential citizen of Dhaka.Hope everybody on this site also had a great day!
The school, which is the first private educational institution in Dhaka, stands tall with its 182-year-old history in mind. The school, founded by the then influential zamindar Nicholas Pogos, was once the best educational institution. So the curious Swami Vivekananda, Michael Madhusudan Dutt also came to visit the school once. Many Rathimaharathis were students of this school. However, the poet Kaikobad, Shamsur Rahman, Kaliprasanna Ghosh, p. K. Roy, Girish Chandra Sen and others.Called the โPogos Laboratory Schoolโ on Chittaranjan Avenue, it is still contributing to the spread of education.
In 1980, passing the 5th grade from this school in February 1981, Feni came to the 6th grade in February 1981. Many memorials of Shiva are surrounded by this school.
Many old schools, had a lot of names at one time, but no longer have the same name as before.
