I do echo some of the other reviews sentiment regarding the service in this place. I did have a negative experience dealing with some of the staff. The steak I order was cooked rare when I asked for it to be cooked well done. Mistakes happen; that is understandable. However, the situation was not handled professionally. The manager (or was he a waiter?) instead of trying to fix the situation or at least make the best out of it hinted that it was my mistake not reading the menu and knowing that that specific dish is cooked rare by default.I have never came across a situation like that before. Regardless of who was at fault here, I am not sure how antagonising me this way could make the situation any better for either of us. Not sure what outcome exactly they were expecting out of it.The ambience was quite nice. It was disappointing that service and the restaurant management overall were not up to the same level. They wont see me or anyone I know there again.
We had dinner here on Monday evening for a communion celebration, we sat in the terrace overlooking the gardens. The service, food and setting was just perfect. The service was super, everyone was so lovely. It made the occasion all the more special and I couldn’t recommend it more. Looking forward to our return meal.
Myself and my wife enjoyed a wonderful evening at Fire restaurant on Saturday evening, to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We were served by a lovely young lady called Erica, who very attentive and courteous. The food was excellent and plentiful. We definitely will be returning to Fire restaurant.Best regards,Peter & Siobhán Butler..
Dined last night the food was top class could not fault it our steaks were cooked perfectly. The reason for 3 stars would be the service. Unfortunately our anniversary was not acknowledged. Was left with no cutlery when our food was served. The waiters were not checking on us. Water was not refilled and put back on the table. Seemed like staff were doing everything other than looking after us
Celebrated our daughters Communion and had a family lunch. She was really treated like a guest of honour by staff and I am so grateful. Would highly recommend and will go back definitely!
Had better meals at 3 star places. Think they need to up their game. Gristle on my steak in a 4 star steakhouse and had crab to start, can forgive one bit of shell but got several
Restaurant location is great in the city center.Service was poor had to remind several times from waiters.Food is average. For this money we ate much better elsewhere.I dont know why ask me how to cook my meat if they cant. A restaurant with such a nice atmosphere deserves better service and cuisine.
We ate here after the first lockdown and it was amazing. We still talk about the meal we had.Unfortunately I fell down the stairs after the meal. The floor was quite slippy however my tall shoes and the half bottle of wine at dinner probably contributed to it. No injuries and Ill definitely be returning for another meal
Very good meal and service . French onion soup was excellent. Make sure to wear warm clothes though a definate breeze where we sat
The service was really nice. The food was lovely. Service was very efficient this time compared to last time. The staff were really friendly. They had sanitation points everywhere. The staff were cleaning their hands all the time. This made us feel very comfortable eating there. Also, we were there to celebrate a birthday and they were nice in marking the occasion with ice-cream. Brian Bean, the restaurant manager personally welcomed us to the restaurant and also asked us if we were OK throughout our meal.
Customer service was exceptional. Food was also excellent. Worth the trip.
Had a brilliant night at Fire last eve 03/09/2021. 8 friends seated in a beautiful area of the restaurant. Food excellent, service also excellant. Staff very polite. Toilets spotless. Covid regulations adhered to without interfering with our enjoyment of the evening. Highly recommend it.
Amazing place, food, and service.I want to highlight service, because it was amazing, the attention to the detail and the polite service is spectacular. COVID regulations 100% in place, hand sanitizer, sanitizer towels, spacious, indoors/outdoors sittings with sanitized blankets. Really good place to go, to enjoy the enjoyable part to be good served and feeling save at any time.I will fully recommend it, also as mentioned AMAZING FOOD!Definitely I will come back.
Flawless from start to finish. Great food and great cocktails. The alfresco menu is to die for with such variety. Highly recommended the scallops and thr Victoria 2.0 cocktail
Great Experience. Staff was lovely. Excellent Service. The steak was exquisite. I ordered medium rare, the starter was lovely. The atmosphere was amazing. The music was in tune with the type of food served. All in all would definitely recommend for any occasion. Completely Covid compliant, photos attached.
