This beautiful places welcomes you for the greenery world..!Train stops here only for 2 minutes, have to get down soonerRailway station looks like an old antique buildingVery greenery!! Heart feels so good by the fresh air over there..Once you get down from the train out side the auto driver and the car driver will be waiting, make sure you bargain with them nor they will quote a very high amount for dropping to your location.
The station is nestled in lush green surroundings. About 1.5 km inside the main road. Road ends at station. People say the auto rickshaws and other mode is available to go to Gokarn town, but unfortunately due to covid lockdown i had to wlk down that 1.5 km to get the auto rickshaw. Station is very clean, and maintained. Specious. There is only one tea stall again the same story. There are two platforms and the main one is having reasonable length covered and second one is scantily covered. This is with all relatively smaller stations of Kokan railway. As the route is relatively new compared with other trunk routes.Thumbs up for the Kokan railway and Gokarna road railway station.
Convenient station for visitors to Gokarna beach and it has toilet facilities. There are two trains running from Gokarna to Bengaluru everyday. Morning and evening via kumta, honnavar, Bhatkal, suratkal, sakleshpur, Subramanya road, sakleshpur, Hassan to Yeswanthpur.
Not a well maintained station! Given the geography and location, the conditions are acceptable... You can reach Gokarna from here by road (8-9 km)...
Waited almost a day for train 😂 but still it was a awesome experience
Recently I visited gokarna road railway station, I had to catch train from there, I arrived early from murudeshwar, I had to wait a long, there is a small shop for tea snacks but that will not be open all the time . You cant get a taxi from there. Bus stop is nearly 1.5 km away from there and the road to bus stop is like a deserted area. Better avoid travelling in night.Station is neat and clean. Wifi is not available there, and airtel network also. If network comes it will be like 2G.Thank you. . .Safe journey . . .
Railway station is inside and one cant find any rentals nearby. There are autos and cabs available near the railway station.
Beat way and inexpensive way to travel gokarna is by trains , it is cheaper and gives you amazing views if u travel from banglore side ,from Bangalore karwar is the only train traveled from the it is 12 hr journey, traveling gokarna in Monsoon is the best time less crowded and more enjoyment. So it better to travel by train
I took a train from Murudeshwar to Gokarna. Train just stopped on the tracks near station and I was shocked to see that there are no platforms on either side of the train for me to get down safely. On top of that there is another train on the track next, waiting to leave. Its also deserted with a few autorickshaws. Its better to avoid this station and catch a bus to Gokarna directly.
Small konkan railway station approx 8-9km from gokarna town.Only have one small shop inside the station. Toilets is okay ( usable ). Station have Mobile charging plugs. No buses available at station but you can get auto & taxi.if you want to get bus you have to come approx 1km from station to main Road.In the main Road you get many buses coming from gokarna or from other near by towns which goes to gokarna
Nature at its best
A cute lil railway station...for the lovers of IR
Blissful and scenic views.Beautiful western ghats.Breathtaking landscapes, awestruck nature, chilling breeze is all you witness while travel through these places via train.Recommended post summer and before winter.Must visit. Keep environment safe and clean.
Small and clean station.Get down at crossing if youre coming by bus and walk/ take auto. Its about 400-500m away.
Rural station.
All you will find here is train and a few autos. Thats about it
Great place to visit
Road leading to railway station is marvellous during rainy season.
