Will take more time if u visit badi mata mandir and if u go from badi mata mandir to this one following crowd then it will take time. If u want to save time the from ropeways go to badi mata mandir and return and go opposite direction. Nice temple

Superb place to visit if u are nearby!!! (I was in mumbai, still came here to take the blessings). Pure and cold drinking water available. Food here may disappoint you, but a walk of 10 mins towards bus stand can serve u well. The scenery which u get from the top is too good. The cold breeze will give u pleasure. Very Beautiful and peaceful place in Dewas.This place is 40km from indore.When you arrive in Dewas you see a mountain and temple in center of the city.There are many stairs which is towards temple.There are 4 ways for entering in temple.One backside and two front side.The 4th way is Ropeway facility which is cost around 83₹ for normal person.When you climb stairs and reached to temple you see many street shops in navratri festival.there are two ways for two Devis temple.There are many small temples .You also see a Kund(well) in this place.Beautiful top view of Dewas city you can see from this place.the view is awesome.You can visit this place by personal transport.and by bus from indore and also train.

Dewas is known for Devi Chamunda temple and Devi Tulaja Bhavani temple situated on a 300-foot (91 m) hilltop, Dewas Tekri.A broad flight of stone steps and A ropeway leads to two shrines to the goddesses, Choti Mata (Chamunda Mata) and Badi Mata (Tulja Bhavani Mata). Numerous other temples spread over Tekri can be explored on foot.Swami Shivom Tirtha wrote the history of the hill (Tekri ) of Dewas in his book, Sadhan Shikhar. Inspired by the area, E.M. Forster wrote The Hill of Devi in 1953. One is that Dewas lies at the base of a 300-foot (91 m) conical hill, known as Chamunda hill, on top of which the shrine of Chamunda is located. The image of the goddess is cut into the wall of a cave, known as Devi Vashini or the goddess’s residence. From this, the name Dewas (dev-vas) seems to have been derived. The other view of the probable origin is from the name of the founder of the village, Dewasa Bania.According the book Amche Dewas, for centuries the Goddess Chamunda had been known as Rakt (bloody) Chamunda due to sacrifice (bali) tradition at the temple. But after government ban on sacrifice the previous name disappeared from the minds of people. The temple was constructed by Tara Raje, who was the sister of erstwhile Gwalior ruler Madhavrao Scindia and married to the Krishnajirao Puar (IInd)of ruler of Dewas senior estate.

Best place to visit.Oldest tempal in madhyapradesh.Sitwayted in dewas.Urlear w have to go with stairs now they have a ropway for that.Almost 400 steps r there and there r 3 rodes from where u can go there.