Awesome restaurant! Everything was so divine, the place was so exquisite. We were seated outside under the canopies for COVID restrictions and to shield us from any upcoming rain. Well, rain there was! The rain barely touched us (except a few leaks between the canopy joints) and the staff were working overtime to compensate for any drops that got close. They brought out umbrellas for those who wanted to smoke under the thunderstorm 😂 The food I ordered was simply gorgeous and my friends loved their food as well! Brilliant steakhouse, will try and go again.
Amazing food, great atmosphere, Five star experience *****
Good food, nice wines waiters very attentative
On arrival we were greeted by Imelda, who made us feel so welcome and gave us the 5 star treatment! Cocktails were amazing and a varied selection to choose from. For starter, we had the garlic and chorizo prawns. We are still talking about this amazing dish! For mains, we had tomahawk steak for two. It was beautifully cooked and just as we requested. Staff were very accommodating thoughout the night. The venue is beautiful and adds to the experience! Highly recommend for anyone wanting a special night in Dublin.
FIRE were a great place for outdoor dining at the moment with their outdoor terrace overlooking Dawson street a step above almost other outdoor dining options in dublin. The atmosphere was lovely for an evening meal. The food was excellent quality, and at a good value price with their Al Fresco set menu for €55. Service was very good also.
Fantastic experience all round - great staff, good food & great setting. This was our first time out in a long time but it was perfect. Staff looked after us really well & the food was a real treat.
Excellent Service! I loved the menu layout as a preserve 3 course meal. 11/10. Our server was spectacular, helping my Dad and I with suggestions, going as far as getting us the T-bone (includes the filet and the sirloin) and the ribeye just so we could try all 3 cuts.
Super food and good service. Pricey, but expected. Premium location - a nice treat.
Very nice venue, lovely staff. Starters and main course was very good but cheese board was disappointing. Too many dried components. However companions had sweet desserts of strawberry and ice cream, applecrumble and parfait and it was all delicious.
Outdoor dining at its best ...they’ve created a very nice relaxing area called The Champagne Garden. Staff so friendly and very attentive ...delicious food and great selection for the set lunch menu. A lovely sunny warm Summers afternoon lunch with friends .
Very nice place. We started off with a glass of wine at the lounge which had a really good atmosphere. The restaurant part is much more spacious and lively than expected. Food was very tasty. The rib eye steak in particular was superb and cooked well. The waitress on the night wasnt great but overall a very pleasant experience.
Fantastic dining experience. Jonathan was our wonderful server and he was just wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was exquisite drinks were beautiful and you could barely feel the incrouching covid precautions.
I was looking forward to this restaurant but left a little disappointed. We were not happy being seated outside in the cold. This area lacked atmosphere. The oysters were divine. I liked the steak, but it wasnt the best Ive had! On the plus side I cant fault the staff. Unless Im guaranteed an upstairs table, I wont be back.
Worst restaurant I have ever eaten in, to call the food mediocre would be a compliment. The service was the worst I have ever experienced rude staff from maitre d to waitress and even the manager. If your looking for quality , value and a good time avoid this place.
My first post-lockdown dining experience and it could not have been more wonderful. Fire has never failed to deliver in the past and last weekend was no exception.Their covid safety plans are evident from arrival to exit and the staff are friendly, well-trained and deliver excellent service. Our food was cooked perfectly, three different steak types all cooked to the correct order (harder than it sounds for some restaurants) and a lovely sea breem also 👌And when your time slot runs out, youre not booted off the side of the balcony, but gently reminded and given the option to order a drink, which you can finish on the terrace below. Thank you to Agi, Fiona and the gentlemen who greeted and seated me whos name I apologise I did not catch! 😁
Excellent service - incredible steak and all food presented beautifully and sourced locally. We ate on the terrace which has the space for safe dining yet still feels intimate overlooking a water fountain. Highly recommended you treat yourself to some luxury at Fire
Great food .prawns where fantastic..lovely decor .... friendly staff ..music not so goof
Fantastic place, delicious food and amazing service.Highly recommended 👌
I recently celebrated my 50th here, one of my many nights out. We had a lovely little area, outdoors, and completely private. The food was just delicious and the staff were so nice, and a big thank you to Jonathan who kindly took some photos for me ay the end of the night.
