Definitely a great place for the bookworms. One of the best places in Dhaka city for reading books and spending some time in solitude. There is a huge collections of books and both the indoor and outdoor environment is peaceful. Even you can take your kid to introduce them with the variety of books to open up their mind.

A very very beautiful place. Almost a readers heaven. I wish they had more variety of books. A good place to chill and read. They serve food for a very limited time. We missed breakfast by 10 min.

One of the most beautiful places in Dhaka. My collegeMohammadapur Government College is near from Bengal Boi. Me with my friends always enjoy a beautiful time, when we go to bengal boi. Literally, I go there to buy kishor alo and biggan chinta every month. Theirs coffees are very delicious. When we go there, we always took many photographs. Its really an amazing place. I love this place. 🥰

For the book lovers this is a haven. This is a 3 floor building full with lots of book. At ground flood there is a open library along with a cafeteria. The open air seating arrangement is attract the readers.On there floors they have coffee shop and libraries. Both Bengali and English book available here. I have seen books of different subject in their library.The environment is very gentle and silent. Anyone can enjoy a peaceful time over there.This is a open library, so anyone can step in and read book.

I must say for book lovers such a place is a heaven first time Ive seen ever in my country.Well decorated, highly maintained, serving pleasant environment for reading with peace in mind from the huge collection of book you want.Ive been there 4 times in first week so you can get how attractive the place is for a reader.Just Love it.

Most people don’t really go here to actually read books but hangout with their friends. This used to be a nice hangout place but it has become overly crowded and you can rarely find a place to sit. Also, depending on what you’re looking for, many families come here with their kids.And if you’re wanting to read the books, you should sit inside. There are some art exhibitions which take place here.

This is a great place book lover. Its a bookstore cafe with lawn. Three stored arrangements will blow your mind. Decorations are too good. Enough and adequate lighting at day and night to read books. Second floor is the kids zone. Variety of kids books are available here actually. And the great fact is, youll get some beautiful 🤳 selfie here. At first floor there is a coffee shop, so wouldnt be boring or hungry just by reading books all time. Youll get some quality snacks too. It close at 10pm everyday. Bengle boi is a place for book lovers. It is situated near to my house. So I often go there. This place also gives the food services. I really love thei tea and mutton kolizar singara at ground floor. Yummy coffee and different types of cakes are available at 1st foor. Reader can read book their for infinite period and can have food just beside reading. This a very clean and secured place. This place is also suitable for friends hang out and gossiping.

A free library with a cozy environment. The place is really nice to read and peace your mind. There is also canteen situated in every floor from there you can order some food to fill your hunger when reading food. Outdoor seating is also available and there is a smoking zone for smokers. Their Library have lots of books with different variety . They also sell some books but most of their books are for reading only. Recommended place for University students.

One can also exchange old books from here (you can give your two old books and take one book in exchange). You can also read and buy new books from their sales center. Living in Dhaka one may often complain about the lack of available space for reading. Bengal Boi is one such exception. Established in November 2017, “Bengal Boi was introduced as a bookstore and community space to encourage readership, stimulate creativity, and ignite the love for learning”. I first visited the Bengal Boi with my friends and instantly grew attached to the place.Downstairs there are almost a few hundreds of books at one’s disposal. You can just pick a book and commence reading. These are simply general books with variation so you can find any type of book there. Several seats are there for the convenience of the readers. They have their own cafeteria too. The interiors are well decorated and the staff and very amiable and helpful.Then at the top floors there are sections of all types in sequence: novel, autobiography, series and so on. Most of the English books are packaged and have to be collected from the counter for reading. You can also buy books if you want. There is an entire room dedicated for kids with fun toys and objects to play with!Bengal Boi has shifted from their old location to a new one with a much bigger area just nearby. During the time of pandemic all forms of safety precautions are being followed. The place is a heaven for all book-lovers. Highly recommended.

Warm lighting and interior bit too much emphasis on food consumption from from ground to 1st floor where books and foodies are almost side by side. Excellent book display but in very limited range. Lots of space for bookworms and the kids floor is awesome though it could use more classic kids books. Too chaotic on weekends for going through books.

A great place overall.You can not only buy books, you can also read them here. They have a variety of literature from every part of the world, mostly in English and Bengali. 2nd floor is for children books and comics. Their decoration is interesting and authentic. 3rd floor is open and decorated with plants and books.Its like a cozy library with every imaginable comfort. You can enjoy reading books outdoor or just chatting with a cup of tea & snacks here. You can sit upstairs with a book in the air conditioned building or just on the balcony having a brownie or a cup of coffee.You can see the roads from the window. There is adequate sunlight in the building in daytime making the place homely.Bengal Boi also arranges concerts in their premises once in a while. They are quite enjoyable too.The quality of the food they serve seems to be quite satisfying.

The previous premises was better and bigger. This one is very small and congested. And for that it looks very crowded at all times. Sitting arrangement is also very limited and there are people who orders a little and spend a lot of time gossiping and others dont get chance to sit. The kids section used to be a lot bigger and the kids used to love it, but in this building it is very very small. I hope they will get back to earlier setup one again.

Located near Meena Bazar, Dhanmondi road 27, its a large library. They have large collection of books, both Bangla and English. Price is a bit expensive compared to new market or Nilkhet obviously. You can either buy or borrow books from here. They accept credit card. Street parking available.

They have floor for kids book reading..You will get 3 kinds of food here. At the ground floor you will get local tasty snacks: Sinatra, chop, Pandora, puro and tea. You can read book here while biting on your fav snack. The puri they sell tastes amazing. On the 2nd floor you will get a coffee shop and at the chilekotha(4th floor) you will get a kebab shop... you can read everywhere except at the coffee shop. And you can not bring books of one floor to another..

Bengal boi is a very nice place for reading and buying books. Their collection is very rich. All ages people go there to read or buy book. Reading facility is also very attractive. The convention of reading or selling is not like library or traditional book shop, it is totally different and unique system. For purchasing book they allowed credit or debit card. Book exchange facility is also so great, you can get a new book instead of two old book. Very attractive and different types reading space is really nice, uncommon and unique.

Tons of books are arranged in beautifully designed cabinets and shelves that u can take one & read sitting on the chairs, stairs, window bases, anywhere without paying a penny. Now in this fast growing business world,its unfamiliar that there is some book shop in a entire house where u can enjoy books without buying it. Even it serves u with the best environment to only read books. I wonder what will be more amazing to me than reading my Sunil kakus novels lying on a cusion near the window when its raining outside.. i can literally feel the charm.

Love the open space at bengal boi where you can breathe fresh air while hanging out. The gound floor serve light items like cha, poori, singara, potato chop.The poori they serve is crunchy and tastes good. The ground floor have huge collection of books which you can read it for free.The only downside is they dont allow to use laptop there which I think is a good decision from them.There is a restaurant at rooftop known as chilekotha. They serve bangla items like chaap, kebab, paratha, naan. I had seekh kebab there once and it was good. The paratha was good too, not much oily and crunchy as well.The interior is well decorated and you will love to spend your time there with your loved ones.