Good
Supper nature placed
Neatly maintained small station. Staffs are friendly. Only seven pair of trains stop here, out of which two pair only daily trains. Rest are biweekly, triweekly trains. Bus stop is situated 1km from station, we have to walk through. Auto rickshaws are available at selective train timings
Gokarna is a small temple town on the western coast of India in the Kumta taluk of Uttara Kannada district of the state of Karnataka. The main temple and deity is Lord Shiva, who is also known as Mahabaleshwara. This temple houses what is believed to be original image of Lord Shivas linga (Atmalinga). There are many other temples all over this small town. Ankola and Kumta on NH66 are the main towns where as Bhatkal and Karwar are the main small cities near Gokarna where almost all trains have halts and are connected to major cities like Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mangalore and Mumbai through bus service..Gokarna is known as one of the seven important Hindu pilgrimage centers. It is on what was once an unspoiled beach near the estuary of the river Aghanashini. Recently, due to the influx of tourists, the character of the town has changed; it is no longer just a centre of pilgrimage, though large numbers of devotees visit to offer prayers and worship to Lord Shiva.Due to its laid-back, unspoiled and rustic nature many younger western tourists started visiting Gokarna about a decade ago. The beaches around Gokarna were hardly used by the locals until these mainly western tourists started coming.Enterprising locals started stores and restaurants, and now the resorts also cater to wealthier tourists..well experience for tourists and best spot for monsoon season and it have a small road and people love to enjoy the trip and people enjoy in beach with some music and dancing and some more naughty things. Visit one time with your family and friend....thank you for a lovely places..
Good Railway Station. Kudos to Konkan Railways for maintaining it so well.
You dont realise how far it is from Gokarna but useful little station
Gokarna station needs proper lighting. Most trains reach Gokarna at early morning when it is pretty dark mere filament bulbs hardly serve the purpose. The platform height needs elevation specially for senior citizens like me. The position where the A2 coach stops has broken pavement as a result of which I tripped and fell while alightingThis station could do well with better maintenance.
Small Station With Dormitory Facility.... Waiting Room and Toilets..Neetly Maintained .
We came from cancona to gokarna train station but then from the station we wanted to go to main beach. There is autos asking between 200rs and 400rs. If walk 1km through the road you will find a bus that goes to gokarna bus stand for 10rs. By the way you have a lot of good views from the train if you come from Goa.
Nice tourist place to enjoy the natures beauty.. Sea beaches.. Mirjan Fort.. Bibhuti Water fall.. Yana caves..And many more things..
Its a peaceful railway station with no crowd. Not enough shops or amenities in and around though
Calm, serene and neat. Connects to all stations in west coast.

Good and nice place. But no mobile phone internet network speed
Well maintained local railway station
It is really a small and clean railway station. It has only 2 rail tracks. One for the trains which stops at gokarna and the other one for the passing trains.
Near to famous pilgrimage Gokarna. Low level platform.
No buses are available at railway station premises or entrance,Auto and taxis are available at anytime by train arrives and departs,Near railway station 1km away bus Stop is there and by auto go there, and we can catch bus from there to Gokarna NWKSRTC bus stand.About 10kms Gokarna Railway station to Gokarna NWKSRTC Bus Station and the temple about 1km from Bus Stand and the temple timings are morning to afternoon and after 10 clock to evening 5pm no Darshan and after 5 to 8pm towards temple on the beach way side free meals on basis of the temple management and from temple to main beach walk about 10minutes, by evening the temperature decreases and sunset can see..Overall good place
It is some 8Km from Gokarna Town and autowalas charges ₹200 one side. They are always avlbl wen Matsyagandha Exp or Bangalore-Karwar-Bangalore Exp arrives/departs.Nice station dormitory rooms are avlbl by railway authorities @₹200for 12 hrs and ₹300for 24 hrs but staying here is of no use as it is in bw jungles and nothing is avlbl to eat. one eateries shop is also for passengers.s

The railway station is small but neat, clean, and….Significantly, the Xoprexa Railways has a stop here ...There are auto taxis though there is no bus ……300 crore for Gokarno or Rs 10 crore for bus stops.Half a kilometer walk to the bus stop .....From there you can join Gokarna for Rs 10 .....Railwy station all place is osm ......
There are sockets, the station is clean, the fans on the street help to cope from the heat. I was afraid that we would not have time to catch the train to Modgaon, since he was not standing there for long, but everything was in order.
Very good station, a lot of bench to wait.