Fire was quite overpriced I needn’t have worried about over eating - soup, a chicken breast and 3 scoops of ice cream for 45e (set menu) plus they charged us 11e for water even though they offered tap water and we said yes to tap water. The atmosphere was however really good and the staff were friendly.
A really fabulous restaurant. The staff, the place itself & the food was all wonderful. The staff at fire made our wedding anniversary very special for us. We will be back.
I had a beautiful meal. The service is top class, very helpful and polite.
It was a pleasure to have dined here for our anniversary meal, the staff were very warm with welcoming and attentive to us throughout our visit. The food was amazing as was the atmosphere, looking forward to dining here again in the very near future.
3 stars, because the starter was very good (oysters), dessert was very nice too, but the main course (Rib-eye) was burnt, the middle of the meat was as good as I asked for (medium), but the outside was burned with a black crust in some parts. Too high fire and careless barbecue (the piece of meat was good, but failed to prepare). Very good service with a super friendly team
Great spot, beautiful interior and high quality menu for great price. Would definitely revisit.
Amazing food, amazing service, amazing cocktails. I couldnt recommend this more as an experience to visitors to Dublin.
Came here with friends.Did not find the meat or the desserts great or amazing, specially for the price. We paid around 320€ for 5, with beer.Would prefer to try a new place instead of returning.Me and a friend had the three cut, and only one of the meats, the middle one, was good. The right cut was ok and the left one with bone, was not good. Extremely dry.The desserts were also too expensive for the quality and taste. The tomatoes and olives on the salad were very nice! The environment was nice :)
Great food. The sauces that came with the bread that you get while waiting for your meal were very tasty! My steak was made to perfection. my husband had a lamb starter that would easily have been a main course for me. It was so nice. The lentils with the bacon on that lamb was a shockingly tasty surprise. good ambience. Service was decent.
Really enjoy my meal. The Crab, Scallops and Cheese board. Highly recommend it
We liked our experience served. Good fish, good non alco drink.Attentive service,a lot of dining managers, security allowed us to make photos at the fountain after the feast
HelloOur first time this week to Fire restaurant.- The food was good but we are so disappointed with the desert : brownie so dry :( The plates decoration was nice to see.- The room is so beautiful and impressive but so noisy, but no bright enough to see the menu :)- The service was good, staff smiling, if i can comment two things about the service : it is not done to bring the bill without the customer having asked and the cocktail should have been served before the starter....
We really enjoyed our meal, Gorgeous place! Really friendly and welcoming staff and the food was fab ,I’d highly recommend and will definitely be returning.
Fantastic experience food and wine delish service excellent highly recommended will definitely be back 🥂🙂
Wonderful staff and very accommodating. Food excellent. Pity it was a rainy day for my 77th birthday but the belenis helped. Olive
Fabulous experience, food was of a very high quality and with a service to match, well worth a visit.
I had a pleasure to enjoy most wonderful afternoon in Fire with some amazing food and wine and top class customer service, I hope to be back there very soon!
Pricey, but service was very good and the food was gorgeous
Chose fire for our first wedding anniversary and really couldnt have been happier with it. The food, setting and staff were fantastic. The location of the restaurant is also amazing and will only get more attractive when the Luas line extension opens in early December 2017 which brings the light rail system right past the front door. Were already looking forward to next years anniversary!!
Steak is one of the nicest in Dublin literally melts in your mouth. Staff are very very welcoming and friendly great night for friends and family or just to bring the other half out for a nice meal I will definitely be returning here in the future.
