Situated in the Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh, 25 kms away from Lucknow, Dewa or Dewa Sharif is a small town which is renowned world wide for the shrine of Haji Waris Ali Shah. Considered to be a prominent site of Muslim heritage, the shrine also has a mosque and a khankah within the premises, and is regularly visited by pilgrims.

Deva Sharif is located in Barabanki. Here is the tomb of Haji Saheb, which is highly respected. All the devotees come here with reverence. This is a very nice place which is absolutely necessary to visit once.

If youre looking for a good drive on the city outskirts, go to Dewa Shareef Mazaar in Barabanki. There is 4 wheeler parking near a overhead water tank inside the main bazaar. You can coordinate with the local flower vendors and they will provide the parking. You can wear your footwear all the way inside till the main Durgah where a footwear stand is available. Please be mindful to cover your head when inside the premises. Photography inside the Durgah is prohibited. You can also catch the live Qawalli sometimes. You can shop for lobaan and terracotta utensils or showpieces in the bazaar.Pay homage to the Sufi saint- Haji Waris Ali Shah
