It is one of the famous and ancient temple in Jamsande. Dirba devi is Kuldaivat of many families in nearby villages. Visiting the holy temple gives the positive energy and is very spiritual. Lord Rameshwar and Ganesha temple is also beside it. It has a yearly fair known as Tipar on the occasion of Tripurari poornima. The festival of Holi is celebrated by twelve villages in this temple.

Shri Dirbadevi - Rameshwar Temple, JamsundeDevgad ST on Devgad-Nandgaon road. 3 km from the station. In the distant village of Jamsande, there are two temples, Shri Dirbadevi and Shri Rameshwar, which are 300 years old. It is the village deity of Jamsunde-Devgad. Surrounding these village deities are the temples of Narayan, Adinath Ganapati, Pavanai, Maruti, Brahmandev. Dirbadevi is enshrined in the main temple. There is a good asphalt road to reach the temple.Devgad port has a very important place in international trade in the past. Idols were traded in Sri Lanka and Burma. Probably a merchant on a ship stranded in a storm hid in the sea to lighten the load on the ship or to save the idol from the wreckage. This idol was found by the Khawale-Dhawale congregations of the Gabit community in the Devgad-Mithambari sea area. This makes the fishermen feel at home. There is a stone wall around the temple. It is built by Mahervashini from Bhide in Bhatwadi. There is a foot well in the yard. There are four lighthouses. Veergal is also in the temple premises. The idol of Shri Devi Dirbadevi is in Sushumna tone. The idol always feels alive. The statue dates back to ancient times and is two feet high. The idol is bifurcated and is carved out of black stone. Devotees believe that all Devgad and Jamsande villages are protected. The temple has a high spire. Inside the temple, the landscaping on the floor and walls, the beautiful use of marble tiles is becoming a tourist attraction. The ruins of the temple are already visible around the temple.Behind the temple is a 700-800 year old idol of Vishnu. The nose of this idol is crushed. From this it is clear that this is a testament to the Shaivite and Vaishnava religious debate. God Rameshwar was Vishnu, the god of Shaivites and Vaishnavism. However, the idol of Vishnu is on the back side as Rameshwars pindi is worshiped. The carvings of Vishnus Dashavatara on this idol are amazing. Curious to see it. Many temples in Konkan have such valuable ancient idols. The cannon provided to Dirbadevi by Kanhoji Angre is in front of Rameshwar Temple.Everyone is convinced that Dirbadevi, a place of worship for the people of Devgad and thousands of devotees, stands up for the needs and help of the devotees. If there is any good deed or if one wants to go on a journey outside the village, he bows before every Jamsandekar and Devgadkar goddess with devotion.
