This is one of the best initiatives taken by Bangladesh Government to boost the socio-economic situation. Many local and foreign companies are investing in Economic Zones. BEZA governs all the permissions, documents and necessities for the companies. This initiative will also create job oppurtunities for a large number of unemployed people in Bangladesh.

Located in one of the most important, popular commercial area in Karwan Bazar crossing, beside Banglavision TV office. BEZA was officially instituted on 9th November 2010. The plan of this authority is to establish at least 100 Economic Zones in potential areas across the country. Office of Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority is attached with the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and is mandated to establish, license, operate, manage and control economic zones in the country. Location is fine; the building is an exclusive commercial building and head office of Abdul Monem group.

This is an autonomous government organization under the supervision of Prime Ministers Office with an objective to establish economic zones all around the country, so that all the industries can grow together. In terms of service delivery, this office is different from other government offices in Bangladesh. The officials are efficient, knowledgeable in their fields, and sincere in their works.

The economic zone investor can get most type of services such as trade license, vat, tin, DoE permission, clearances, etc. The officials of BEZA is very supportive & cordial. Its a single point of contact for investors. It will encourage foreigners to invest more in Bangladesh.

It provides one stop service to investors. It is under the direct control of Prime Ministers Office and headed by one Executive Chairman. He is supported by two members and other staffs. It taked support from different government agencies to develope basic infrastructure of these zones.