Excellent food but the wine list is slightly ovrt priced.
Date 14th Aug 2021. We were here as a group of friends to celebrate a friends 29th birthday. As someone who doesnt eat beef or pork, I tried to get a few side options put together as a main but the waiter dismissed me without even checking with the chef, so I decided to opt for the Cauliflower Steak. I didnt have high expectations as places like these typically cater to the beef/pork/red meat palettes where there is little in terms of culinary skills involved and most flavor is apparently in the flesh, but enhanced further with bird lipids, salt and pepper. What came on my plate looked like partially burnt KFC fried chicken from a bin, topped with what looked like dehydrated vegetable roots. First impressions - same as watching the trailer for IT or Chucky. I love hummus, I always have a few tubs from different stores sitting in the fridge; if you overlook the enormous portion and the generous topping of olive oil, you will notice that it looks it was squeezed out of a toothpaste tube, no hint of parsley either. There were a few green dots (more suspicion), but I am guessing that was some parsley puree. This was printed on the bill @ 35€. I could have bought 35 fantastic cauliflowers (yes, Im the person from your school math problems) and cooked them in a variety of ways, served them with some delicious Hummus (M&S - hmmm) and got value for my hard earned money. This steak was a definite mistake!
This is my go to place when visiting Dublin, very stylish, beautiful spot with excellent food, well prepared and well served. The menu option is good value, but the meal is not cheap, just quality. Strangely, I had the Salmon this time, but have often had the steak which is also excellent. Wine is a little pricey, but we had a good Pinot Noir for a reasonable price. Well worth a visit for a special occasion. The downstairs bar provides a wide range of different alcohol brands as well as good cocktails.
Good food good ambiance....5 star service
Lovely surroundings, good social distancing, friendly staff, good food. Very pleasant evening
Good value for money, great outdoor dining environment
This is a very nice restaurant in a great location. It is part of the Mansion House building which is the home of the Lord Mayor of Dublin. This building was home to the first parliament of the Irish free state.Apart from that the food is top notch. I had the prawn starter followed by the filet beef and finished up with the ice cream and recommend all three. The atmosphere is akin to a hall buzzing with energy. The staff are very attentive and helpful.Try out their own fire beer while the, it is well worth sampling.
My friends and I went as a group to this restaurant as we have always passed it and said it looked amazing, the scenery and the location are both beautiful, however, when we came to this restaurant last night we felt were being treated differently to the surrounding tables and we felt a sense of judgement. We are in our early 20s and we were taking pictures of the food as it was beautifully displayed and also of each-other in order to remember the night and the scenery around us as we went as a special treat for exam completion. We felt the tables around us were treated differently and the atmosphere was very judgemental of us which unfortunately included staff- some were lovely and one even suggested and took pictures of us by the fountain- but others were dismissive of us and were judgemental of us. Our bill was also incorrect and added 2 drinks which we did not order and we believe it is because they thought we would not notice and upon asking for this to be changed the staff were reluctant to do so even though this was not our mistake and we had ordered 4 drinks and 4 3 course meals also. It was disappointing to see this treatment as we were looking forward to it so much.
Absolutely 1st class, staff brilliant food excellent
Fire was our first dining experience in Dublin, and it made a fantastic impression on us. From the overall ambience, to the service, and food my wife, son and I all loved it. We all had steak, which was cooked perfectly, drinks were delicious, and desserts were sumptuous. Highly recommended!
Lovely venue. Lovely staff. Lovely food. Great early bird menu also
My favourite restaurant in Ireland. The service is top notch staff are so pleasant and extremely well trained professional and very attentive. Food is amazing and always made to feel appreciated here. The venue is very nice and atmosphere is a little noisy but I loved the buzz of it and they welcome children and have excellent kids menu. 125e for 3 and left a nice tip. Cant wait to return.
Excellent food and service. A great meal experience.
